The third and final day of Vadodara Literature Fest 4.0 was held at Parul University Vadodara. The day focused on discussions around literature, society, and governance. Students, academicians, writers, and literature enthusiasts participated actively in the sessions.
The day featured well-known author and columnist Ms. Shobhaa De and Mr. Anil Swarup, former Education Secretary to the Government of India. Their sessions combined literary expression with discussions on leadership and governance, offering different perspectives to the audience.
Ms. Shobhaa De spoke on literature, identity and contemporary society. She shared insights from her writing journey and discussed how literature can reflect social realities. Further, she spoke about ambition and said that ambition has no gender. She also encouraged young writers to write honestly and in their own voice. She advised them not to follow market trends but to focus on their personal truth while writing.
Mr. Anil Swarup spoke on governance, leadership and public service. He shared experiences from his time in administration and highlighted integrity, empathy, and accountability as the main elements of effective governance. He spoke about the importance of listening, serving people and focusing on what can be achieved. He also discussed how character is reflected during difficult times.
The third day marked the conclusion of Vadodara Literature Fest 4.0 at Parul University Vadodara. Overall, the festival focused on encouraging open dialogue, diverse thinking and critical engagement through discussions on literature and public life.
