Admission: The professors are really good at teaching. The course content is interesting and we get to do hands-on stuff. Exams can be hard, especially the ones from the university. You need to pass at least half of them. It's useful to know the local language for talking to people around here. Nursing is all about learning on your own and getting some help. The atmosphere here is pretty competitive.
Placement: I got placed in top hospitals like Tata Memorial Hospital in Kolkata and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in New Delhi. The highest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month for freshers. We also did internships in hospitals in Guwahati like GMCH and Base Hospital. I started working as a trainee nurse in one of these hospitals.
Campus: The house is awesome for studying. It has everything you need. The food is okay for vegetarians. There isn't a canteen in the hostel, but there are medical and sports facilities. You can live in Assam's natural beauty with hills nearby. Sometimes you can see elephants walking by the hostel.
