Admission: The teachers in my department are super experienced, with over 15 years of teaching under their belt. Most of them have Ph.Ds from top universities like IITs. The teaching is good, but it could be more up-to-date. The semester exams aren't too hard; if you keep up with your studies, you can get a good CGPA. However, the pass rate isn't that great.

Placement: I'm a student at Assam Engineering College. I heard from a senior that the placement rate isn't super high, but around half of the students get jobs each year. Companies like Wipro and TCS visit for placements, along with PSUs like ONGC and IOCL. The average salary is 7 lakh, and the highest so far was 24 lakh for a chemical branch student.

Campus: In my department, we have modern lab facilities and our own library. There's Wi-Fi available too. But as a student living in the hostel, I have to say the facilities aren't great. The food in the mess is really bad and we don't even have enough tables and chairs. It's not up to the mark.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome! They're super supportive and know their stuff. They really connect with us students. They use lots of cool ways to teach, making sure we understand everything. Thanks to them, many of us got internships.

Placement: Most of my friends got job offers after college with good pay. They're pretty satisfied with what they got. The highest salary was 6.4 lakhs a year, and the lowest was 2 lakhs. The average salary was around 3.2 lakhs per year.

Campus: The college has everything you need playground, library, and auditorium. The classrooms have cool stuff like projectors and speakers. The canteen has yummy snacks and the hostel is super comfy. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers are really nice and helpful here. They care about us and make sure we understand everything. The exams are okay, mostly from ASTU. Some subjects are a bit old-fashioned, but overall, the courses are good. The student-teacher ratio is high, but the connection between us is great. Some students struggle with exams, but others do really well.

Placement: Once we hit the seventh semester, we start getting job offers on campus. There are over 50 cool companies like Bajaj, LG, and Tata that come to our college for placements. The highest salary this year for chemical engineering was 24 LPA! The average salary is around 10-12 LPA, which is pretty good. More than 60% of students get placed, and some even start their own businesses. Lots of us also get internships from big companies. I'm not sure about the exact percentage of students who land internships, though.

Campus: The labs are okay, they have what you need but nothing too fancy. Some spots on campus have free Wi-Fi which is cool. The library is nice, lots of different books there. The hostel rooms are decent, you share with one other person. Bathrooms are clean too. The food in the mess isn't the best, but they have both veg and non-veg options. For non-veg, you can get chicken or fish. The canteen has good food too and a big dining area. College week has tons of sports activities going on which is fun.

Admission: The teachers at Assam Engineering College are really smart and nice to us. The civil engineering teachers are super helpful. We have exams every semester, but they're okay.

Placement: I love studying at Assam Engineering College! It's the top engineering college in the state. The placement rate here is the best among all the engineering colleges in Assam. Last year, the highest salary package offered was 18 lakhs per year.

Campus: I really like Assam Engineering College because they have awesome facilities for engineering students. They've got all the labs and equipment we need, and the hostel is top-notch too. It's a great place to study and learn.

Admission: The teachers here are mostly permanent. They're good at teaching and help us get ready for the industry. The semester exams are challenging, but around 60% of us pass without failing any subjects. The exams are fair, and we also have mid-semester exams during the middle of the semester.

Placement: Around 60% of students got placed last year. Some students from Civil and Mechanical departments landed government jobs. The highest salary was 24 LPA, and the average was 6 LPA. Companies like ONGC, IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL recruit students from our college.

Campus: The campus vibes are cool with a vintage touch, built right after independence. The labs, especially in Electrical, Civil, Computer, Electronics, and Chemical departments, are awesome. Hostel life at Assam Engineering College is honestly the best.

Admission: The teachers at AEC are really smart and the students are nice. The only issue is that there aren't enough teachers for the number of students, so it takes longer to finish courses. When we finish on time, it's hard to keep up with the class work.

Placement: The placement scene at Assam Engineering College is pretty good. Lots of companies come for placements, such as NRL, ONGC, Vedanta Limited, and more. The highest package offered was 24 LPA to 8 students, while the average was 7 LPA in 2024. Good opportunities all around!

Campus: The college needs better facilities. There's no indoor stadium and the gym doesn't work. But the hostels are nice. There are 9 hostels - 8 for guys and 1 for girls. Food in the mess is decent, but it differs between hostels.

Admission: Most of our professors have Ph.Ds. They are really qualified and always ready to help us out. They take time to talk to us one-on-one. We can ask them anything we're confused about. Our course teaches us how to be good engineers and solve real-world problems. We have mid term and end semester exams. The end semester exams are tough, but the teachers are so good that not many students fail.

Placement: Around half of us get jobs here. The highest salary is around 20 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Big companies like ONGC, Oil India Limited, and NRL hire students from our college. We also get internships through AICTE. These include social internships, academic internships, and industrial internships in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters.

Campus: The college has Wi-Fi in all departments for 24 hours. There are two libraries for studying. Classrooms have digital boards and projectors. They have 9 hostels with good, affordable food and 24/7 electricity, water, and Wi-Fi. You can use the sports facilities and gym to stay fit.

Admission: The teachers are all really knowledgeable and have PhDs from top colleges. They give us enough attention with a good teacher-to-student ratio. The subjects are set up well for both jobs and further studies. We have 3 tests and a final exam each semester. The exams are based on old questions and aren't too tough to do well in.

Placement: I did my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering last year (2024). Around 80% of us got placed, which was cool. The pay was decent, with most starting around 4.5 LPA. Some lucky ones even scored up to 24 LPA! Companies like TCL, ONGC, and AUDI came for placements. But sadly, there weren't many internships available. Job roles offered were field engineer, senior coordinator, and analyst. Overall, it was a good experience!

Campus: The campus is kinda old compared to other colleges, but it's got everything you need like Wi-Fi in all classes and smart TVs. The labs are cool with all the latest equipment from top companies. There's 8 boys' hostels and a big girls' hostel, all with good facilities for a comfy stay. The mess serves non-veg food 5 days a week and veg 2 days a week, plus veg breakfast and lunch every day. And each hostel has its own sports stuff for staying active.
