Admission: Starting the admission process felt simple from the beginning. Online forms were easy, document submission was handled efficiently on campus, and even the orientation covered all essentials clearly.

Academic: Honestly, back in 12th class, I had no clue about the Industrial Engineering and Management branch. When I came to B.M.S College of Engineering Bengaluru for this course, I found out it's quite an old field. It's not a super bad branch, but also not amazingly good, just kind of in the middle.

Placement: About placements here, the college does help us get jobs. High packages, like 45-55 lpa, are mostly for IT branches such as CS, EC, and AIML. But for core branches, my branch included, the highest we usually see is around 10-15 lpa. My specific branch actually gets 12-16 lpa sometimes. What's tough is that even really good students from core branches, who study hard, sometimes don't get any jobs after they finish college.

Campus: Campus life here is just alright, not super amazing. You'll notice that not everyone mingles, and some people mostly stick with their native groups. What's also a bit annoying is how clubs work. They often don't really care about talent; instead, they mostly pick students who are already close friends with existing club members.

Admission: Getting admission in BMSCE was quite streamlined. The counselling process was very organized, and the staff helped a lot with document verification. We received clear instructions for registration, and the orientation was a good start. Overall, a smooth experience. The admission process here was surprisingly smooth. From the merit list announcement to final registration, everything was well-managed. Document verification went quickly, and the team was supportive. Communication about the orientation schedule was also very clear. My admission experience at BMSCE was positive. The application and counselling phases were clearly laid out. Responses to queries about document submission and fee payment were quick. Orientation made settling in easier after successful registration.

Academic: The curriculum here is good, I like it because the subjects are very future-oriented. They will really help us out later on. But honestly, having so many exams makes me feel quite stressed and a little panicky sometimes.

Placement: The placements here are quite decent, you know. Like, last year, one student got a crazy high package of 50 lakhs. And the average package is also good, around 8 lakhs. So yeah, seeing these numbers, I feel this college is pretty good and will definitely help me out after I graduate.

Campus: From my experience, campus life is going really well because I've made so many friends here. We have big college fests like Phase Shift Utsav that happen regularly. Plus, you can play different sports too, including football, cricket, basketball, and kho kho.

Admission: The COMEDK counselling route felt simple to navigate. Verification was efficient, registration counters moved fast, and orientation clarified everything for new students.

Academic: I really want to work in the VLSI and semiconductor field, that's why I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering. There's a lot of theory in this course, so I am hoping we get to do many practical things also.

Placement: Our campus sees many companies coming for placements and internships. Around 80% of students usually get placed every year, which is good. The highest package in 2024 was 33L CTC, given by Atlassian Company to four students from ECE. For internships, students in their 5th semester take exams from these companies. If they clear it, they get an internship after their 6th semester ends. Only 7th semester students can apply for job placements.

Campus: College has these two big fests every year: UTSAV, for cultural things, and PHASESHIFT, which is our tech fest. I'm really active in these and all the club events too. And talking about the library, it's just amazing; one entire floor is only for the library.

Admission: Joining BMSCE felt welcoming because instructions for fees, registration, and orientation were simple to follow, with staff always available for help.

Academic: The exams here are usually of moderate difficulty, which is pretty fair. What I noticed is there's a lot of theory subjects and not enough practical classes. The syllabus for theory feels quite old and it's not really relevant to what today's industry needs. On the bright side, most of the college events happen exactly as planned in the calendar.

Placement: Talking about placements, around 35% of students got jobs in 2024. The others decided to go for higher studies instead. Students can sit for these placements when they are in their 4th year. Also, if you do really good in your internships, sometimes you can get placed directly from there.

Campus: Our college has many clubs and events, which is a good thing. If someone is interested, they can join NSS and NCC too. But the campus is kinda small, and there are no proper sports facilities. Still, the library is quite good; it's easy to get into and has all the books and stuff we need for studies.

Admission: My admission at BMSCE was quite streamlined. After securing my rank, the COMEDK counselling steps were clear. Document verification was quick, and the staff at the admission office were very supportive. The whole registration process and initial orientation were well-managed, making the transition easy.

Academic: Our course curriculum is pretty decent, it's all based on the VTU semester system. We have semesters happening every six months. In each semester, there are three internal exams, and also lab exams for subjects that require them.

Placement: My college, BMSCE, is known for its awesome placements, and most of the students here get good jobs. We have more than 120 different companies coming for placements from all sorts of fields. You can easily say it's one of the best colleges for placements among all the VTU colleges in our state.

Campus: College gives students many good opportunities to do what they like, especially in extra activities. Like, we did robotics and even went to IIT Mumbai for competitions. People know our college well for arts and making movies, which is cool. Also, they organize a lot of fests, both for everyone in college and for different departments.

Admission: Using the admission portal saved a lot of time. Fee payment worked without issues, verification was quick, and registration steps were clearly defined.

Academic: Our college has a really good curriculum actually. It's not only about standard subjects like chemistry, maths, or physics. We also get to study interesting things like Green Buildings, which teaches how to make eco-friendly structures. Plus, there are Constitution and English subjects too. Exam frequency is quite nice also. We have CIEs every month, and then sem-end exams happen at the end.

Placement: When it comes to placements, BMSCE is really very good, it's like one of the top private colleges in Bangalore for getting a job. The average package here is around 10 lakhs per year, and the highest salary someone got was around 40 lakhs. Many big companies came for campus placements, like Uber, Amazon, Infosys, and Adobe. They made about 1000 job offers in total, and nearly 80% of students got placed, with some others choosing to go for higher studies. You can sit for campus placements from your 6th or 7th semester, that's what I know. Personally, I don't plan to study more after this degree, so if I don't get a campus job, I will definitely try to find one outside.

Campus: BMSCE campus is always buzzing with activity; campus life here is really good. You can find some kind of fest or event happening almost every day, which keeps the place very lively. We also have a lot of clubs for everything, like an astronomy club, a maths club, dance, fashion, and even F1 racing car making. Two big fests, Phase Shift and Utsav, happen each year. During these fests, the campus looks beautiful with all the lights, and there are many stalls for food, books, and clothes. Plus, they even have DJ nights during the fests. The college infrastructure is also pretty good, offering everything you need to do well in both sports and your studies.

Admission: Finding my name on the merit list was followed by a smooth process. Counselling, verification, and registration were all managed efficiently without unnecessary delays.

Academic: From my experience, we get to pick a lot of electives based on what we like here, which is really good because a big chunk of our syllabus is actually set by the college itself. My friends in other colleges tell me they don't have this freedom; they often get fewer choices and sometimes have to pick subjects they don't even want. Also, about the exams, every semester has CIE1, CIE2, CIE3, and then the final SEE. The best part is, they only count the top two scores from the three CIEs. These scores are then added to your SEE score to calculate the final SGPA. This system really gives us an extra chance to do well, unlike how it is in many other colleges.

Placement: Talking about 2024 placements, the rate was around 66%. This percentage might seem a bit low, but a lot of students actually go for higher studies or start their own ventures, so that's why. The salary packages were decent though. The average package was 12 LPA, with a median of 8 LPA. And guess what, the highest package someone got was roughly 45 LPA!

Campus: Our college campus is very lively with many clubs always ready to welcome new joiners who fit their vibe. You can easily connect with seniors and juniors here, and everyone seems friendly; plus, it's a big relief that there are no ragging cases observed so far. Every day, you get updates about new events and club activities happening. Also, when you participate in events, you get certificates which are helpful for claiming attendance. The most celebrated fests in this college are 'Phase Shift' and 'UTSAV'.

Admission: From application to confirmation, everything felt transparent. Cutoff updates, counselling rounds, and seat allotment were clearly communicated, and registration finished smoothly.

Academic: I like about my Computer Science course is that the syllabus is super relevant for our field. We have three internal exams in total, one at the end of every month. The difficulty level of these exams is usually moderate, sometimes they can be a bit hard.

Placement: More than 95% of students here get placed in good companies every year. You become eligible for these placements from the very start of your 5th semester. Over 400 companies visit our campus annually for hiring students.

Campus: At our college, there's always something happening. Almost every day, you can find academic, sports, or cultural events going on. This is because we have more than 70 student-run clubs. We also have really cool fests throughout the year. Like, the technical fest, Phaseshift, happens in December. Then there's Utsav, our big cultural fest, in May. Our hostel fest, Farouche, is usually in April. And honestly, there are even more fests that I don't even know about yet.

Admission: Applying to BMSCE turned out to be a positive experience. Counselling cleared all questions, verification was smooth, staff were supportive throughout registration, and orientation day felt welcoming and well planned.

Academic: I like about our college is how updated the syllabus is every single year. They always include new courses too, making sure we learn about the latest trends in all our fields. Also, we have exams monthly which really help with our CGPA.

Placement: Our college has really good placements, way better than most other colleges in Bangalore city. Many companies come to hire students every year. Roughly 50 to 80 percent of students get placed in the placement sessions. The average salary package is 8 LPA, and someone even got a highest package of 24 LPA.

Campus: Campus life here is great because we have so many clubs and everyone gets involved. Every semester, the college organizes lots of events. They also offer sports and other extracurricular activities right on the campus grounds. We also have a library which is really helpful.

Admission: Receiving timely messages about the merit list and counselling really reduced anxiety. Seat allocation felt transparent, document checks were swift, and the overall process felt professional and organised.

Placement: The highest salary recorded for Chemical Engineering was really good, hitting 43.5 Lakhs per year. On average, students get around Rs. 9.48 lakhs annually because over 200 companies visit our campus every year. So, the Chemical Engineering Department definitely has a very strong placement record.

Campus: In our college, campus life is super lively, which really helps you grow personally and professionally. You get so many chances here to improve in your field. The best part is our annual fest, 'UTSAV', which everyone looks forward to every year as students and participants come from all over the world to celebrate and have fun like anything.
