CU Jammu Reviews & Ratings 2026 – Authentic Student Feedback

Admission: The teachers here are pretty good. They work hard and have a lot of experience. They're helpful and always there for us. We have two small tests and one big test each semester. You need at least 50% to pass, but you should aim for a 7.5 SGPA for a good record.

Placement: There are only two batches of Bachelor of Technology so far since it started last year. As a result, there aren't any placement records yet. However, we do have ISRO and DRDO departments on campus which provide opportunities for placements with good packages.

Campus: The classrooms are clean and look new. They have smart boards. Each department has Wi-Fi, and the hostel has Wi-Fi too. In the mess hall, there's a smart TV. The food is okay, and the library is decent. There are clubs for different sports and activities.

Admission: The professors here are awesome and really helpful. They teach well and the course content is great. It might not prepare you for a job right away, but it's perfect if you want to do research or go for a Ph.D. or teaching career.

Placement: In my course, there's not much focus on improving skills and there aren't many job opportunities available. But if you pass exams like UGC NET, you can go for a Ph.D. for research. The good part is you can get around 35k - 37k per month as a stipend.

Campus: Even though some parts of the college are being worked on, the areas that are finished are great and have lots of space. The department has really nice labs and libraries with good Wi-Fi. The food in the hostels is tasty too.

Admission: The teachers at our college are really nice and know their stuff. They all have Ph.Ds and are super helpful. The teaching is great, but the course material is a bit outdated. It doesn't really prepare us for working in the industry. Exams are okay, not too hard, but they grade pretty tough. You need at least 35% to pass.

Placement: The college doesn't help students with placements or internships. Students struggle to find opportunities after graduating.

Campus: Our college has modern facilities like Wi-Fi, science labs, smartboard classrooms, and a library. Girls have hostel options, but boys don't. Unfortunately, there's no canteen on campus. We do have a small medical room, though. Sports aren't a big deal here.

Admission: The faculty here is so supportive and helpful. They're really knowledgeable in their subjects and always explain things well. The department has a great vibe, full of positive energy. It feels safe and secure here.

Placement: Every year, lots of students from our college land great jobs in top companies with good pay and positions. I'm studying biotechnology, so after graduation, I can become a research scientist, quality control expert, or a scientific officer. It's exciting to think about my future career options!

Campus: The hostel here is awesome! The food is good and doesn't cost much. They consider different students' needs. Wi-Fi is free and the security is great. They even give salads and sweets. And there's always someone around to help with any issues. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers finished teaching everything on time. They really knew their stuff. Each course lasted three years with six semesters. Exams were okay, happening every semester - internal, external, and final exams.

Placement: I didn't find many job opportunities after college. You needed at least 45% in your 12th grade to get in. Each class had around 200 students. Sadly, there weren't any internships. Once you graduate, you can pursue a post-graduation or any other path, but the college only offers bachelor's degrees.

Campus: I really liked the infrastructure at our college. It's in a peaceful area about 2 kilometers from Ramban district. Teachers had Wi-Fi access, but students didn't. The labs were great for medical students studying physics, chemistry, and biology.

Admission: The teachers here are really nice and helpful. The course can be tough, and sometimes it's hard to understand why some students don't pass. It's not the most practical for getting a job right after graduation. But overall, the teachers are great  they know their stuff. There are a few subjects where we could use more teachers, though.

Placement: I found that after graduating from this college, there weren't any job placements available. However, during the 5th semester, there were internship opportunities. It's a bit disappointing that the college doesn't provide any job offers after graduation, so you'll need to search for a job on your own.

Campus: The Wi-Fi at college doesn't work well. The labs and library are good though. Unfortunately, there's no hostel on campus. Medical facilities and sports aren't available either. The canteen doesn't serve good food either.

Admission: The college has great facilities for students. The exams and programs are really good. We follow a semester system with two internal projects and one assigned project each semester. Besides that, we also have to do presentations on different topics. The faculty in the computer science department are friendly and supportive.

Placement: I really love this college! It's great for B.Sc. Computer Science Honours. A lot of seniors from our branch go to IITs and NITs. Some even pass the UGC NET exam and become teachers. Plus, some students do internships abroad. I heard one senior got an internship in the UAE. It's awesome to see so many opportunities here.

Campus: Our college in Bilaspur is awesome! They have everything we need for online classes like free Wi-Fi, computer labs, and smart boards. The library is great too, with tons of books and magazines to read. It's a top government college for sure.

Admission: The Economics Department faculty is great! They're really understanding and supportive. They help us solve any problems we have. We have mid-semester exams first, then final exams. Each student gets a topic to present through a PPT, which helps us get over stage fright. The exam content can vary depending on the teacher, but overall, it's a good system.

Placement: I can't speak about placements in my department since we are the first batch. But I know other departments get good placements for deserving students. There's a special career placement department where teachers help students find jobs.

Campus: The university is still growing, so there's room for improvement in Wi-Fi and infrastructure. But the labs, classrooms, and libraries are all good. I live in the hostel and the food in the mess is top-notch. I haven't seen better food in any other hostel. They even have medical facilities every Saturday, including a psychologist.

Admission: Studying for the final semester exams involves a lot of tests and internals. The teachers here are strict but also really helpful. You can't skip any classes, but that's alright because the teachers take the time to explain all our practical projects and clear up any confusion we have.

Placement: Placement support starts from day one. By the time we're seniors, we're fully focused on getting hired. The trainers break down everything clearly and are super patient. On average, companies offer salaries between 4.2 to 4.8 lakhs per year.

Campus: The campus is always clean and has everything we need. Besides classes, there are tons of activities to improve our skills. The food they serve is healthy and tasty for all meals.

Admission: The teachers at college really know their stuff and are great at teaching our course. The curriculum at CU Jammu is spot on and gets us ready for the industry. The semester exams here are not too hard to get through.

Placement: In my final year at CU Jammu, I found good placement opportunities for MBA students. About 45% of us got placed. The average pay was around 36 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, and IBM came for recruitment. They offered roles like HR, marketing head, and business associate.

Campus: CU Jammu has great facilities for the MBA program. The Wi-Fi works well everywhere on campus. There are labs, a library, and even hostel options. The food in the cafeteria is pretty good too. Overall, it's a nice place for studying.
