Admission: Studying at this college is great for math lovers like me. The professors here are super smart and really know their stuff. The courses are right on point for math students like me. Most students here are into research, but those doing data science are all set for their field too. It's a top-notch place for math studies in India, no doubt.
Placement: Most students from our college go for master's degrees. It's a research institute, so many bachelor's students choose to study more instead of working right away. But don't worry, bachelor's students also get good job offers. On average, they get around 15-16 LPA, and some even get more than 25 LPA. Companies like Adobe and top financial firms hire a lot of students, especially those studying computer science and data science. So if you're into those fields, you'll find some great job opportunities here!
Campus: The campus has everything you need, like a library that's open 24/7 and a computer lab with fast Wi-Fi. All the usual college facilities are here too. The food might not be as good as up North, but the mess still serves up decent meals for students and faculty. It's all good!

Admission: The teachers here are top-notch they really know their stuff. Some of them have even won big awards like the Bhavnagar award. They're always ready to help if you're stuck. The course is all about research and theory, so it can be tough. But it really pushes you to think critically, which is super important for any job out there.
Placement: The entrance exam at CMI happens in July, and around 10,000 students take it. It's pretty tough, but only about 100 students get in. Out of those, 23 go for BSc maths and CS, while 2 choose BSc maths and physics. CMI is all about research, with lots of students aiming for a PhD. But there are also job opportunities companies like Credit-Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and more hire students for 16 LPA. I haven't looked for a job yet, but I did get an internship at Sahaj Software for Rs. 25,000 per month. Many students go for research internships at top Indian colleges like IITs and ISIs, or abroad through the CNRS programme to places like University of Paris, with full funding and stipend.
Campus: CMI has a library, computer lab, hostel, Wi-Fi, and air-conditioned classrooms. The Wi-Fi is slow and doesn't reach all areas of the hostel. The mess food isn't great, especially the South Indian food. Lots of students order food from outside instead. There are fields for volleyball, basketball, and football.

Admission: I had to take a bunch of classes for my degree - some were required and some I got to choose. The professors here are really good at teaching math. They know their stuff and are always willing to help out. It's a great place to study if you're into math.
Placement: At Chennai Mathematical Institute, the vibe is all about research. Lots of students aim for advanced Math degrees like Ph.D. and M.Sc. But hey, there's also chances for campus jobs. Big companies in IT and finance come to hire with nice pay, like around 14-16 lakhs per year. Many students prefer doing internships at IITs and NITs though. They even get paid for it! And don't forget, CMI offers exchange programs too.
Campus: CMI has a great library that's open all the time. The computer labs are well-kept and have Wi-Fi. The classrooms have AC, which is nice. They also have sports fields for volleyball, basketball, and football. The hostel has basic furniture, Wi-Fi, and they serve South-Indian food in the mess. It's a good place to stay and study.
