DTU Cutoff 2026: JAC
JAC Delhi conducts DTU admissions through JEE Main rank only. There is no separate DTU entrance test. Seats split into two pools: Delhi Region (home state) and Outside Delhi Region (all India). Each pool has its own DTU cutoff JEE Main rank, and both run category-wise: General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, plus PwD and girl-specific ranks.
Round 4 numbers show the usual pattern. CSE leads, followed by CSE (Data Science & Analytics) and IT. Outside Delhi ranks are always tighter than Delhi region ranks, since fewer seats (15%) go to a much bigger applicant pool. For example, DTU CSE cutoff for General closed at 14,806 in Delhi region but only 7,060 Outside Delhi, nearly half.

DTU Cutoff 2025: JAC
Last year’s DTU counselling process was conducted in five regular rounds, with Round 5 announced on July 15, 2025, marking the final regular round before the CSAB Special Rounds. DTU CSE cutoff for General closed at 11,352 in the Delhi region and 6,200 Outside Delhi in Round 5, 2025. That is tighter than this year's Round 4 (14,806 Delhi / 7,060 Outside Delhi), but 2026 still has a spot round left, so the final 2026 number will likely drop further once more rounds are added.

Factors Affecting DTU Cutoff
Number of applicants that year. More candidates in JAC Delhi counselling pushes the cutoff rank down (tighter).
JEE Main difficulty and normalisation. A tougher paper spreads out ranks differently, which shifts closing ranks even if the same number of students apply.
Seat matrix changes. New branches, added seats, or a change in Delhi vs Outside Delhi split move the cutoff for every branch.
Round number. Cutoff ranks always ease from Round 1 to the last round. Seats vacated by withdrawals and upgradation open up, so later rounds accept lower-scoring candidates.
Category and quota. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, EWS) and PwD have separate, more relaxed cutoffs than General. Girl-only seats also carry their own closing rank.
Branch popularity. CSE, IT, and Data Science branches draw the most applicants, so they always close first and at the tightest rank.
DTU Cutoff FAQs
Can I get DTU at 97 percentile?
A 97 percentile in JEE Main usually places a candidate somewhere in the 50,000–70,000 rank range, depending on the year. At that rank, General category candidates can look at Mechanical, Civil, Production, or Environmental Engineering, mainly in the Outside Delhi region, where cutoffs run lower than Delhi region for the same branch. CSE, IT, and ECE stay out of reach at this percentile for General category.
What is the DTU cutoff JEE Mains for CSE?
For 2026 (Round 4), General category closed at 14,806 in Delhi region and 7,060 Outside Delhi. For 2025 (final Round 5), it closed at 11,352 Delhi region and 6,200 Outside Delhi. The exact number shifts every round and every year.
When does the DTU cutoff spot round come out?
The spot round is the last step, released after all regular JAC Delhi rounds close. It fills any seats left vacant from no-shows or withdrawals. For 2026, this comes after Round 4.
Is DTU Outside Delhi cutoff always lower than Delhi region?
Yes. Outside Delhi region gets only 15% of seats, competing against a much larger pool of candidates from across India. This makes the closing rank lower (tighter) than the Delhi region quota for the same branch and category, in almost every case.
Does DTU cutoff drop between Round 1 and the final round?
Yes, usually. Cutoff ranks ease with each round as seats open up from withdrawals and upgradation. A candidate who misses Round 1 for a branch may still get in by Round 4 or 5.
Which category has the most relaxed DTU cutoff?
ST category shows the most relaxed (highest) closing ranks across branches, followed by SC. General and EWS candidates need the strongest ranks, since General has no reservation and EWS reservation is smaller than OBC, SC, or ST.
