Admission: Admission into DU's Department of Commerce felt like a long wait, as the merit list release was slightly delayed, but online registration and document verification were well managed, staff at North Campus were helpful during physical verification, and the orientation session made the onboarding process easy.

Academic: Our college has a good curriculum, mixing general MBA subjects with international business topics every semester. The teachers here are quite experienced and they really know their subjects well. We follow a semester system, so there are four semesters over two years. You might notice some teachers have certain expectations from students. Passing exams isn't too tough; almost all students manage to clear them easily. We have enough faculty members, and the college is also bringing in new teachers.

Placement: Talking about placements, I'd say they are pretty good at our college. Companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and Airtel Payment banks often come for hiring, mainly from the BFSI sector. Also, other big names like EY, Hero, and Volvo visit the campus. Placements usually start in the third semester, and most students actually get placed during this time itself. The college claims 100% placements, which is great. The average package is around 14.5 lakhs, and last year, the highest was 20 lakhs. However, for the 2024 batch, things are a bit challenging because the job market isn't very good right now.

Campus: Our college campus is actually quite small, and it's located right inside the Delhi School of Economics. What's good is that the Commerce Department has its own separate building. Honestly, social life mostly happens within classes here. But, we do have some cool committees, cells, and clubs which really help students get to know each other. These groups, like Constrat for consulting, Infinity the Analytics Club, the Alumni committee, and Marcom for marketing, organize their own events throughout the year, including case competitions. Our big annual fest is called 'Synergy' and it usually happens around March.

Academic: Our college has really good teachers and a great course structure. Most of the faculty members have PhD degrees and they are very knowledgeable. Unlike other colleges that have three semesters a year, we actually have a total of four semesters in our curriculum. Exams happen exactly on time as planned. The department also has full control over how the results come out and how they want to conduct the exams.

Placement: In our college, placements are mainly split into two types: summer internships and final placements. Most of the summer internships are with startups, which is good because we get to learn a lot more from them. So, most students get internship offers without any trouble. When it comes to final placements, we see some really good companies coming to our campus. This year, big names like Citibank, Eway, ICICI, and Newgen, plus many other leading companies, came to recruit. But yeah, the process was a bit slow this year because of the economic crisis. Usually, every year, our placement records are quite decent.

Campus: From my experience here, the social life at our college is really great. We have so many events going on, like alamdinar, sports activities, and even symposia. Plus, we get to go on cool industrial visits, like to Navashiva, and even fun trips to hill stations. Seniors get a nice farewell, and new students are welcomed with fresher parties. Our student body is pretty active; they handle all the committees and student programs. They get about INR 25,000 to 28,000 for all this. What's cool is, any money that's not used up by the end of the year is given back to the students.

Academic: Our teachers here are really helpful and super friendly. They always want to support students who ask for help. Many of them are very qualified too, like some even did their MBA from big names like IIM and IIFT. The course work is not very hard, so you wont feel too much pressure. Even the exams are quite easy to clear, you can pass without much trouble. Ultimately, how well you do here and shape your career is totally up to you.

Placement: Placements here are quite good, with the highest package reaching around 18 lpa and the average being 9.5 lpa. Students can start applying for placements from their third semester. Big companies like Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, and Relaxo recruit from our campus. Currently, half of our batch has already been placed, and the college expects the remaining half to get placed within the next three months as many opportunities are still lined up. As for me, I plan to start my own business and become an entrepreneur after completing my degree.

Campus: Life at DOC is pretty much student-run, which is great. We have two big annual events, Rethink in October and Erudition in December. Even during the COVID times, our college managed to hold a Tedx event. There are many clubs too, like the finance club, International Business club, and a sports club. Plus, the Ratan Tata Library on campus is full of all kinds of books, giving us students a real boost.

Admission: Confidence followed CSAS based application to Delhi University, as merit list confirmation brought relief, verification and fee payment were efficient, staff resolved doubts, and the process stayed clear.

Academic: Our college course has a really good mix of subjects and all the topics. The teachers here are super knowledgeable and they try their best to make classes fun and easy to learn. I just think it would be even better if they made research work and company internships compulsory for all students.

Placement: Talking about placements, if you want to get into academics, like pursuing M.Phil or PhD and becoming a professor, there are really good opportunities here. For company jobs, big names like Deloitte US, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, and Decathlon come to our campus. The number of such corporate opportunities is less compared to MBA graduates, but it is increasing and getting better every year.

Academic: In our commerce department, if you want to learn about running a business on an international scale, this special course is really good. Our teachers are super qualified; some even came from IIM C and have over 30 years of teaching experience. Each teacher has their own unique style, and they make sure we learn things we can actually use in the real world. Also, the college always sticks to its schedule, so exams happen exactly when they should, which helps us prepare well.

Placement: College has really good placements, and the return on investment is easily among the best in the country. Students can start applying for campus placements once they enter their second year. Many big companies like EY, ICICI, CITI, HDFC, Bajaj, Infosys, and TASL come to our campus to hire students for different types of jobs. Almost everyone gets placed with good packages. For the domestic region, the highest salary offered is around 18 LPA, and the average is about 9.5 LPA. My plan after getting my degree is to join the company I get placed in and kickstart my corporate career.

Campus: I like about our college are the cool events and good facilities. Our main annual fest, Synergy, happens in February. Then there are other events like Erudition and Symposia, which are business conclaves organized by different college committees. Actually, we have lots of cells and committees, and they all handle their own activities at various times. The Ratan Tata library is also super useful; you can find any book there to study, and students can use it whenever they want. Our classrooms are also well-equipped with all the basic things students need. Plus, there's a sports cell that takes care of all sports activities, whether they're in college or if we go to other colleges to compete.

Academic: Our faculty here is really engaging and they make sure to pay attention to every student. The way they teach makes it super easy for students who are not from commerce to feel comfortable, just like the commerce students. Plus, there are lots of job opportunities as companies hire for many different roles. I picked this course mainly because of its IB specialisation, which is great.

Placement: At our institute, placements are quite impressive. Big companies like Amazon, KPMG, Ola, and Kora, plus many more, come to recruit students. They offer a lot of different job profiles. For example, you can get roles in sales and marketing, product and operations, finance, international business, analytics, strategy, and even general management. Talking about salaries, the highest anyone got was 18 Lakhs per year. The average salary was 10.57 Lakhs, and the median one was 9.50 Lakhs per year.

Campus: Campus life is full of different clubs and committees, all run by students. Like, we have the Raven Brain club which handles all our study material needs. For jobs and internships, the CRT cell is there to bring good companies. We also have special clubs for specific fields, such as Contrast for consulting and strategy, and separate ones for marketing, finance, and IB. To make sure everyone behaves well, there's a Discipline Committee, and they even have a penalty system for rule-breakers. Plus, there are other committees like the Personal Relations Comm, the Alumni Comm, Team Convention which plans events, ISSAC for all cultural activities, and a sports club for playing against other colleges. It's really cool that students manage all these different groups.

Academic: This MBA course is quite different because our specialization in international business starts right from the first year itself. We get to learn about the global market really early on. There are 70 students in my batch. Our teachers are all very qualified; each subject has its own expert who has taught for many years. Because they teach everything so well and finish the syllabus on time, exams are not very difficult to clear. We always get plenty of time to revise everything before the papers.

Placement: College has really good placements. You get back more than what you put in, money-wise. From the second year itself, students can sit for campus placements. Almost every company that comes here takes at least one student from our batch. Usually, about 95% of students get placed every year. The highest package someone got was around 17 LPA, with the average being 10 LPA and the median 9.5 LPA. My plan after graduation is to join the company I get placed in and move ahead in life.

Campus: Our college campus life is really good, you know. We can stay here till late evening and the Ratan Tata library is open until 8 PM, which is super helpful. That library has tons of books in every edition imaginable, so you can always get what you need easily. The classrooms are also in good shape and make it easy to study. For sports, we have a Sports cell that takes care of everything, and there are many other cells and committees too. They handle all sorts of college activities, from small guest lectures to organizing big business conclaves.

Admission: Outcome of admission at the Department of Commerce, DU stayed positive, since CSAS enabled easy registration, merit list updates were prompt, verification was thorough yet efficient, and joining felt smooth.

Academic: This college has the best facilities for this course, so I decided to join it.

Placement: Lots of big companies come to our college for placements. This makes the placements here really good. The highest package offered to a student was 10,000 US dollars.

Campus: The college library is very big, you can find almost every book there. Also, our college organises many fests, like tech and annual fests.

Academic: In our college, the student to teacher ratio isn't that good. So if you need some help with your project or paper, you really have to chase after the professors a lot. Honestly, I feel the teachers here aren't as good as in other IIMs. They are qualified, no doubt, but they seem pretty lazy and don't put much effort, kinda like a government job attitude. Because of this, the exposure we get isn't great. To fix this, you should do a lot of case studies, quizzes, and other extra-curricular stuff. Also, a big bummer is that our campus doesn't have a sports ground inside, so people who love sports will be quite disappointed.

Placement: You know, for getting good placements, it's super important to keep your percentage above 60 in all semesters. Some companies only let you sit for their interviews if you have at least 60%. About placements, students can actually get final placement offers right from their first year if they get a PPO during their internship or a live project. Otherwise, you can start sitting for placements from the third semester. We've had companies like TATA, Infosys, Citibank, and Relaxo visit our college for recruitment. They are our past recruiters and generally offer a decent salary package of around 8-9 LPA.

Campus: Life at University of Delhi is super cool. There are so many things to do here, like playing sports outside the college or chilling at the cafes nearby. We also have many clubs and committees run by students. If you want to join any of them, you need to clear a presentation and an interview round first.

Admission: Experience of admission into DU's Department of Commerce felt systematic, with smooth online registration, timely merit list declaration, organised verification, and manageable communication across admission rounds.

Academic: Our MBA course is pretty broad and covers a lot of things. You learn about HR, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, and international trade too. It's a general MBA but they give special focus to International Business, which is cool. The student to teacher ratio is 10:1, which is good. All the teachers are really experienced and have PhDs in their subjects. They teach us using both traditional methods and case studies. Our professors are quite open to letting students join their projects and will guide you if you're keen to learn and put in the effort. We have a semester system for exams, and they're usually medium difficulty. If you attend classes regularly, passing is easy. You can even pass without attending, but if you want to score above 75%, you'll need to study hard. It's kind of like the exam pattern in DU.

Placement: Our college has good placement opportunities. From the very first semester, students can apply for summer placements. For the main final placements, students become eligible when they reach the 3rd semester. Many big companies like TAS, Relaxo, Odessa, ICICI, and HDFC come here to recruit, along with several others. The average salary package offered is around 9 LPA, and the highest package someone got was 18 LPA.

Campus: Our college always has a lot of events going on, organized by different student groups. We have big ones like Symposia, TEDx talks, alumni dinner, and freshers and farewell parties. There are also batch trips and sports events. And about the Ratan Tata library, it is really good. It has many books on different subjects like humanities, economics, MBA courses, and also a lot of business journals.
