Dr Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies (VSICS)

Admission: The best thing about Dr. VSICS is the awesome teachers. They're super helpful and know their stuff. Classes are good value for money. The course is okay, but it won't make you ready for work if you don't put in the effort. Exams are pretty easy if you study. We have 2 CBTs and an ACT before each semester exam, which is just like the real deal.

Placement: The placements at our college are pretty good. I don't know the exact percentage of students getting placed, but if you work hard and love your studies, you can easily land a job on campus. The highest salary is about 12 LPA, while most people get around 3-4 LPA. The lowest offer is around 2-3 LPA. They usually hire for roles like Managers and Software Developers. Accenture is a top company that came to campus twice in 6 months from what I noticed.

Campus: The Wi-Fi on campus doesn't work. The labs are cool and have good computers. The classrooms are always clean and have big windows for fresh air. The toilets are clean too. The library is big and comfy for studying. We can borrow 3 books at a time with our library cards. The canteen is okay, with regular chairs and tables. There's no hostel at our college.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff. They explain things in a way that makes sense. The stuff we learn in class is actually useful for getting a job later on. Exams aren't too hard, and a decent amount of students pass. They give good guidance too.

Placement: Almost all students in my course got jobs after college. The top salary offered was 14 lakhs per annum. The main companies that hire us are Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Deloitte. Almost everyone in my course got internships at these companies. Job roles include full stack developer, web developer, and data analyst.

Campus: The college has good facilities. The classrooms and library are well-organized and have good ventilation. They also host games events. The food at the canteen is good, and they give out medals and certificates to students.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff. They help us all the way through the course and show us how to impress the companies that come to hire us. Each course has its own set of teachers, so they really know their stuff.

Placement: I graduated from this college in 2022 and got a job at Wipro through campus placement. The faculty really helped and guided me. The placement opportunities are pretty good here. Companies like Tata Consultancy, Wipro, Capgemini, British Telecom, Byjus, and more come for recruitment.

Campus: The college here is pretty cool. It's got 3 campuses in Kanpur with awesome facilities like indoor games, a library, and computer labs. Everything is laid out nicely on the campus. They even have a canteen where we can hang out during breaks.

Placement: Around 75% of students in my course end up getting selected for jobs. The highest salary package for us is usually between 7 to 8 lakhs per year. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and more come to hire students from our course. The popular job roles we get are data analyst and data scientist.

Campus: The facilities and teachers are awesome here. The labs are always in good shape, and the staff is super helpful. They organize cool events that push us to come up with new ideas and aim high in the college rankings.

Admission: The college has a pass rate of around 38%, which is pretty average. The teachers are really good, but the higher-ups like the principal aren't that great. Exams are not too hard, just moderately difficult. I don't think this college is for everyone, especially if you're from far away from Kanpur or Unnao.

Placement: The placement opportunities at our college are a bit limited because companies don't come here often. But they do offer placements in management roles for our BCA course. The internships they provide aren't the best, though. Since we're studying technical subjects, the internships and jobs they offer are mostly in management, not technical roles.

Campus: In our college, we play games like kabaddi, cricket, and badminton. The canteen is clean and serves yummy, healthy food. Everyone, including the staff and students, is friendly. No ragging happens here. The labs and classrooms are spacious but could use better air conditioning. The library has lots of books and is a nice place to study.

Admission: The teachers are helpful, but sometimes they show favoritism. They need to be fairer with everyone. The quality of teaching could be better, but it's okay. This course really prepares us for the industry. The exams here are structured well, much better than at other schools. Each semester, there are around 25 faculty members to help us out.

Placement: The BBA department has about 240 seats, but this year, the placements and internships weren't great. Only around 20% of students got placed, and the packages were really low. It's disappointing.

Campus: The facilities in our course are pretty good. We have labs, classrooms, libraries, and good Wi-Fi. The food in the canteen is tasty. Unfortunately, there's no hostel. The sports, games, and medical stuff are just okay.

Admission: The teachers are really good here. I like that they give out notes for every class. They finish teaching on time and also give out separate notes for each subject. It makes studying a lot easier.

Placement: The placement scene is decent not amazing, but okay. The top salary for BBA grads is about 3 LPA. Unfortunately, the college doesn't offer internships.

Campus: The campus is pretty small. It's not like what you see in movies about college. The facilities are okay just basic stuff like lights, fans, tables, and chairs. They have a canteen, but all they have are chips and samosas.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff and have lots of experience. The BCA course curriculum is top-notch and prepares us well for the industry. We have exams every month to keep us on our toes.

Placement: The college has great placement records for BCA students, with around 100% of students getting placed. Over the past 5 years, this college has consistently had high placement rates compared to others. Big companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and HCL Technologies hire students from here. BCA graduates usually get offered packages ranging from 4 to 6 LPA, which is pretty good.

Campus: The Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are all nice and have AC. But the library isn't as good as they say. The canteen is okay, but the food is just average for the prices. There's no hostel here for students from out of town.

I don't stay in the hostel, but the canteen food is good and clean. They also have sports and games activities in the college.
