Admission: The faculty at FTII is top-notch, no doubt about it! They're the best when it comes to teaching. The labs are great too, and I love how we get to work with students from different departments. It's especially awesome for theatre and director courses.

Placement: The college isn't private yet, so it's good for getting placements quickly. FTII is a top institution, but things have changed recently. There are new teachers and too many students, so the quality has gone down a bit.

Campus: The campus looks great, but it's a bit noisy since it's in the middle of the city. They took some land recently, so now it's smaller than before.

Post Graduate Diploma in Editing

Admission: In the first semester, all departments come together to study cinema basics. Then in the second semester, we focus on editing. We learn about film practices worldwide, film history, editing techniques, and sound. By the third semester, we start working on group projects with workshops. The faculty are experienced from top film schools in India. They're strong in theory, but workshops are more helpful for hands-on learning.

Placement: There aren't any official placements at this college. But because of the institute's good reputation and the quality of students, they usually get jobs and projects after graduating. If you look at the history of Indian cinema, you'll see what past students from this department have achieved.

Campus: This college is top-notch and run by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Only a few students get in each year. They have all the latest software and equipment that's constantly updated. There's a whole building just for editing. Each student gets their own workspace and a MAC computer. It's pretty cool!
