For Management aspirants, the scholarships are determined by GAT and UGAT scores for BBA and MBA students, respectively. Here are the details:

GITAM Engineering Course Scholarships

For Engineering students, scholarships are decided based on GAT Rank, JEE-MAINS Percentile 2021, and AP & TS EAMCET Ranks 2021. Let's have a look at the breakdown:

GITAM Additional Scholarships

GITAM also offers additional scholarships for alumni returning for higher studies, children of alumni, siblings studying at the same time, and children of retired GITAM employees. Under these categories, students can receive an additional 10% scholarship. However, it's important to note that only one of these additional scholarships can be applied at any given time. The scholarships are not applicable to students who secure 100% and 75% merit scholarships. Also, these are not applicable to the MBBS program.

  • Merit Scholarships: Based on entrance exam scores (GAT, GBAT, JEE Main, EAPCET, CUET, SAT, CAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT) with slabs of 100%, 75%, 60%, 40%, 25%, 15% tuition waiver.

  • Need-Based Scholarships: Extra support for those already receiving a merit scholarship (15-75%), with family income limits (Tier A ≥ INR 2 L/year program; Tier B < INR 2 L/year).

  • Hostel Scholarships: Merit scholars may also get hostel fee help (non-AC + food) proportionate to their tuition slab.

  • Employee Children Scholarships: Children of full-time GITAM employees (>1 year service) can get up to 60% tuition waiver (if not already on top merit slabs), with combined caps.

  • Loyalty Scholarships: 10% tuition waiver for alumni / children of alumni / siblings / spouses of employees / children of retired employees.

  • Sports Scholarships: For students with recent state / national / international athletics record, covering tuition (% slabs) and hostel fee (50% or 100%).

  • Combined Scholarship Cap: Max total scholarship across categories is 75%, unless it’s a 100% merit or full sports scholarship.

  • Transfers within Liberal Education: Students transferring between BBA, B.Com, B.Sc retain or may have downgraded scholarship slab depending on CGPA.

  • Program-specific UG/PG Entrance Test Categories: Each program (Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, etc.) has its own eligibility criteria for different % scholarship slabs based on rank/score in relevant entrance test(s).

For all the scholarships, the university scholarship regulations apply. In case of any discrepancy in the interpretation of the Scholarship rules, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor is final and binding.
