Academic: What I like about GMC is how good the teachers are. All the faculty members are super experienced and they teach us so well. They even conduct all the clinical learning classes themselves. The course syllabus at our college is very up-to-date and helps us get ready for real jobs. One thing though, the semester exams are quite hard to pass here.

Placement: At GMC Nagpur, MBBS students get proper placement chances. The best part is 100% of us get internships and that too with a good stipend. You get top-notch clinical knowledge here. After completing the course, many students actually go for PG courses.

Campus: At GMC Nagpur, the infrastructure for MBBS is top-notch, good. We get the best clinical facilities there for practice, which is very helpful for us students. All other needed things like labs, the library, canteen, and mess are also available for us. The hostel facilities here are also quite good, you know.

Admission: Admission steps at GMC stayed clear throughout. Counselling was well managed, verification staff helped patiently, registration was easy after the merit list, and orientation covered all essentials.

Academic: The teachers in our college are just the best. They are great and help us out with everything we need. For our course, there are 4 semesters in total, and you need to get at least 50% to pass.

Placement: From what I've seen, our college is good with placements. They always make sure 100% of the students get placed, so everyone finds a job. A lot of students also decide to study further, like doing their MS or MD degrees. The salary that's usually offered is like one lakh rupees per month. But yeah, how well you finally get placed mostly depends on how much effort each student puts in.

Campus: It's a government medical college, so the facilities here are pretty basic. Like, we get classrooms and all that, but you shouldn't expect anything fancy from the college.

Admission: Selection journey after NEET felt long but manageable. Counselling took time, verification staff stayed patient, registration and fee payment were straightforward, and communication from allotment to orientation stayed clear.

Academic: From my experience, passing an MBBS here at GMC Nagpur is much easier than getting admission into a government medical college. The degree itself is very valuable. Most of the university and internal exams are kept easy to moderate, which means around 95% of us pass out without much trouble. Our teachers are helpful whenever you need them, even though they might not be super interactive in classes. For MBBS, it boils down to how much you self-study.

Placement: Doing MBBS, no matter if it is from a private or government college, always gives you good money and respect. For example, at GMC Nagpur, about 80-90% of students who finish their degree get a salary of around 10-12 lakh per year. They mostly get roles like MOships and HOships. You can also work as a medical officer in any private medical college after graduating.

Campus: In our college, you get lots of facilities like an e-library, a gym, and many sports courts for basketball, badminton, swimming, table tennis, and lawn tennis. There's also a big playground and many more things. Both the college building and the hostels have their own canteens. The college canteen is pretty good; it has many food options on the menu, and everything is cost-friendly and hygienic. But the food in the hostel mess is not very good. I suggest everyone takes tiffin services instead, they are much better than the hostel food.

Academic: My experience here, all teachers in every department are very qualified. They are experts in their subjects and give us a great platform to learn. The course curriculum is set for four and a half years, which gives students enough time to complete everything. This program helps us become good doctors for the future.

Placement: There are 200 students in my MBBS batch, and I joined in 2016. I'll be finishing my degree in 2022. For higher education, like MD or MS in our field, most of us plan to do that after MBBS. A lot of students join private coaching just to crack the entrance exams for PG. During the internship, we get a stipend of roughly 11k, paid by Andhra Pradesh.

Campus: Our college has a good setup with different buildings. The main campus building is where most of the first and second year departments are. Then, for final year departments, they are in the hospital building itself. We also have a separate library building right next to the college. For living, there are 7 hostels in total, plus a specific MARD hostel for both UG and PG students. All these facilities are enough for what we need.

Admission: Experience at Government Medical College felt orderly. Merit list and counselling schedules were shared clearly, verification was thorough with guidance, and registration with orientation felt organised.

Academic: Here, our teachers are helpful. They are always ready to pick up your calls if you need their guidance. They also make sure we get good practical and clinical experience, which is very important. For teaching, they use lots of cool digital ways like PPTs, video lectures, and even video case studies. We also learn from audio clips, especially for listening to body sounds. Plus, there is always good interaction between teachers and students, and we have many seminars.

Placement: From my experience here, almost all students, like 100%, get placed, which is good. All my seniors are also doing great and settled in their chosen fields. Since healthcare is a super important field for society, there are always opportunities. Students usually get roles like HO, MO, or PG, depending on seats. The salary packages are decent, but honestly, for the amount of work we have to do, it doesn't always feel like enough.

Campus: The college infrastructure is quite good. We have Wi-Fi in hostels and even in the hospital, which is very helpful for us. The labs are also managed properly by all the departments. Plus, medical facilities are there for everyone all the time. So, yeah, no issues with the college infrastructure from my side, it's good overall.

Academic: Honestly, the teaching quality here gets a 6 out of 10 from me. It feels like they focus too much on just theory, and sometimes our teachers seem to take things for granted. Also, many students dont take clinics seriously, which means not enough effort goes into making us good doctors. But, it's not all bad, and these problems are kinda normal in most colleges. Our college has still produced many great people for society. If someone wants to make a difference, they usually get good support here and can definitely succeed.

Placement: In our college, placements can be good, but you need to study hard on your own to get them. The patient exposure here is also pretty good, which is helpful. However, the internships are not worth it at all. We don't get much respect, and clinics often take interns for granted, maybe because of the poor conditions. And for all this, the stipend is just 5,000 rupees a month.

Campus: The hostels here are in a bad state, students are forced to live in tough conditions. Our college library also needs a lot of work because there are not enough benches or books for everyone. Talking about the overall infrastructure, it's quite poor. The college has very old buildings, you can see it in the fans, lights, chairs, and even the labs are outdated. Plus, none of our lecture halls have air-conditioners.

Academic: From my experience, the teachers here are great. They explain topics super well so we all understand. We do a lot of practical stuff, and our teachers guide us properly for those. Also, they encourage us to study on our own, which is very helpful. Talking about passing, you need 50% marks in total. This 50% applies to both the practical and written university exams.

Placement: Most students here get pretty good work opportunities after MBBS. We earn a decent stipend right after college; it's about 30,000 rupees. If you do the rural bond service, which is compulsory for MH colleges, you get around 85,000 rupees. Some of us go for post-graduation courses, while others complete this bond first. After MBBS, it's a good way to start earning quickly. You can also think about opening your own clinic, applying for UPSC CMS, or getting into PG courses if you pass the next entrance exam.

Campus: Our college, GMC Nagpur, has a huge campus, like the second biggest for medical in all of Asia, spread over 625 acres. It has all the facilities you need. They have separate hostels for students from every year. Each hostel comes with two messes and a gym, which is good. We also hear new equipment is getting added this year. The hospital building and the MBBS study building are different places. There's also this amazing oval garden here. All the departments are big and have lots of experienced staff. We never struggle to find good equipment for our studies.

Admission: Flow from counselling to joining felt systematic. Online registration was simple, queues during verification needed patience, staff assistance helped, and final registration moved quickly.

Academic: The teachers here are quite good, I must say. They are super helpful and qualified, with lots of experience in what they teach. Most of them have M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, and some even have like 16 to 22 years of experience, plus they know a lot about clinical stuff. What's also nice is that sometimes our nursing teachers take classes, and other times, lecturers from the MBBS department come to teach us.

Placement: Students from our College of Nursing get good placements. A big plus is that because it's a government college, we get a 50% reservation when it comes to getting placed, which is super helpful. The college also offers internships right here, inside the campus. To finally get a job after graduation, we just need to pass exams like the state-level DMER or the all-India NORCET.

Campus: From my experience, the campus here is amazing. It is like Asia's biggest medical campus, super big, green, and just beautiful. But some things, like the nutrition lab, our library, and even the classrooms, they are just kind of average, nothing special. You have to stay in the hostel here, it is compulsory. And good thing is, they have meals right inside the hostel too. The hostel buildings themselves are pretty good, fitting right into our lush campus.

Admission: System at the college worked well. Online portal was easy, merit list publication stayed timely, verification counters moved efficiently, and registration followed a clear flow.

Academic: What I like about this college is how our teachers explain things. They use projectors, boards, and sometimes even real specimens to teach us stuff. Most of them are helpful and know a lot. You'll see how good their teaching is in the final year, especially during clinical postings for inwards and OPD.

Placement: Students from our college do well in tough exams. Like, many clear NEET PG, AIIMS PG, JIPMER, and even IAS. They usually get good ranks, and some even reach the top 100. After you finish your MBS degree here, you can easily become a medical officer in any government or private hospital.

Campus: The college building here is a little old, but it still looks good from outside. Our labs and technologies are fully updated with all the new advancements. For patients, the hospital offers most tests and facilities at a very low cost, which is great. The operation theatres are actually better than what you find in other places. We also have a well-kept swimming pool, a gym, and courts for badminton and table tennis. Plus, there is a sports ground for football and cricket. Our hostels are old but they are getting renovated now and becoming much better and hygienic. We also have an E-library available for students.

Academic: The course curriculum here is good, they always update it when needed. And because there are so many patients, it helps us learn a lot in real life. Our teachers are quite experienced in their subjects. Though some older professors are not that friendly, they still teach with so much passion. The teacher-student ratio is good, but I feel it can be improved a bit.

Placement: What's good about studying in a government college like ours is the huge patient load. It helps a lot for our learning and skill building. Since it's a medical college, there are no placements, you know. Our batchmates are also very smart and good. So, making good connections with them now helps after we finish college.

Campus: Our college has a good location, which is a big plus point. For infrastructure, all the needed stuff is there. The library and labs, for example, have all the required resources for our studies. But since it's a government college, the maintenance is not so good. About the hostel, it's pretty much like any other government college hostel. The main issue we face is with the mess food, it's very challenging to eat sometimes.
