Admission: Enrollment into Goenka College progressed smoothly with prompt online merit list release, quick verification, helpful registration counters, and well managed queues that made joining easy.

Academic: From my experience, the teachers here are super qualified and they really know their stuff. Plus, they are always ready to help. The teaching quality is just amazing, and the course syllabus is totally relevant to what we need. Talking about exams, semester exams are not that tough if you put in some effort. Most people pass, like around 80 to 85% of students usually clear them, so failures are not many.

Placement: About placements here, the college doesn't really tell us much. Truth be told, not many students actually get placed through the college. The average salary package you can expect is around 5 LPA. For our course, some good companies like EY and PWD do come for hiring, but still, many students just choose to do internships instead.

Campus: From my experience, the campus here is not that great, and classrooms are just okay. The library is good, but it sometimes misses some important books. For food, there's no proper mess or canteen inside. But, a Nescafe stall is there where you can grab snacks and other stuff. Also, outside college, many shops and small stalls are there for your tiffin or lunch.

Admission: Journey into Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration felt clear, as merit list confirmation led to organised verification, supportive helpdesk staff, and a smooth flow from application to final enrolment.

Academic: Talking about the teachers, they are really helpful and super knowledgeable. Most of them have more than 25 years of experience, so you can always go to them for any kind of help you need. However, exams at Calcutta University are quite tough, you know. So, if you want to get good scores, you really have to study hard. The pass mark is 24 out of 100.

Placement: Placements for my batch, 2020-2023, were kinda low because of the COVID-19 situation. I'm not really sure how many students exactly got placed, don't have the percentage. I remember one company, Future Firsts, came to hire us. We had to apply first, then take an aptitude test for them. For the salary packages, like the highest, lowest, or even the average, I didn't have any specific details. Most of the internships we saw were for sales and digital marketing roles.

Campus: Talking about the infrastructure for our course, it was good enough. We had all the important stuff like Wi-Fi, proper labs, and even AC rooms. The classrooms were set up really well. Also, the library was good, so getting books was never a problem. The only thing is there was no mess, canteen, or hostel inside the campus. But no worries, plenty of food and drink shops were right outside.

Admission: Joining Goenka College appeared organised after merit list confirmation, with simple online registration, efficient verification and fee payment, and timely updates for counselling and orientation.

Academic: The teachers at our college are seriously the best you'll find in the whole state. They are super qualified and always ready to help students, no matter if you are from Bengal or not. They can teach in both Bengali and English, and some even speak Hindi well, which is great. The course for junior accountant is designed really well, giving deep knowledge about the industry. But there's a bit of a challenge with exams. Teachers told us usually around 20% of students get supplementary papers every year. This year, it might even cross 50% because of the tough maths and economics subjects in the course.

Placement: GCCBA is seriously one of the top colleges in Kolkata, you know. They have students from BCom and also from professional courses like CA, CS, CMA, Actuary and all. So, talking about placements, I'm just a first-year student, but our seniors and teachers say that almost 80% of students get placed every year. The median package usually comes around 3-4 LPA, which is nice. Last year, the highest package was 5 LPA. For internships, 30 students from our college got selected by the Big 4 companies last year, and they got a stipend of 8k per month. Big 4 companies and other good mid-size firms are the main companies that come to recruit here. Mostly, they offer roles like accountant and stuff.

Campus: What makes our college stand out is that it's the only government commerce specialized college in the whole of Kolkata. We have really big classrooms, which are super spacious and airy. They come with blackboards and projectors, but remember, there's no air conditioning in them. For students, there's a huge common room, and two other rooms dedicated to games like table tennis and carrom. Also, our library is well-stocked with almost 5000 books for all the different subjects.

Admission: Selection at Goenka College progressed smoothly since the merit list display was clear, staff assisted well during verification, counselling resolved registration doubts, and the overall path to orientation stayed streamlined.

Academic: I like most about Goenka College is definitely our teachers. All our professors are super qualified and have a lot of experience, plus they are very easy to talk to. They explain all the concepts in a very simple way so everyone understands. They even help us with guidance for professional courses like CA, CS, and MBA. Their teaching method is simple but really effective, and they make sure to clear all our doubts.

Placement: Big companies like Deloitte and EY do visit our college for campus placements. But honestly, the percentage of students who actually get placed is not that much, it's quite low. Overall, placements are just decent, not super high in numbers. So, many students here choose to go for higher studies or professional courses instead of taking a job directly from campus.

Campus: At Goenka College, if your main focus is to get a strong commerce degree and good education for not much money, then it's a great option. However, don't come here expecting super modern facilities or great placements. The infrastructure here is just average. Our classrooms and library are good, but the college building itself is old. Plus, there is no proper hostel or Wi-Fi, and the canteen food options are quite limited. So, if you're looking for top-notch facilities or strong placement support, you might feel a little disappointed. But for the fees, it offers really good value, especially for academics.

Admission: Onboarding at Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration stayed smooth because registration and verification steps were clearly explained, counselling staff guided patiently, and orientation provided a useful overview.

Academic: What I liked most is that our teachers know their stuff really well, and you can tell by how they teach. They are all highly qualified and manage the classes nicely. The studies we do here are very useful and have real-life applications, which is great. Plus, there's a good chance to go for higher studies later on. The pass results are also quite good, with around 60-75% of students clearing all their papers without any problems.

Placement: When it comes to placements, our college didn't have very good opportunities. We didn't even have any campus placements. Most of the jobs that were offered were for call centers, and the best roles you could get were sales or management executive positions. Only a very few students got jobs through the college.

Campus: Our college library is quite big, and it has a really good collection of books. We also got a new canteen recently, and there are many food stalls right near the campus. For sports, you can play carrom and table tennis inside. However, our classrooms do not have Wi-Fi. We do have smart classrooms, but only a few of them. Also, the lab isn't very spacious, so not many students can use it at the same time.

Admission: Process at Goenka College stayed smooth as application steps were simple, merit list updates were punctual, verification was efficient, staff guidance was supportive, and orientation resolved most doubts.

Academic: If you are a local student from West Bengal, you will find the teaching quality here pretty good. However, students from other parts of India might face some problems. Most teachers, even for simple things, often explain in Bengali. Even when students ask, many still talk in Bengali, so sometimes you can miss out on important information. On the bright side, our course curriculum follows Calcutta University guidelines, which is helpful for learning key commerce skills. Speaking of Calcutta University, everyone knows they are quite strict with paper checking. The exams themselves are not too hard, but the checking is definitely not lenient.

Placement: Our placement committee was not really active or keen on helping us get jobs. Because of this, only about 5 percent of our batch got placed. The companies that came were mostly like Wipro, who just hire a lot of people and dont have a good work vibe.

Campus: What I like is that the classrooms here are quite big and spacious, which is nice. And they have a game room too, with table tennis, carrom, and some other indoor sports, which is good. The auditorium is also really good, it's big and has AC for comfort. Only thing is, the college itself is just one building, so there isnt any proper ground or anything like that for infrastructure.

Admission: Experience at Goenka College remained hassle free due to an easy online registration portal, quick verification after the merit list, helpful staff support, and clear communication about the orientation schedule.

Academic: I like about our college is how good and experienced our teachers are. They are always there to help us with anything. Because they teach so well, most students pass their exams without much trouble. Also, they happily share different books with us when we need them. The curriculum we follow here is also quite good.

Placement: At Goenka College, many students find really good jobs after they finish their course. A lot of students even got placed in Infosys company. After completing their studies here, many of them also went abroad. For internships, around 80% of us get them in top companies during our 4th semester, which is very helpful for our future.

Campus: From my experience here, the college infrastructure is really good and kept very clean. All the classrooms are well-maintained too. They also have a common room where students can enjoy lots of indoor games. Only thing is, currently there are no hostel facilities, and we don't have a canteen available either.

Admission: Procedure at Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration remained stress free due to simple online registration, on time merit list declaration, fast verification, and clear guidance through counselling rounds.

Academic: Our college has really good and qualified teachers. They teach in a way that is super easy to understand. For every subject, they make sure to give us all the notes. Because of how well they prepare us, semester exams are just normal, with no big pressure. In the end, more than 80% of students pass their exams easily.

Placement: In my course, 65% of students got placed, which is pretty good. The salary packages offered ranged from 4 lacs as the lowest to 12 lacs as the highest per year, with the average being 6 lacs. Lots of accounting and marketing companies come here to hire students. Also, 65% of students managed to get internships with these same accounting and marketing firms. Some of the top job roles that were offered were things like CA auditor and income tax officer.

Campus: In our college, each batch has 6 sections, with two sections for the morning batch and four for the day batch. We also get free Wi-Fi on campus, and there are separate libraries and computer labs for students. Our college is in a really peaceful area. While our college itself doesn't have its own hostels, the university does provide them.

Admission: Transition at Goenka College remained straightforward thanks to an easy registration portal, expected merit list timeline, efficient verification, supportive staff, and an orientation that clarified the process.

Academic: I really like about our college is how good the teachers are. They are super helpful and give personal attention to everyone. Their way of teaching is awesome, and they make sure you become industry-ready for jobs. Since they are highly qualified, if you just study a bit, passing the semester exams is not at all difficult.

Placement: For B.Com students, this college is a really good pick if you want placements right after your degree. The placements here are seriously good, with offers coming from top companies. Our teachers are super helpful too; they personally assist students in getting these jobs. They even make sure to prepare us for interviews beforehand, and this really boosts our confidence a lot.

Campus: What I like about our college is the good infrastructure. We have smart classrooms, which is cool. The library is quite big, and they make sure to have all the new textbooks. Also, they keep the place very clean and hygienic. For studying peacefully, there's even a separate reading room available.

Admission: Cut off pressure at Goenka College created a challenging environment, especially for general category candidates needing above ninety five percent, while reserved categories required lower scores in a strictly merit based system.

Academic: Okay, about the teachers, they are not too bad and they do cover the entire syllabus for our courses. But honestly, there is no creative way of teaching here. You will see smart boards and speakers in all classrooms, but they never really use them. Every teacher has their own method, but it mostly feels old-school. Students here are super strong in studies, but that's not because the teachers are amazing. It's mostly because the cutoffs for admission are really high, and everyone studies a lot by themselves, plus many do other professional courses like CA, CS, CMA, or CFA. It's kinda funny because many classes get cancelled at the last minute, but if you don't come to class, your name ends up on the attendance defaulters list. For admission, general category students need to score above 95% to even be considered, while SC, ST, and OBC students can get in with 85%.

Placement: When it comes to jobs, my sister passed out last year from this college, and her batch only had one company coming for hiring, which picked no one. That's how things were here. But this year, they have started placements for the 6th semester. And we hear big companies like Big 4, Deloitte, KPMG, and PWC are coming to hire students.

Campus: Our campus has two buildings, each with five floors. For getting around, there are two lifts one for us students and one for teachers. Honestly, those lifts are a real blessing in college life! The infrastructure here is quite good, with classrooms that are well-kept and surprisingly cooler than the outside weather, even though there are no ACs. The only downside is that the campus feels small, especially since it is located in a very busy area called Bowbazaar. But yeah, the classrooms themselves are pretty good.
