Admission: Based on my experience, admission at GEC was clear and transparent. Merit list checking was easy, counselling followed, document verification was slightly slow but well-supported by staff, and registration with fee payment was clearly explained.

Academic: The curriculum here is pretty good. I had a lot of fun with all the fests, freshers parties, and sports days. Getting to be on the CSE cricket team was a big chance for me, even though I did end up leaving it. The faculty are a mixed bag; some teachers help you out, but a few others are quite arrogant, which is a real disadvantage.

Placement: In my experience, if someone joins this college for high placements, they're probably making a mistake. Not many companies actually come here for hiring. Most of them are mass recruiters, and they offer almost the same salary package to every student. The average salary package we see is usually between 3 LPA to 4 LPA.

Campus: We still don't have a hostel. The infrastructure of the college is also not good, to be honest. And for sports, there are no facilities at all for students. So, if anyone told you that placements are great, they actually told you wrong. But one good thing is that the curriculum sports are good here.

Admission: During my application to GEC, the process felt smooth overall. Online application and document verification were clearly managed, counselling sessions ran efficiently, staff supported registration well, and the orientation clarified final joining steps.

Academic: Our college has a important course on CNC machines, which is great for us mechanical students. CNC machines are super important for mechanical now, and thankfully, they are available in our college. If you keep more than 75% attendance for this course, they give you a certificate too. The exams are a bit tough, but if you study well, getting good marks is not a problem.

Placement: Talking about placements in our college, the average package here is 10 Lacs. Even for students in our mechanical engineering department, only about 20-30% get placed. The lowest package offered usually comes around 4 Lacs. Most of the top roles we get are generally for employee positions, and sometimes HR positions also come up.

Campus: The facilities at our college are pretty great, you know, the infrastructure is top-notch. We've got a big auditorium that seats a thousand people easily. For sports lovers, there are different courts available for games like cricket, football, and even badminton. Plus, we also have Wi-Fi available all over the campus.

Admission: Overall, admission to GEC felt structured and manageable. Online registration was simple, document verification went smoothly, merit list and counselling updates were regular, and staff guided all final registration steps properly.

Academic: Our teachers here are quite smart and know a lot about their subjects. They are very helpful also and you can always find them if you need any help. A good thing is that the college has a very big ground for sports. But one thing is, most of our teachers are on a contract basis, not many are permanent staff.

Placement: Placements at our college are slowly getting better year by year. From what the officials told us, in 2021, around 10 to 20 students found jobs. The college is putting in effort to bring in more companies for placements. For students in the CSE branch, the job opportunities are much better. We are all hoping that next year's placement record will be even stronger.

Campus: Our college has good infrastructure, way better than other government colleges around. You'll find well-equipped labs here, and the library is just superb, honestly. Classrooms are nice too, with all modern facilities inside for us. The only downside is about hostels. For boys, there are no hostel facilities right now because IIT Bhilai is occupying them. Girls do have a hostel, but it's very limited, only 15-20 seats are available.

Admission: Looking back, getting into GEC felt organised. The registration portal worked smoothly, counselling schedules were clear, verification took time but was well-managed, and consistent communication reduced stress.

Academic: Honestly, the teaching quality here isn't that great. We don't even have enough regular teachers, and some teachers are helpful but others are not. Classes usually don't happen very seriously. The course is not updated with new things, but it does give us a good understanding of our main subjects.

Placement: In my experience, over 60% of students who are in the MPC group get selected for this course. I don't have any idea about the salary or what companies come for our course specifically. Right now, the college only offers roles for Bachelor of Engineering. Our college placements actually started way back in 2018.

Campus: My college infrastructure is actually pretty good for an average place. Things like Wi-Fi, the library, and classrooms are just okay, nothing too special. From 2018, our library facilities became digital which is a plus. The classrooms do have AC but they aren't maintained very often. On the other hand, the sports facilities are not appropriate for our college.

Admission: While applying for GEC, the experience stayed positive. The online form was easy, the merit list followed the schedule, counselling and verification went fine despite queues, staff helped during registration, and orientation was well-organized.

Academic: Being a mechanical engineering student here, I found the course curriculum helpful. It teaches you so much about practical life stuff. Because of this course, I can now understand things in a much more logical way. Our teachers are also super qualified and very nice in nature.

Placement: In my experience here, it's pretty hard for students in our course to get placed, even though the college does hold placement drives. The best salary package someone got was 10 LPA. Also, the internship chances are quite low. Most companies that visit our campus for recruitment are only from our state, we don't see companies from outside.

Campus: The facilities here are great, and the food they serve is also super good. Our library is awesome, you can find so many books there, and it's very useful for studies. Plus, they arrange all the sports and games nicely. On sports day, there are always lots of events happening.

Admission: To sum up my experience, the admission process for Government Engineering College was clear. Merit list and counselling updates were timely, document verification took some time but staff were helpful, and completing registration never felt complicated.

Academic: In our college, most teachers are freshers, like, they just finished their M.Tech. So, don't think you'll get amazing teaching quality. But a few teachers are actually quite enthusiastic, which is nice. The course syllabus is standard, you know, good enough for national level. And talking about exams, they are pretty easy, no need to stress much to pass them.

Placement: Right now, our college doesn't have campus placements. They might bring them in later years, but for now, that's not an option. So, students here will need to aim for competitive exams like GATE. My advice is to start getting ready for these exams from your third year. You definitely get a good amount of time to prepare well.

Campus: Our college campus isn't very big, that's the first thing to know. Though, the classrooms here have good facilities, which is a plus. On the flip side, the labs are still being developed, so they're not fully ready to use yet. A big reason for all this is that IIM, Raipur and IIT, Bhilai are temporarily running from our GEC building. Because of this, the college hostels are occupied by IIT students. So, basically, us GEC students have to stay outside in PGs.

Admission: From my point of view, the GEC admission process was organised. Online registration ran smoothly, merit list publication was prompt, verification waiting times were long but staff guided well, and orientation was informative.

Academic: In our CSE department, honestly, we don't have too many good teachers. It feels like you have to learn most things on your own here. If you compare with other branches, they have good and enough faculty members, but our department is different. Still, I must say, some teachers in CSE put in their full effort for us students. Also, the exams here are conducted very strictly.

Placement: When it comes to placements, honestly, our college doesn't have a strong system for it. Mostly, there are almost no placements directly from the campus itself. So, if you are looking for a job, you will definitely need to put in your own efforts. If you work hard and try sincerely, you can easily find off-campus placements for yourself.

Campus: The Wi-Fi and library facilities at our college are good, students can use them anytime they want. Our classrooms are also quite nice here. Right now, the only problem is that lab sessions aren't happening well because of COVID-19; they haven't even started yet. But before, they used to be conducted properly, and hopefully, they will start soon again.

Admission: Once my admission process started, the counselling rounds at GEC felt competitive but manageable. After the merit list, document verification was thorough with helpful staff, registration was smooth, and the orientation gave a good overview.

Academic: At our institute, you'll find some faculty members are quite experienced. But for the most part, the teachers are just okay. We typically have two class tests and two unit tests. Because it's a government college, you need to rely on yourself for studying.

Placement: About placements, they are pretty average here. The good thing is that many top companies visit our college for recruitment. The minimum salary package offered was 1 LPA. I recommend students to join this college.

Campus: The facilities in our college are good. I mean, the classrooms are comfortable because each one has 3 air-conditioners. The auditorium is like, the main thing everyone talks about here. And yes, we have a gym too.

Admission: After submitting my application, admission at GEC felt well-organized. Merit list checking was clear, online counselling went smoothly, document verification was efficiently handled by staff, and registration with orientation caused no issues.

Academic: Our teachers are pretty knowledgeable and well-qualified, you know. They get selected after clearing some exams, so they know their subjects. And they're always there to help us clear our doubts, which is nice. But, honestly, the course curriculum isn't super relevant for the industry. We gotta study much more outside of class to actually be ready for jobs. The semester exams are just okay, not too tough. And the pass percentage here is like any other college, nothing special.

Placement: When it comes to placements for our course, about 30% of the students get placed. Companies like TCS and Reliance Jio are some of the top recruiters that come here. The highest salary package offered is 8-9 LPA, the lowest is 2-3 LPA, and the average salary package is around 4 LPA. Also, about 35-40% of students manage to get internships with companies like Deep Vision System. Most of the time, students are offered software engineer roles after graduation.

Campus: At GEC Raipur, the classrooms, labs, and library are quite good. We have Wi-Fi available all over the campus, and it's a plus that all our classes are air-conditioned. The college canteen serves good quality food that tastes nice, and the prices for food items are not too high. However, hostels are not allotted to students yet.

Admission: Seeing my name on the merit list made the whole process feel straightforward. Counselling steps were clear, document verification took some time but staff guided us well, registration was efficient, and the brief orientation helped a lot with initial steps and communication.

Academic: At Government Engineering College Raipur, our teachers are good and have a lot of experience. I feel their knowledge is also strong, as they explain topics in a way that's easy to understand. However, the semester exams here are quite tough, and sometimes the questions on the question paper are not clear.

Placement: Okay, so about my college, the highest package at Government Engineering College Raipur went up to 10 LPA, and the average package is around 4 LPA. For placements, only about 30 percent of students actually get a job from campus. When it comes to internships at GEC Raipur, only a small number, like 2 to 3 percent of students, manage to get them.

Campus: My course, electrical and electronics engineering, is something I'm keen on. Government Engineering College Raipur has good infrastructure. The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere and a high-quality library. Also, the faculty at GEC Raipur are very experienced.
