Admission: Initially, getting into GECT felt straightforward. Merit list dates were clearly announced, online registration was hassle-free, and although document verification was crowded, staff support kept the process moving smoothly.

Academic: Our teachers are quite good and have a nice nature. They make us ready for jobs, which is great. The semester exams here are not very tough, mostly easy to moderate. Because of this, the passing percentage for students is high, around 98%. But, on average, teachers often come only once a week for a lecture.

Placement: From my course, most students get placed, which is great. Our teachers help us a lot to be ready for companies, and many students even land jobs in big Indian MNCs. About 30% of us also get internships during the course. For those who get placed, the average salary is around 9 lacs per month.

Campus: My college library is good, and it has a nice place to sit and study. The classrooms here are also well-furnished. Plus, the labs are very good, and the Wi-Fi connection is strong, though sometimes it does disconnect.

Admission: From the portal experience to campus verification, admission at GECT was efficient. Staff were cooperative during counselling, document checks were managed well, and completing final steps felt quick and simple.

Academic: My teachers are very helpful and smart. They know a lot and are always there to support us, clear our doubts, and even motivate us for our studies. The course syllabus is quite good, it totally fits what we need and makes us ready for jobs later. When it comes to semester exams, they are not too hard but not super easy either. If you understand the concepts well, you can definitely score good marks.

Placement: For the 2023 batch, our college had some good placements. Top companies like Oracle, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra, Bosch, and Reliance came to recruit students. Every student who got placed received at least a 5 LPA package. Overall, we got 106 offers, meaning almost everyone found a job, either in core companies or in the IT sector.

Campus: My hostel mess food is very good and clean, actually. Also, the electronics and electrical labs are well-equipped, and the lab assistants there are quite good. Talking about classes, they are decent, not bad, but I feel they are not very modern. For Wi-Fi, it's available in both college and hostel, but you can only use it on laptops.

Admission: After checking the merit list, admission in GECT felt straightforward. Counselling was well-organized, staff helped during document verification, registration was quick, and orientation gave a clear overview.

Academic: In my experience here, the teachers and tutors are super good. They help us out with everything, like our studies, money problems, and even when we need support for our teams. They teach us properly and are honest about their work. Talking about exams, the semester papers are usually easy to moderate. So, most of the time, an average number of students clear them, and the passing percentage stays pretty steady.

Placement: Our college is good, it's actually ranked 2nd in KIRF, so students come from all corners of India to study here. The teachers here teach us very well, giving us lots of knowledge and support for our studies. For the fourth year, it's all about internships, which is great practical experience. Because of all this, most of our students get placed easily with high salary packages.

Campus: At our institute, each department has its own separate building, which is very convenient. Our classrooms are also quite big, easily fitting more than 70 students. The teachers and faculty here are well-qualified and know a lot. Plus, every department gets its own labs, and these labs have enough materials and are spaced out well for everyone to learn. And yes, the college also gives Wi-Fi access to all students, which is super helpful.

Admission: From merit list declaration to final steps, GECT admission felt smooth. Counselling sessions were organized, document verification staff were helpful, and registration deadlines were clearly communicated.

Academic: The teachers at GEC Thrissur are very important for our studies. All departments have experienced professors who know a lot about different things. The syllabus here at GEC Thrissur is also up-to-date, made for what the engineering companies need these days. For exams, the college conducts two internal tests and one lab internal exam.

Placement: At GEC Thrissur, placements are super good. Many big companies like TCS and TISCO come to our campus to hire students. The average salary package here is around 48 LPA, which is very impressive. Our college also has a very strong alumni network that helps us a lot. Plus, they offer different internship programs, which are super important for us to build up useful skills.

Campus: What I like about GEC Thrissur is they have many different courses to choose from. For engineering students, there are lots of labs and workshops that are super helpful for practical learning. Also, the hostel facilities here are pretty decent.

Admission: Overall, joining Government Engineering College felt simple. Online application and merit list updates were timely, document verification went smoothly, and registration was efficient with good communication from the college.

Academic: Exams here are like, we have one big semester exam at the end of each semester. Also, there are two internal tests for our marks. And our teachers are experienced and help us a lot.

Placement: Placements here are good, especially for Mechanical Engineering. Companies like Mahindra, Reliance, MRF, and Larsen & Toubro come for hiring. Almost every student gets a job, either in their main core field or in the IT sector, and the minimum package is 5 LPA. Our college's placement cell is also quite active.

Campus: In my experience, the college canteen food is seriously good and cheap too. You get so many options, like breakfast in the morning and lunch choices in the afternoon, including both veg and non-veg. Plus, they have tea, coffee, and snacks, all cheaper than outside shops. For the hostel, the fee is 4,000 rupees, but the stay itself is just average.

Admission: When my application progressed further, the admission journey at GECT turned out smoother than expected. Every step from registration to document verification was organized, staff patiently cleared doubts during counselling, and joining instructions were communicated clearly.

Academic: In my college, teachers are quite helpful and they know their subjects well. About the teaching quality, it depends on the professor; some teachers explain things in a very interesting way. The course curriculum was very relevant and it helped train us for industry jobs. Semester exams were not too hard, they were just moderate.

Placement: For placements in our course, about 80% of students usually get placed. The highest salary package someone got was 32 LPA, which is pretty awesome. On average, students here get around 6-7 LPA. Big companies like Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Construction come to our campus for hiring. Plus, around 60% of students also manage to get internship offers.

Campus: The facilities and infrastructure for our course are honestly quite decent here. What I like is the historic feel of the campus and the hostels. Our labs are fully equipped with all the instruments and machinery for practicals, which is great. There's also a library and a sports ground available. Plus, the hostels provide all the essential facilities for students.

Admission: Entering Government Engineering College felt seamless overall. The online registration process was straightforward, document verification on campus went well, and staff guided us clearly through counselling and fee submission. Communication about key dates stayed consistent.

Academic: The teachers in our college are good and pleasant to talk to. Every department has its own teachers, which is nice. They are super helpful, especially with reminding us about KTU exam registrations on time. Also, they share a lot of useful info about internships and workshops in our WhatsApp groups. The exams are conducted very strictly and they make sure everyone follows rules.

Placement: Internships were mandatory for all students, so 100% of us completed them, leading to common jobs like marketing manager or HR. Coming to placements, about 60% of students, including me, got placed from our college. The average salary package was around 3 to 3.5 LPA. Top companies like Evess Recruitech, TCS, and 1M1B recruited from here.

Campus: What I like about our college are the facilities. We have good grounds here, actually three of them! One is for hockey, another is for basketball, and there's a big football ground. The campus is quite large, nearly 70 acres in total. Even our labs are good, with proper setup and all. The overall infrastructure is kinda like a government office, functional and spread out.

Admission: Overall, admission here went smoothly. Online application steps were simple, merit list and counselling details arrived on schedule, and document verification with supportive staff made registration easy. Orientation added clarity for new students.

Academic: My department has around 30 teachers, with an average age of 45. Many of them have solid industrial experience, and they are good at explaining subjects clearly to us. For our final year projects, they give us excellent guidance to help us complete them properly. The labs here are very well-equipped, and the staff in the labs are also very knowledgeable. Our course syllabus is quite industrial, meaning it matches what companies need, and there is a good chance to do research too. A big part of our course is a year-long project, which carries a lot of credit. Also, we get proper training for placements.

Placement: Our college focuses on placements, and it shows. Around 70% of students get placed every year. The management works hard to bring in more companies for us and also gives special pre-placement training so we are ready for interviews. For most companies, the selection process starts with an online test, then a group discussion, and finally, a personal interview round. Some top companies that recruit from here are MRF, BPCL, TCS, Infosys, Ulte, Hinduja Motors, and Federal Bank.

Campus: In my experience, the hostel facility here is quite good and affordable. It costs just 4000 rupees. Each room is shared by two people and comes with beds. Food is also included, and they have a decent menu. The washrooms are clean, and we get 24/7 water supply. Hostel allotment depends on how far your home is from the college. For my course, the structure was well-designed, focusing a lot on research. In the first year, we attended classes and studied various subjects. But the second year was mostly dedicated to labs and projects.

Admission: From form filling to orientation, GECT admission felt very organized. The merit list was released on time, counselling and document verification ran smoothly, and registration was efficient, making the overall process hassle-free.

Academic: My teachers are good, they are all well-trained and have lots of experience. They know their subjects very well and explain every point clearly. They always help us with our doubts and are very friendly. The course curriculum here is superb. Just a heads up, the semester exams are quite difficult, and you need to score 60% to pass.

Placement: Around 86% of students here get good placements. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, and Accenture often come to hire. Mostly, students get roles such as project manager and software developer. The salary packages offered are pretty good, with the highest going up to 25 LPA and the lowest being around 5 LPA.

Campus: Our campus has good hostel rooms. They come with attached bathrooms and you get 24-hour hot water, which is great. The mess food is good here, and if you want more options, there's also a canteen. For infrastructure, the college buildings are well-maintained. Classrooms and labs are nice, plus the whole campus has fast Wi-Fi internet. The library is also good for studying, and medical facilities are easily available whenever needed.

Admission: From the moment I logged into the portal, my admission at GECT felt streamlined. Online registration was easy, counselling after the merit list was well-organized, and document verification was quick. Staff explained fee payment clearly, and the orientation gave a helpful overview.

Academic: About our faculty, they are super qualified and have so much experience, many even come from top colleges like NIT and IIT. They are very supportive and friendly with students. Though, in the civil department, teachers are a bit strict but equally experienced. Plus, the college keeps updating our course syllabus to make sure we learn things that the industry actually wants.

Placement: At GECT, we have decent placements. For mechanical engineering students, they got more than 40 job offers from core companies. The average salary package is usually between 5 LPA to 12 LPA here. Our civil department saw the highest package, which was like 12 LPA to 25 LPA. Big companies like L&T and Shobha Builders come to hire us. Roughly 30% to 50% of students here get placement offers.

Campus: From what I've seen, our civil department is pretty good. The labs are well-equipped, and classrooms are big enough for about 70 to 80 students easily. We also get a separate library just for our department and Wi-Fi access. The whole campus itself is huge, like 75 acres. For facilities, we have a gym, digital classrooms, hostels, a canteen, and sports stuff available. But seriously, the hostel rooms and canteen facilities need a lot of improvement here.
