Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, established in 1956 by the late Hajee Mohamed Meeran Rowther, is a co-educational, autonomous institution located in Uthamapalayam, Theni district, Tamil Nadu. Affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), the college operates as a grant-in-aid and self-financing institution, accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade (3rd Cycle, 2022) and recognised under UGC 2(f) and 12. It offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across Arts, Science, Commerce, and other disciplines, with a focus on serving students from rural backgrounds. The institution has been awarded the Best College Award for Communal Harmony (2005).
