Admission: The professors at this college really know their stuff and they love what they do. They make class interesting and help us think deeper about things. You can easily talk to them and they're always ready to help, whether in their office or with extra materials. They make sure we get the help we need.
Placement: Lots of big companies come to our college for job interviews. They're all well-known like Maersk, Synergy, and more. They check us out and interview us to see if we're a good fit for their jobs. It's a great opportunity for us to get hired by top companies.
Campus: The college has awesome research resources like labs and money for projects. The academic vibe here is really motivating. If they amp up the tech stuff, it'll make learning even better.

Admission: The faculty-student ratio is great here. In theory classes, it's like 1 teacher for every 40 students, but in practical classes, it's 1 teacher for every 8 students. The faculty members are ex-seafarers, which is cool. They really know their stuff since they used to be chief engineers and master mariners. They help us out a lot and make sure we understand everything. The GME course is tough because we gotta learn a lot in just 1 year, but the faculty and facilities make it easier for us. The curriculum is set by DG Shipping and we cover it in 2 semesters with exams at the end of each. The exams are set by the college, but they're not too hard.
Placement: Placements start from the end of the first semester. Companies like Goodwood, Damico, Eastaway, Dynacom, Sanmar, and Bergebulk come to HIMT College for placements. I got placed at Synergy Marine Group. The first 6 months are for training, and we get Rs 50,000 per month as a stipend. After passing the 4th engineer competency, our salary goes up to 1.5 LPA to 2.5 LPA. When we become chief engineers, we can earn around 15 LPA. If we sail for over 6 months in a financial year, we get NRE status. About 85% of students get placed before graduation, and the rest within the next 6 months.
Campus: At HIMT, we have girls and boys studying together. It's a residential course, so we all stay in hostels on campus. There are 5 hostel blocks with 4 people in each room. It's cool to live with students from all over India and get to know different cultures. We have fun stuff like table tennis, carrom, and chess in the hostels. And there are playgrounds for outdoor games like football, cricket, volleyball, and basketball. Plus, there's a swimming pool! The hostel facilities are top-notch.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff and they've got a lot of experience. A bunch of them have actually worked at sea, so we can chat with them easily and get some cool tips about ship life. It's awesome to learn from people who've been there!
Placement: I'm so happy I chose this college! They hook us up with job opportunities from big companies like Maersk, BSM, and MSC. Most of my classmates already got jobs I'm one of them! The companies pay around 500-600 bucks a month on average. Plus, the college helps us prepare for exams and interviews. It's awesome!
Campus: The college has a cool ship on campus for training and a workshop with all kinds of equipment. The classrooms have AC, and there's a swimming pool and a library with all the latest books. They even have a VR lab for ship practice.

Admission: The teachers here are super knowledgeable and really supportive. They're all engineers who've worked or are still working in the field, so they give us real-life examples. We have two semesters for GME, each with 100 marks. Each semester has 50 multiple-choice questions and a written exam. Oh, and we also have class tests every month to keep us on our toes.
Placement: Around 30 of us from my batch got jobs in companies like Synergy, M.Sc. D'Amico, and Marshall. By the end of the course, half of us had job offers. As a TME student, we could earn anywhere from $350 to $750 or even more as a stipend, depending on the company.
Campus: The classrooms are awesome - they've got AC and smart boards. The labs are top-notch and you can try out different equipment. The VR lab is super cool. There's even a ship on campus that feels just like the real deal. Such a fun way to learn!

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful, and we're lucky to have such smart and experienced ones. They really know their stuff. The course is spot on and prepares us well for the real world. Everyone was ready for work when we finished. And hey, we all passed with flying colors! The exams were a breeze thanks to their great teaching.
Placement: Half our batch already got jobs, and the rest are still looking. Salaries range from $350 to $750 per month, with an average around $450. Companies like M.Sc, Marshal, Zodiac, Synergy, and Demico are hiring Trainee Marine Engineers. Once we finish, we'll start working on ships.
Campus: We have everything we need here - nice classrooms, a gym on campus, workshops, and a playground. Our hostel has round-the-clock water and power, a quiet vibe, and comfy rooms. It's all good here.

Admission: The HIMT teachers really know their stuff when it comes to sailing. They not only teach us the basics but also share their own sailing stories. They talk about handling emergencies, fixing problems, and staying tough on the ship. It's cool to learn from their real-life experiences!
Placement: So, in our batch of 30, about half got placed and the rest got shortlisted for future companies. The salary we get depends on which company hires us. Some of the companies that come for recruitment are Marshall Ship Management, Zodiac, M.Sc. Damico, Seven Islands, and Maersk Line.
Campus: The lab facilities at HIMT are top-notch, and the instructors are really knowledgeable. They've got cool labs like the Auxiliary Machinery Workshop, Seamanship Lab, and Engine Room Simulation. There's even a Ship on Campus! Plus, they've got a Basic Skilled Workshop and Engine Resources lab. And on top of that, they offer good medical facilities too.

Admission: The teachers are really great here. They put in a lot of effort to help us learn. They're always there to answer our questions and clear our doubts. The faculty works hard. But the wardens aren't that great. Overall, the teachers are awesome, but the wardens bring the rating down.
Placement: The placements here are awesome! Lots of companies come to hire students. Almost everyone gets placed. VIPs visit often. Big, famous companies come too. I'm happy with my placement.
Campus: The classrooms have good facilities with smart boards for teaching. The cabins allotted to students are nice and comfortable, with attached washrooms and bathrooms. Overall, the infrastructure is really good.

Admission: In my GME classes, we learn from Chief Engineers who have tons of experience in shipping. The HIMT curriculum gives us a good mix of theory and hands-on learning. It's always up-to-date with what's happening in the industry.
Placement: So, for our final year, everyone in my batch at HIMT got placed. Companies like Maersk, Marshall, Synergy, Zodiac, and D'Amico came for placements. I ended up getting a job at D'Amico after joining HIMT. The placement scene at HIMT is pretty good, but it also depends on how well you do and how prepared you are.
Campus: The classes at the academy have AC rooms, which is great for staying comfortable. HIMT has nice hostels with clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and security 24/7. The hostels are designed well for students, with a mess, common rooms, and fun areas. Some students think the hostels could use more space and better maintenance, but overall, they're okay.

Admission: The professors here are awesome! They really care about us and have lots of experience. They even go out of their way to help us with job placements by holding extra classes. The exams can be a bit tough, and they grade pretty strictly, so you gotta put in the work to score well.
Placement: The college really helps students get jobs after they graduate. Everyone in my class got a job, and some even got sponsored. Companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC, GOODWOOD, and MARSHALL hire students from here.
Campus: The college is in kalpakkam Tamilnadu, and the campus is super clean. They have cool labs for electrical, electronics, automation, and virtual reality. Plus, there's even a ship on campus for hands-on learning. The hostel is decent, but Chennai's weather is crazy hot and sticky, so sleeping can be tough. Overall, everything's pretty good and chill.

Admission: The teachers really care about us doing well. They get us ready for tough situations on ships. Tests are not too hard, thanks to their great teaching. It helps us do our best.
Placement: During our time, out of 35 students in our batch, 26 got jobs before finishing. The fee for the ETO course was about 3 lakh rupees for two years, but it might have gone up. They do give scholarships though. The college has great job opportunities with companies like MEARSK, MSC, Synergy, D-Manico, and more coming for placements. About 26% of us did internships with MSC, Marshall, and Maersk, while 68% got full-time jobs. They also reward toppers with scholarships for further studies.
Campus: The college here has awesome facilities. The classrooms are cool with AC, and the labs are top-notch for ship-like training. They even have a ship on campus for hands-on practice. Wi-Fi is limited to computer labs and classrooms, but it can be slow sometimes. The library is nice and cool, with lots of books for studying and life stuff. The hostel is decent, but no AC there.
