IIM Lucknow Reviews & Ratings 2026 – Authentic Student Feedback

Admission: Starting my admission steps for IIM Lucknow was easy as the WAT PI schedule was clearly shared and the final list was announced on time while the fee payment and document checks were simple to complete before orientation.

Academic: IIM Lucknow faculty are very qualified with 95 out of 97 having PhDs and two having masters awards and they teach using case studies presentations and audio visual methods while the PGP program has core and elective subjects for us to choose from.

Placement: Reports show IIM Lucknow gives excellent placements by fully handling campus recruitment and highest international packages reached 58.47 LPA and domestic ones touched 52 LPA and the average for the 2018 20 batch was around 23.94 LPA with roles mainly in strategy and consulting and offers even came from five different countries.

Campus: College life is lively with an annual fest in December and many clubs for music dance acting and business and sports like badminton cricket and football and there are 17 hostels including 5 for girls where everyone gets a separate room and the mess food is great and run by students themselves.

Admission: IIML admission for me involved a tough interview round but after the offer the online registration was simple and the fee and document submission details were shared clearly so even the orientation felt very organised.

Academic: Some courses fit well with the B school goals but a few subjects feel pointless right now and we hope they make sense during jobs and while some teachers are excellent others are boring so we often attend only for attendance.

Placement: Overall placements here are satisfactory and all students from my batch got summer internships with good companies and final placements for second year students were also smooth with many completing placements during lateral rounds and the rest getting placed in the final week.

Campus: Infrastructure in our college is quite good with playgrounds an auditorium faculty buildings hostels and a lot of greenery where you can often see peacocks other animals and many birds moving around freely.

Admission: Applying for IIML felt manageable as the CAT based shortlist was clearly shared and the personal interview was handled properly and after the offer came the document check and registration were easy with staff guiding every step till orientation.

Academic: In my college, teachers are very good and know their subjects well and the course syllabus is very relevant for future jobs and they even take us for industrial visits to prepare us for exams and the semester exams are not hard so around 95 percent students pass easily.

Placement: Records here show that placements are always 100 percent and salaries go up to 50 LPA with an average of 23 LPA and even the lowest at 16 LPA and big companies like Sunsilk Sun Pharma Axis Bank ICICI and TCS come regularly and internships are also 100 percent with names like Tata Steel HDFC Sun Pharma and Deloitte.

Campus: Infrastructure on campus is good with high speed WiFi clean labs comfortable classrooms and a library with lots of study material and hostel rooms large enough for each student and sports facilities also decent and the mess food average while canteen food can be expensive.

Admission: Once the shortlist came out at IIML the rounds for WAT and PI were conducted neatly and the merit list was released on time and the fee payment and verification at orientation did not cause any trouble.

Academic: The teaching quality at our college is really good as all teachers are well qualified and helpful and their teaching methods are unique while the course is very relevant for job requirements and industrial visits prepare us well and the semester exams are average difficulty with almost 98 percent of us passing.

Placement: Statistics from my experience show almost 95 percent of students got placed with salaries ranging from 15 LPA to 50 LPA and companies like Microsoft Flipkart Sun Pharma ICICI Securities and Axis Bank recruited from campus and internships were 100 percent with firms like TCS HDFC Amazon India and Deloitte.

Campus: Buildings labs classrooms and WiFi in our college were all very good and the library had plenty of books and hostel rooms were spacious with sports and medical facilities available and mess food was average so many students ate outside because the canteen was quite costly.

Admission: Post selection the steps at IIML felt light since online registration and document work were simple and the fee and orientation details were sent clearly so the whole onboarding felt smooth.

Academic: What I like about our college is how the exams are set up to make us think practically instead of just memorising technical things and since we have three terms per year many teachers have PhDs and some come from foreign universities though they usually teach only for a short time like three months.

Placement: Efforts by the placement cell at IIM help a lot and companies like Maruti Suzuki Airport Authority of India Unschool and Duraroof visit the campus and students usually get packages around 7 to 8 LPA with about 70 percent getting placed and I also hope to get a good job after completing my degree.

Campus: Accommodation here is divided into old dorms newer dorms and hostels for married students and everyone gets food from two mess halls where the taste is average and hostel stay is compulsory for PGP students.

Admission: Going through the IIM Lucknow process felt steady since the updates for WAT PI and later the offer letter came on time and the online registration and fee queries were handled neatly during document checking.

Academic: Most faculty here are highly qualified with engineering or science backgrounds and masters or PhDs along with 5 to 10 years of work experience and the two year course has three terms with 22 core subjects in first year and in second year we choose from many electives.

Placement: Even with the pandemic our college achieved 100 percent placements with the highest international salary at 56 LPA and domestic at 51 LPA and most students joined strategy and consulting and companies like African Industries Groups Landmark Group and ZYNGA were major recruiters.

Campus: IIM Lucknow provides many useful facilities like a post office a bank a departmental store and some retail shops and for sports we have squash basketball and tennis courts along with a gym a swimming pool and even a Jacuzzi and medical help is always available and the hostel is huge with AC rooms each having an attached bathroom and balcony.

Admission: Working through the steps at IIM Lucknow was less stressful than expected because all the communication from shortlisting to interviews came on time and the offer letter led to a clean verification and registration process with good support.

Academic: My experience with the faculty is very positive because they acted more like mentors and many work as consultants for big MNCs which gives useful real world insights and our study books were relevant and easy to understand.

Placement: Totals for placements included 450 students across PGP and PGP ABM and big consulting firms like Mckinsey Bain and BCG visited along with Accenture MasterCard Advisors ATKearney Alvarez and Marshal plus Amazon and Deloitte and the highest international package came from Tolaram group and Citi Markets offered the highest domestic package.

Campus: Academic block and library are very comfortable during summers since both are well equipped and open 24x7 and classrooms have WiFi and good seating and hostel rooms are spacious though without AC making summers and winters a bit harsh.

Admission: The online steps for IIML were simple since the portal was easy to use and the interview calls came on time and the document verification during registration happened smoothly making the whole process feel well arranged.

Academic: Course selection here is very flexible with many electives so we can choose what we want to master and the teachers guide us nicely even outside class time.

Placement: Students with work experience benefit a lot because lateral placements are very strong and many companies visit for roles in marketing finance and other domains matching the standards of top B schools.

Campus: Recreation facilities on campus are really good with sports options across the whole area and we even hosted the Inter IIM sports tournament and there is a recreation centre that helps students relax beyond academics.

Admission: My admission process at IIM Lucknow stayed clear right from the shortlisting updates to the interviews and once the merit list was declared the document work and registration were handled smoothly with proper guidance.

Academic: Every teacher here is extremely qualified with PhDs or FPMs and they also do research and consulting while teaching and the course structure is shared for PGP and PGP ABM in first year with general management subjects and second year offers electives along with field visits and rural research work which makes the curriculum very strong.

Placement: System for placements is the same for PGP and PGP ABM ensuring fairness and 100 percent placements happened in 2019 and 2020 for both summer and final rounds and companies like Accenture Amazon BCG Flipkart Goldman Sachs and Microsoft recruited along with new ones like IndiGo and ONGC and international roles came from EY and Standard Chartered with salaries reaching up to 58.47 LPA.

Campus: Study facilities include good internet in hostels academic blocks and library plus 24x7 computer labs and printers and a library full of books journals and a Bloomberg Terminal and AC classrooms with projectors and comfortable seating and mess food is the best part with five meals a day including late night snacks and more options at a canteen and two student run outlets and medical help with doctors and ambulance support and excellent sports facilities including squash billiards swimming gym football volleyball throwball badminton tennis basketball and table tennis.

Admission: Going through the steps for IIML turned out quite stress free since the WAT PI rounds were well arranged and the communication about shortlisting and offer letters was clear while the document verification and registration moved easily without any hurdles.

Academic: Talking about our college, the courses feel quite old and not very useful for todays jobs and some teachers do not teach properly which makes classes dull since most projects are now done using ChatGPT but a few teachers still work hard and teach nicely.

Placement: Figures for placements are still coming in but the highest salary till now is 1.5 crores and the lowest is 10.5 LPA with companies like TAS Meesho BCG McKinsey Kerney and Accenture hiring for roles in consulting product management sales marketing general management and operations and even though colleges report higher salary numbers the real average is usually lower.

Campus: Facilities here include many sports options like indoor games a football field a cricket ground a swimming pool and a gym and the library and computer centre are really good and the nature trails are nice to walk on and laundry machines are available but quite old and there are 18 hostels kept clean though washrooms in hostels 1 to 16 are very old while 17 and 18 are slightly better but overall all hostels are clean enough.
