Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and always there to guide us. They make sure we understand everything. The teaching is great, and the course prepares us well for the industry. The semester exams are not too hard, especially if you pay attention in class. The pass rate is around 50%, so it's achievable if you put in the effort.
Placement: I'm really happy with how well we're doing in our course. The industry is growing, so there's a high demand for us cadets. The top companies that hire us are Feet Management Limited and Pacific Basin. Most of us, around 80-90%, land internships at shipyards, ports, and logistics companies. After graduation, we can look forward to roles like marine engineer, electro-technical officer, and engine cadet.
Campus: The facilities in our department are top-notch. We've got reliable Wi-Fi in all classrooms and separate labs for each subject. The library is accessible, and the hostel is decent. The food is pretty good too. Plus, we have medical services on campus. There are a bunch of sports available like football, basketball, hockey, cricket, and volleyball. It's a great place for both studying and chilling out.

Admission: The teachers are super helpful and know a lot. They've worked in different roles like surveyors, chief engineers, and captains. The course is all about Marine and Mechanical Engineering, so the exams aren't too hard. It's easy to clear any backlogs. Most students pass with around 80-90% in the semester exams.
Placement: All students here get jobs after they finish. A lot of companies like Synergy, M.Sc., Chevron, WSM, and more come here to hire students. Around 60% of students also get internships from different companies and INS Shivaji. It's a great place to kickstart your career!
Campus: The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, and all the academic buildings have air conditioning. They have a big sports ground and lots of different sports to play like hockey, football, cricket, and more. Plus, there's even a kindergarten area! The hostel is really clean too.

Admission: The teachers here are really experienced. They used to do the same job we're studying for. They give us a lot of helpful info. Some of them even worked in the merchant navy before. The semester tests are tough since we have to study more subjects than usual engineering. Most students pass with around 80%.
Placement: To get hired from our college, you need to keep your scores above 70%. But even if you score lower, you can still land a job. The highest salary package is 7.5 LPA, while the lowest is 1.3 LPA. Companies like Pacific Basin, Feet Management, and MOL come for placements. Everyone without arrear papers can do internships here. And once you're hired, everyone starts in the same trainee position.
Campus: Our college has a lot of cool stuff to do. They have different levels for sports and games. We get lots of chances to play and even join a team that goes to other colleges. I haven't seen this kind of opportunity in any other college.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and really know their stuff. They give us all the support we need. There are offices where experienced folks share their stories with us, which is great for our growth. The Merchant Navy is a solid career choice, better than a regular job. This college sets us up well with good training, discipline, and other stuff we need. The semesters aren't too tough. If we put in the effort, we can do well. Some subjects are crucial for shipping, so we gotta focus on those. Most students pass with 7080%, and pretty much everyone graduates. I did really well here. The institute offers NDA training too, which can help us rise high in this field. Some subjects are hard, but with hard work, we can overcome them.
Placement: The job placements at this college are awesome! Every student from last year got a job, and they promise 100% placement. Lots of big companies like Chevron, NYK, and Shell hire students from here. The class of 2019 just graduated and already landed jobs with different shipping companies. It's a great place to kickstart your career in the shipping industry.
Campus: The college's infrastructure is top-notch. The hostels have everything you need - Wi-Fi, clean rooms with proper bathrooms, and they're always kept tidy. The classrooms are cool with AC, and they have comfy benches and tables. Plus, there's a projector for showing videos and notes. The mess serves up healthy meals, and there's a canteen open 24/7 with tasty food. If you're feeling under the weather, there's a medical officer at the dispenser. Sports lovers will be thrilled with the facilities - football, cricket, hockey, badminton, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and even an Olympic-size swimming pool for training. The library is massive with over 20,000 books, including maritime ones. It's open all day, every day for studying. Overall, it's a great place to be!

Admission: The teachers here are great - they know their stuff and are always ready to help out. Each teacher has their own unique way of teaching. I'm taking a course in marine or mechanical engineering, and it's spot on. This semester is tough, I won't lie. The pass rate is around 50%, so you gotta really study hard.
Placement: Almost all students get placed every year, around 90-95%. Companies offer salaries starting from 600 bucks to a whopping 25,000 dollars or even more. Big companies like CHEVRON, NYK, PACIFIC BASIN, WSM, and SYNERGY come for recruitment.
Campus: The classrooms have smart boards and projectors, which really help with learning. There are different labs with lots of stuff to use. The library is big and has lots of books. The food is good and they change the menu daily. They have medical help and all kinds of sports gear too.

Admission: The professors and staff at the college know their stuff and help us out a lot. They teach really well. The courses are spot on for what we need in the industry. It's tough to pass the exams, though, since you need at least 50% to make it. But overall, we feel prepared for the real world after finishing our courses.
Placement: I really like how the college helps us get jobs. They make sure more than 80 percent of us get placed every year. And we also get a decent stipend, from 500 to 1000 dollars, depending on the company. The top ones that hire us are M.Sc. FLEET, CHEVRON, and SYNERGY. It's awesome to know we have good options after we graduate.
Campus: The college has great infrastructure! The hostels are fully furnished, Wi-Fi is available for all cadets, and classrooms have AC and smart boards. Even the library is air-conditioned. And hey, the food from the mess is clean and safe to eat.

Admission: The professors here really know their stuff and are always there to help us out. They even have a special room just for clearing up any doubts we have. But man, those semester exams are no joke! It's tough to pass with a good grade in just one shot.
Placement: Most students get jobs after finishing the course, with different pay packages. Popular companies like Fleet Management and M.Sc. Chevron hire many graduates. And about half of us start internships in our second year.
Campus: The hostel is great with nice furniture and Wi-Fi for all students. The classrooms are cool with air conditioning. The library has lots of books like novels and textbooks to help us with our studies.

Admission: The teachers at IMU Kolkata Campus really know their stuff, with many of them having worked as chief engineers or surveyors before. The course is all about marine stuff, teaching us everything we need to know to be a marine engineer on a ship. The exams each semester are okay, but you gotta study hard or you might fail. Some subjects are tough and take a lot of time to understand.
Placement: The job placement rate here is awesome almost all cadets get placed each year. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 1200 $ monthly, while most get around 600-700 $. Some big companies like Chevron, Shell, and Dynacom come for hiring. From the 2nd year, we can do internships. As a 5th engineer, we learn a lot on the job.
Campus: The classrooms have AC, projectors, and Wi-Fi. I like that there's a library for studying before exams. The food in the mess is pretty good. We play lots of sports here, like football and table tennis. And there's a medical center on campus too.

Admission: The teachers here are all graduates of this college and end up as top engineers. They have real-world experience and teach us a lot about tough ship conditions. The course covers a bit of everything: electrical, mechanical, electronics, and software engineering. The exams are pretty challenging, but about 70% of us manage to pass all the subjects.
Placement: I graduated in 2024 with 238 other cadets. Most of us got jobs, around 231 cadets. The rest are either taking extra classes or going for more schooling. The big companies that hired us are NYK, Chevron, Pacific Basin, M.Sc. Dynagas, and Torm Tankers. Lots of options out there for us!
Campus: Living on campus is mandatory for this course. The hostel has everything you need like labs, libraries, and a mess. Plus, there's a big field for sports like football, hockey, and cricket. You can also find a basketball court, badminton court, gym, and a huge auditorium on the premises.

Admission: The teachers knew their stuff and were really helpful. They taught well and the course content was spot on for getting us ready for jobs. The exams were pretty challenging, but fair with over half the class passing.
Placement: In 2021, most students got jobs, around 85%. Companies like nyk, chevron, feet management, and others hired students. Some got jobs as trainee marine engineers or junior marine engineers. It's cool to see so many of us finding good opportunities here.
Campus: The college campus has great facilities like labs, classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. The food is okay. They have good medical services and sports activities to keep us fit and healthy.
