Admission: The exams at Tolani Maritime Institute are tough but fair. They happen every six months, and Indian Maritime University runs them. They take cheating seriously, so be careful. If you're caught, you might have to repeat a year. Just study hard and you'll be fine!
Placement: The college has great placement opportunities with top companies. All the teachers are really supportive. It's the only college in India where you can get such good placements in merchant navy from well-known international companies. They offer three different courses.
Campus: I ended up getting placed in a great company with help from all the teachers. This college is the best for merchant navy placements, especially with top international companies. I took three courses here, and it was totally worth it!

Admission: The teachers at TMI are really smart and experienced. Most of them have Ph.D.s, and some have worked in the marine industry as Captains or Chief Engineers. They teach really well, and we cover a lot of material in class. Exams happen about every 2 months, and they're not too hard. But sometimes, about 30% of students fail because of tough grading. The course is great for anyone interested in marine machinery on ships. We learn theory and get hands-on experience, plus other useful skills like carpentry and welding. Overall, I feel like this course prepares us well for the industry.
Placement: The rule is to have no backlogs, but you can still get a job even with one if you clear it in time. Companies like Wallem, Chevron, EPS, British Petroleum, etc. came for placements. They usually hired around 4 students each. The highest internship package is about 10 Lacs, but can go up to 24 Lacs after promotions. On average, we get placed with a 7 Lacs package. About 96 percent of students in my course get placed on-campus. The main roles offered are engine cadets, deck cadets, or ETO.
Campus: At TMI, we have sports events every year with stuff like running, marching, football, and more. It happens in both semesters. We also have a cool event called Horizons in the second semester. There's dances, singing, and DJ nights. It's all about competing between different groups. Our library has a mix of old and new books. The classrooms are basic with projectors, blackboards, and wooden seats. The college gives us lots of sports options and clubs to join. There's even a club to help with studies and job stuff, run by students themselves.

Admission: The Indian Maritime University plans the curriculum for us. The teachers are super knowledgeable. The curriculum helps us get ready for the job. Exams are pretty easy, and almost everyone passes with a 98% success rate.
Placement: All students in B.Sc. Nautical Science get placed, which is awesome! The highest salary is about 850 dollars per month, much better than other places. Some might start at 500 dollars. Companies handle the internships, so no stress there.
Campus: The campus has really good facilities. There are different labs where you can practice what you learn. It's helpful for getting experience for when you go on the ship. Wi-Fi is available everywhere because it's a residential course.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome! They know their stuff and really help us out. They're super qualified and experienced in the subject. They can explain any doubts we have. The course prepares us really well. The exams are all about what we've learned in class.
Placement: Around 60% of us have already landed jobs. The highest salary is $1100, while the lowest is $350 when we start working. The top jobs we get are cadet roles on ships. Tormstena Home and Msi BW are some of the top companies hiring us. Not many students stay back for internships since most of us go straight to intern on ships.
Campus: The campus classrooms have great facilities with working Wi-Fi. All the classes are air-conditioned which is a big plus. The library has Wi-Fi and lots of books to choose from. Hostel facilities are good too, with a mess attached so you don't have to stress about food. Overall, it's a comfortable place to study and live.

Admission: The teachers at this college are super smart and really serious about their jobs. That's why the fees are a bit high compared to other places. But it's worth it because you get taught by some top-notch professors. The passing rate is around 50%, and that includes the internal exams.
Placement: I was really impressed by how well the college helped students get jobs. Almost everyone in our course found a job before finishing. The best companies in the merchant navy field come here to hire students, so you know you're getting top-notch opportunities. The college only lets the best companies recruit students, which is awesome.
Campus: There are 3 hostels at Tolani College, and the girls' wing is attached to H2. The hostels are awesome and have a really clean mess. The only downside is the washrooms, but overall, Tolani's hostel services are top-notch.

Admission: The teachers at this college are awesome! They really know their stuff and are always there to help out with any questions. The course material is spot on and gets you all set for the real world. And hey, the pass rate is about 50%, so you know they're doing something right!
Placement: I'm in a course where almost all students get placed 98% to be exact. The pay is pretty good too, with the highest offer being 22 lakhs per year, the lowest at 8.5 lakhs, and the average around 16.5 lakhs. Companies like NYK, Torm Tanker, Dyna Gas, Chevron, Shell, and even some cruise companies come for recruitment.
Campus: I really like all the facilities in my course, especially the workshop sessions. The hostel facilities are top-notch, and the food in the mess and canteen is really great. Plus, there are medical facilities and sports available on campus, which is awesome.

Admission: The teachers at this college are super helpful and know their stuff. They've got tons of experience in the marine field. Some are retired chief engineers and captains who share their real-life stories. The curriculum is spot-on for what we need to know. It really sets you up to breeze through your class 4 and class 2 exams. The semester tests are tough, but fair. The questions are at a good level of difficulty. You need at least a 50% to pass the theory part. About 60% of students make it through.
Placement: I graduated in 2014 and our campus has a great track record with 100% of students getting jobs (40 out of 40). Companies like MSC, Fleet, Pacific Basin, OSM Thome, and more come here every year to hire trainee marine engineers. In the last semester (8th semester), we all get internships at Mazagon Dockyard. The pay during training varies, but on average it's around $650 per month. It's a great opportunity for us all.
Campus: The infrastructure has some limitations, but it works well enough. The labs have all the machines we need for hands-on learning. We also have a digital library with computers and wifi for studying. The hostel has wifi too. The food is pretty good and nutritious, but not very fancy-tasting. There's a canteen on campus that's open until 10 p.m. We even have a doctor on campus for 3 hours every morning. And after classes, we can do our hobbies. It's pretty cool!

Admission: The faculty here are super helpful and really know their stuff. A bunch of them used to be in the Navy or work on ships. They tell us stories from their time at sea, which helps us understand things better. Oh, and the semester exams are run by IMU.
Placement: Almost everyone in my batch got a job this year, which is awesome! Some students who didn't get placed had backlogs to clear. To land a job at TMI, you just need to make sure you've cleared all your backlogs. There are plenty of companies that come for placements like BP, Wallem, Fleet, Synergy, Carnival Cruise, WSM, and more.
Campus: The Wi-Fi in class and the library is great, never runs out. In the hostel, we use Ethernet from 5 PM to 11 PM on weekdays and 1 PM to 11 PM on weekends. The food is really good, and even the teachers eat in the hostel mess. There are lots of sports options here like track, basketball, badminton, swimming, and even cricket. Lots to do here!

Admission: The teachers here are really friendly and know their stuff. They teach well and the course content is practical. It helps us get ready for jobs in the field. The semester exams can be challenging, but the college exams are fair. Most students pass with a 90% or higher.
Placement: I really liked how the college helped all students get placed. The companies that came for recruitment were top-notch like MOL, BP, PIL, NYK. It was cool that around 60-70% of us got internships too. The engineering and mechanical roles had good opportunities for us to get onboard. It's great to know that everyone who was eligible got a job after college.
Campus: The college has great medical and other facilities right on campus. The infrastructure for studying is top-notch. The Wi-Fi and labs are really good. The hostel facilities are nice too. The mess food is tasty with lots of options. There are lots of sports played here and they organize different events too.

Placement: Almost all students, around 95%, get placed with a good starting salary of at least INR 80,000. Companies like Chevrolet, MOL, BW, and BP come to hire us. Some companies offer internships on campus, while others take students for internships off campus.
Campus: The hostel is nice with Wi-Fi and basic facilities. The washrooms are decent. Classrooms are cool with AC, projector, and blackboard. We also have a library and labs for hands-on stuff. The food is good with a variety of menus to choose from. Overall, everything is basic but does the job well.
