Admission: Selection at IIITK was followed by quick physical verification and a useful orientation session that explained the next steps well, making the transition comfortable.
Academic: Our teachers here are really good, they know a lot and are always ready to help students. But the course curriculum is a bit tough to manage. We have exams super often here. Plus, in between all these exams, we also get many assignments for different subjects and even lab exams keep happening. So yeah, the whole study part is quite difficult.
Placement: Okay so for placements, the average package here is around 9-10 LPA. Some really good companies visit our campus for hiring. Usually, interviews are done online these days. Most of us get offers for software development engineer roles, but you can also find jobs as a data analyst or UI/UX engineer, which is nice.
Campus: Our campus is temporary right now, so the hostels we have are temporary too. The food in the hostel mess is not very good, but I must say, it has gotten a little better compared to last year. Labs and classrooms here are mostly okay. For playing games and swimming, we actually have to go and use the facilities at other colleges.

Admission: Steps at IIITK were clearly defined from start to finish. Merit list display, counselling, document verification, and registration were handled well, and orientation gave a positive first impression.
Academic: From my experience here, our course curriculum is quite useful. We even did a project paper that showed like 80% of what they teach helps in industry. The faculty here are super helpful and very knowledgeable; they publish a lot of research papers too. Exams can be a little tough because the teachers want us to study hard and really learn things. But good thing is, most people pass, almost 95% of students manage to clear their exams.
Placement: When it comes to placements, our college does well, especially for CSE students where about 85% find jobs. For ECE, the first batch is still studying and will pass out in 2025, so there aren't any placement figures yet. The top salary package offered on campus was 26 lakh, but off-campus some students even landed jobs worth 50 lakh. On average, the package is 12.76 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. Big companies like Yellow Class, Jio, Amazon, and Qualcomm recruit from here. Also, about 40% of students got internships. The main job roles you can get are Flutter Developer, SDE, and AIML.
Campus: The facilities here at our college are pretty good, even though in this current semester IIIT Kalyani is running on Webel and we dont have our own campus yet. We have everything important like good Wi-Fi, a decent canteen, proper classrooms with projectors, and a useful library. The hostel is also quite good, and the food quality is actually above average. For sports, there are lots of options like cricket, football, table tennis, and even swimming, which is great because our college has a tie-up with Kalyani Stadium. We are hoping to get our own hostel in the main campus around January.

Admission: Application to IIIT Kalyani went smoothly through JoSAA counselling. Seat allotment was as expected, campus verification was efficient, and staff helped clear doubts during registration.
Academic: Our college faculty is really good, I think they are the best part here. They teach in a way that helps us understand everything properly. All our professors have a PhD in their own field, so they know a lot. Plus, there are not many students, so teachers can give special attention to each one of us. The curriculum is also well designed, it includes information that helps us get jobs, and teachers help us learn those things too. Even though exams are a bit tough, I guess that is a good thing for us.
Placement: From my experience, the on-campus placements are not up to the mark. Only about 50-60% of students get placed here. This year, the top salary package was 40 LPA, which is great, but the average was around 12-13 KPA. Even though that average might sound okay, very few students actually get placed with such packages. We used to find our own internships, because till now there wasn't any placement cell in college. Good thing is, they started one in 2024, so fingers crossed things will improve for us in the future.
Campus: From my experience, the biggest issue at our college is that we dont have our own campus or hostel yet. Everything is on rent. They keep telling us we will get our own campus this year, and honestly, they've been saying this for three years straight! But I guess it might actually happen now because the construction work is almost finished. Right now, there are just five classrooms, so campus life is pretty much zero. Talking about the hostel, it's even worse. They put four students in rooms that are supposed to be for three people, but even two students would find it too small to live comfortably. And the mess food? Oh, it's really bad, you'll struggle to eat it when you first join. But I think this problem with mess food is common in many colleges, so I guess it's something you just have to deal with.

Admission: Admission at IIITK felt easy from the beginning. The online registration portal worked smoothly, document verification steps were clearly shared, and the staff helped patiently whenever I had doubts, which made the start stress free.
Academic: At IIIT Kalyani, you get really good faculty members. Many of them finished their studies from top colleges like IITs and NITs, and they are also super helpful and cooperative. The college makes sure students get real industry experience because our study plan is made so we learn things practically. We also have a relative grading system here.
Placement: Regarding placements in our college, the ECE program is brand new this year. So, no students have been placed from ECE yet as this will be their first placement season. We are really optimistic that it will be successful for them. On the other hand, students from the CSE department have already secured positions in many leading companies like Amazon, TCS, and Goldman Sachs.
Campus: The college gives us excellent facilities. We don't have our main campus yet, but it's almost ready, and we will move to the new hostel very soon. We also have a tie-up with Kalyani University. This helps us do lots of sports activities and improve our skills, which makes our college look good.

Admission: Admission into IIITK felt manageable. Online registration after JEE rank was simple, counselling was clear, document verification was smooth, and orientation explained things properly.
Academic: What I like most about my college is the teachers. They are really amazing, like top scientists, and always help us students a lot, giving good guidance. The course curriculum is also very well planned, covering stuff like ML to make us ready for the industry. Plus, the exams are good quality, and we have many resources available here.
Placement: For placements at our college, since we are just the second batch for ECE, there haven't been any specific placements for our course yet. But overall, the highest package this year was 44 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA. The main role offered is SDE, and Motive is a top recruiting company. When it comes to internships, it totally depends on what skills students have. Honestly, earlier many more companies visited our campus for recruitment, but now that number has decreased a lot. The placement cell also needs work, it feels weak because there isn't a dedicated head to coordinate everything. So, yeah, many things need to be improved in this area.
Campus: Honestly, our college doesn't even have its own campus, it just runs from a small building. Because of this, our library is super small with very few books, and the labs and classrooms are also quite limited. The hostel conditions are really bad; they are very unhealthy and even dangerous since it's located in an area with reptiles, worms, and other harmful creatures. Also, the cleanliness in the hostels is not good at all. The mess food quality is very poor, and basic things like electricity and other facilities are also not good. Honestly, there's no campus life here; you just come to study and get your degree, nothing else.

Admission: Registration at IIITK was well organised. The online portal worked properly, counselling communication was timely, document verification was quick, and orientation helped in settling down.
Academic: Talking about the faculty, our teachers really know their stuff and they are very supportive. The Computer Science course curriculum is good, it focuses on real-life problems. Exams are not too easy, sometimes they are a bit hard. But still, almost 90 percent of students pass the courses.
Placement: Our college had some really great placements this year. For B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, about 90 percent of students got placed, and we had big companies like Amazon, Infosys, and Jio come for recruitment. The highest salary package for CSE was 47 LPA, and the average package was around 13 LPA. In my course, there are usually about 74 students in each section. Also, the college makes sure we get lots of opportunities for internships.
Campus: Our IIIT Kalyani campus is temporary right now because the main one is still being built. Because of this, the hostel facilities are not that great, and the mess isn't very clean. For sports, college works with a local stadium to give us facilities.

Admission: Process of admission in IIITK felt simple and well managed. Registration instructions were clear, document verification was efficient, and pre orientation updates helped with preparation.
Academic: At IIIT Kalyani, our teachers are really good. Both the guest and permanent faculty are here and they are all super helpful, qualified, and know a lot. The teaching quality is excellent. What I like is that the course syllabus is very relevant, it really gets us ready for jobs. Our teachers also give proper training for placements and internships which is a big help. They even organize lots of hackathons and other activities for our development. Plus, passing semester exams here is not that hard.
Placement: Talking about placements at IIIT Kalyani, students get many chances to find a job. In our college, around 50-60% of CSE students get placed. The average salary package was usually between 5-7 LPA. Top companies like Infosys, Mc Kinsey, IBM, Walmart, Deloitte, and Accenture come to hire. They offer roles such as software developers, web developers, and data scientists.
Campus: IIIT Kalyani has a really good campus with top-quality facilities for students. Everything from Wi-Fi, labs, library, and canteen to hostel, sports, and medical services is available right here. The infrastructure for the CSE course is excellent. We also have multiple sports facilities, and the hostel amenities along with the mess food are quite good.

Admission: Process at IIITK after JoSAA counselling felt simple. Campus verification was smooth, staff guidance during registration helped a lot, and date communication was clear.
Academic: At IIIT Kalyani, the professors are super qualified, nearly 90% of them have PhDs from top colleges like IIT KGP, IIT D, and Jadavpur University. They teach everything very well, and if you have any doubts after class, you can always talk to them, they're happy to help. The course structure here is really good, it makes students ready for the industry. You get ready to apply for internships by your second year itself. Semester exams are not too hard, and even though we have relative grading which brings some competition, almost 95% of students pass easily.
Placement: Our college has pretty good placements. Like in 2022, everyone got placed, 100% placement was there. This year, 2023, placements are still happening, and by June, 895 students already got placed. The highest package at IIIT Kalyani was 26 LPA, which is great. The average package was around 12.76 LPA, and the median package was 12 LPA. Even the minimum package was 5.7 LPA. Many big companies come for recruitment, like JIO, MAQ SOFTWARE, INFOSYS, WIPRO, TATA TCS, Delloite Consulting, QUOLUM, EXTRAMARKS, SPARROW SOFTECH, NIVIDIA, and lots more. About internships, I'm not sure of the exact number, but they tell us it's compulsory for 3rd and 4th-year students to do one. So, I guess almost everyone gets an internship from our college.
Campus: Right now, our academics for IIIT Kalyani happen at WEBEL IT Park. They have all good facilities there like smart boards, Wi-Fi, proper labs, a library, clean toilets, AC classrooms, and a lift. Our hostel is at the BSNL hall of residence in Kalyani Simanta. The food is good; we get meals four times a day – breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Inside the hostel, there's a badminton court and around 3-4 gym machines. For sports, we go to Kalyani Stadium since our college has a tie-up with them. At Kalyani Stadium, you can find everything like an Olympic-size swimming pool, cricket and football grounds, table tennis, and lots more. Actually, the permanent campus for our college is still being built. Our director told us that the first phase, which will have the academic building, boys and girls hostels, a guest house, and a big ground, will be done by April 2024. After that, the second phase will start building more things like a cricket ground, football ground, swimming pool, auditorium, and other sports facilities.

Admission: Application clarity really stood out at IIITK. From the merit list update to reporting instructions, everything was explained properly through timely emails, so there was very little confusion.
Academic: From my experience here, the exams are not that tough if you pay attention in class. Right now, our end-sem exams are going on, and I think they are easy if you just focus. Even the mid-sem exams, for a first-semester like me, seemed pretty simple. Our teachers are really good and they explain things well. You just need to get used to their English a bit. Also, everything taught here is only from our syllabus.
Placement: Our college has good placements; about 70% of students find jobs. The top salary offered was 44 LPA, and the minimum package was 4.4 LPA. If you are a decent student, getting an average package of 10 LPA is quite possible here. For recruitment, Amazon is the biggest name that visits, plus companies like TCS, Cognizant, and many more. Everyone here gets a chance for internships if they show good talent.
Campus: About the hostel here, it's not very good right now. This is because our college is still new and the main campus, along with the new hostel, is still under construction. But seriously, the upcoming new college and hostel will be super good, trust me. For other things, Wi-Fi connectivity is strong, so no issues there. Food is just okay, pretty average. You might not like it much at first, but after some time, you'll get used to it. One thing to note is there aren't any good places nearby for sightseeing.

Admission: Experience of admission at IIITK was clear and manageable. Registration went smoothly, document verification took some time but staff were supportive, and counselling was organised.
Academic: From my experience, the teachers here are really good. They are all very qualified, coming from big-name colleges, and they teach us properly. The whole syllabus is well-planned too. Exams are done fairly, and the semester papers are usually not too tough, not too easy. Also, the grading for each subject is quite fair. A cool thing is that in the fourth year, we get to choose our own subjects.
Placement: It's a bit tough to find placement data for our current batch on any website. But our seniors told us how things are. They shared that the average package offered was 10 LPA. Lots of companies came and gave good offers, but still, not everyone managed to get placed.
Campus: Honestly, the infrastructure in our college is not up to the mark. We have AC classrooms with projectors and boards, which is nice, but the ACs don't always work properly. There is a library here too. About the food, the mess food is just average, nothing special or great. And yeah, the hostel fees are quite high, which is a bit of a problem for students.
