Admission: The teachers here all have their PhDs from top colleges in India and around the world. They really know their stuff and have done a lot of research. Some seniors even did research projects with them and continued in places like IISC, Inria, and DRDO. We do a lot of work on cryptography here, which is cool if you're into that. The stuff we learn is up-to-date and matches the GATE curriculum. They cover a bunch of topics like post quantum cryptography, medical image processing, and computer vision. The curriculum gets you ready, but you gotta keep up with the changing skills too. We use Linux in the labs and have a lot of open source software. Grading is pretty fair for semester papers, so it's not too hard to get good grades. Teachers grade differently, but the final grades are fair. Most students pass their exams, and there are retests if you need them.
Placement: The college's placement rate keeps getting better every year. Nearly all students land jobs with an average package of 10-14 Lacs right on campus. Some top students are now working at Flutterflow, Morgan Stanley, and Tower Research. Others are at Tata 1mg, Jio, and Yellowbook. A few even did internships at AMD working on compilers. Quite a few students also got into Google Summer of Code and Google Summer of Docs through orgs like KDE, Wikimidea, and LLVM.
Campus: Our classes are in a temporary campus because our building isn't finished yet. We've got Wi-Fi, computer labs, and electronics labs here. The library is also in this temporary campus. Our classrooms have smart boards and AC audio visual systems. The only issue is not having our own college campus yet, but we should get one soon.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff. It's cool because the campus isn't too crowded, so it's easy to talk to them when you need help. The classes are all about getting you ready for getting a job. The teachers even help you with projects to boost your skills.
Placement: IIIT Kalyani is a solid college in Nadia, West Bengal. The campus is great for studying. They only offer CSE and ECE courses, so it's not too busy. It's easy to connect with seniors and teachers. The faculty really know their stuff.
Campus: Our college is still being built, so there's no campus yet. The hostel is rented out and it's about 4 kilometers away from the college. The hostel is alright, but could be cleaner. The college is in a building with classes, a library, and labs for both majors.

Admission: The teachers are really nice and always ready to help. The courses cover all the important stuff by the 7th semester, so we can do internships in the 8th. Exams are okay, not too tough. Just study a bit before and you'll do fine. But gotta admit, AI and NLP are tricky. Can't cram those in a couple of days.
Placement: Our batch got hit by COVID-19 and now we're facing a tough time with the recession. Because of this, placements are not great. By December, only 15 students found jobs. The main companies hiring were Speak (Yellow Classes), Zscaler, Beehyv Software Solutions, and Xeno. They came to our campus for recruitment.
Campus: The college doesn't have its own campus, so it doesn't have all the facilities that engineering students need. It's basically in one IT Park where everything happens. When everyone shows up, there's not enough room for everyone. They have a hostel, but it's rented.

Admission: The teachers are really good and explain things well, but you need to understand their English. They teach everything that's in the curriculum. Midterms are pretty easy. I'm in my first semester and I think paying attention in class makes the end-of-semester exams easier. Right now, we're in the middle of the end-of-semester exams.
Placement: Most students get placed, with the highest salary being 44lpa and the lowest at 4.4lpa. If you do well, you can expect an average package of 10lpa. Amazon is the main company hiring here, along with others like TCS and Cognizant. If you're talented, you'll likely land an internship easily.
Campus: The hostel here isn't great because the college doesn't have its own campus yet. They're still building it. The new college and hostel are actually pretty good, but there aren't many places to go see around here. The Wi-Fi is good though, so that's a plus. The food is just okay. You might not love it at first, but it grows on you.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome and really know their stuff. They explain things in a way that makes sense to us students. The course we're studying is up-to-date with what employers want. Lots of students are landing good jobs after graduation. Our college is well-respected by employers. We have mid-term and end-term exams that count towards our final grades. Midterms are usually tougher than end-of-semester exams.
Placement: Our college has great placements. On average, students get around 13 LPA, with the middle point being about 12 LPA. Big companies like Jio, Amazon, Wipro, and Infosys come to hire from our campus. The highest salary offered this year was around 26 LPA on-campus and 47 LPA off-campus. So, you can definitely count on getting a good job after studying here.
Campus: The main campus is being built, so all hostels and buildings are rented. The hostel has Wi-Fi, but the mess food is just okay. Rooms are usually shared with 3, 5, or just one person. Kalyani has good medical facilities. We get to use Kalyani Stadium for sports like cricket, swimming, and football. They even have coaches for each sport.

Admission: The teachers at IIIT Kalyani were top-notch. They had both guest and full-time teachers. Everyone was friendly, smart, and knew their stuff. The teaching was great, and the courses set us up for the real world. Exams weren't too tough. They helped us find jobs and internships. They also had cool events to help us grow.
Placement: IIIT Kalyani has lots of job opportunities for students. In Computer Science, about half of the students get placed here. The average salary is around 5-7 LPA. Big companies like Infosys, Mc Kinsey, IBM, Walmart, Deloitte, and Accenture come for placements. They offer roles like software developers, web developers, and data scientists.
Campus: The CSE course at IIIT Kalyani has awesome facilities. They have everything you need on campus Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, hostel, sports, and medical help. Plus, lots of sports options for students. The hostel is nice and the food in the mess is tasty.

Admission: The teachers really know their stuff and are super qualified. They teach well and the course content is spot on for getting a job. Exams aren't too tough and they grade fairly. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to.
Placement: Most of us in the batch of 2023-2024 got jobs, around 89.33%. The pay ranges from 4.29 LPA to 44 LPA, with an average of 10.72 LPA. Big companies like Reliance, Jio, Infosys, Wipro, and Deloitte hire from here. They offer jobs like software developer, data analyst, and AI/ML engineer. But, one downside is that many placements happen outside the campus.
Campus: The college has nice classrooms with digital boards, Wi-fi, labs, and library. Unfortunately, there aren't any medical facilities. The food and water quality could be better, it hasn't improved. The hostel is decent but could use better security.

Admission: The facilities here are super helpful and know their stuff. They've done a ton of research papers. We even did one about our course, which was really useful for real life. The paper was a bit challenging, but the faculty pushes us to study and learn. Almost everyone passes the exam, which is awesome.
Placement: Most CSE students get placed, around 85%. ECE hasn't had any batches graduate yet first one's in 2025. On-campus, the highest package is 26 lakhs, off-campus is around 50 lakhs. Average package is 12.76 lakhs, lowest is 6 lakhs. Big recruiters are Yellow Class, Jio, Amazon, and Qualcomm. 40% of students do internships. Popular roles are Flutter Developer, SDE, and AIML.
Campus: This semester, IIIT Kalyani doesn't have its own campus yet, so we're using Webel. But we still have everything we need Wi-Fi, a canteen, classrooms, projectors, and a library. The hostel is pretty nice too. Food's decent, but I heard it might get better when we move to our main campus in January. Sports-wise, we have cricket, football, table tennis, swimming, and more. Plus, the college has a connection with Kalyani Stadium. Overall, it's a good setup here.

Admission: The professors at IIIT Kalyani are really good. Around 90% of them have Ph.D.s from top institutes like IIT KGP, IIT D, and Jadavpur University. They teach well and are happy to help if you have any questions after class. The course structure is relevant and prepares us for the industry. By the end of the second year, we're ready for internships. The semester exams are not too hard, and we have a grading system that's fair. There's some competition among students, but about 95% of us pass the exams.
Placement: In 2022, everyone got placed. At the moment in 2023, 895 students already have jobs by June. The top offer at IIIT Kalyani is 26 LPA, with an average of 12.76 LPA. The lowest one is 5.7 LPA. Big companies like JIO, MAQ SOFTWARE, INFOSYS, and more hire from here. They say all students have to do internships in the 3rd and 4th year. I think everyone gets an internship, but I'm not sure about the exact numbers.
Campus: The IIIT Kalyani campus isn't ready yet. Our classes are held at WEBEL IT Park. The director said phase 1 of the new campus will be done in April 2024, with buildings, hostels, and a big ground. Phase 2 will have sports facilities like cricket and football grounds, a swimming pool, and an auditorium. Our current setup has everything we need: smart boards, Wi-Fi, a library, clean toilets, AC classrooms, and a lift. We stay at BSNL hall of residence in Kalyani Simanta, where the food is good. We get four meals a day: breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The hostel even has a badminton court and a gym with a few equipment. For more sports options, we go to Kalyani Stadium. IIIT Kalyani has a deal with the stadium, so we get access to facilities like an Olympic-size swimming pool, cricket and football grounds, and table tennis. It's a great place for sports lovers!

Admission: The teachers here are really good. They know their stuff and studied at good schools. They explain things well and the exams are fair. The semester tests are not too hard. Each subject gets graded fairly. In the fourth year, you get to pick your classes. It's pretty cool.
Placement: I couldn't find any info online about this year's placements. But seniors told us that the average package offered was around 10 LPA. Some companies came and gave good offers, but not everyone got placed.
Campus: The college infrastructure could be better. Some classrooms have AC, but they don't always work. Each classroom has a projector and boards. We also have a library. The food in the mess is just okay, not great. The hostel fees are pretty high.
