Admission: Entry into IPGMER was managed well, as online registration was quick, counselling schedules were clear, verification took some time but staff support remained strong, and transparency reduced stress.
Academic: From my experience here, the teachers are really knowledgeable and super friendly. They are good with modern tech but also use board and chalk for basics, even using PowerPoints and videos to make us understand stuff. Whenever we have questions or need help, they are always available. They even did a mentorship program in the anatomy department, where each group of students had a teacher assigned to them to help with problems. Our MBBS course strictly follows the MCI and WBUHS rules, which is great. Regular presentations on different topics also help us learn better. The college environment, plus going to wards and doing AETCOM courses, makes us ready for real-life situations. Semester exams are not super hard if you study properly, and going to regular ITEMS classes helps a lot for preparation. Around 80% of students pass these exams. If you fail a semester exam or miss it, you have to take a retest. At the end of the year, there's a big professional exam called MB. Each subject in this exam is for 300 marks – 100 for paper 1, 100 for paper 2, and 100 for practicals. This big exam is conducted by WBUHS, and the pass percentage for it is also quite good.
Placement: You know, after 4 and a half years of our course, everyone has to do a one-year internship. For that, we get paid around Rs. 33,000 every month. Once MBBS is done, you can either sit for NEET PG to do post-graduation or apply for a house staff ship right here in our college. There are many job chances once you complete MBBS.
Campus: Our college facilities are really good, we have lots of lecture halls that are super clean and modern. They all have AC, projectors, and a good sound system, plus plenty of seats for everyone. Most of our main classes are held in the UCM building and the academic building, which are kept very well, and there's security on the ground floor. You can also find a bookstore at the bottom of the UCM building. For food, we have like 6-7 canteens on campus, and each one offers different kinds of yummy food. Our labs are also equipped with modern machines, helping us do all sorts of experiments, and the lab assistants are very helpful, giving us good chances to learn. We have a huge library with tons of medical books, and right next to it, there's an E-library where we can use computers for our studies. Hostel facility is available for all students, whether you are a boy or girl, doing UG, PG, or an intern. The boys' hostels are close to campus, while the girls' hostel is right on campus itself. There's even a gym on the ground floor of the hostel. For sports, we have a big ground on campus, and inside the common room, you can play table tennis and carrom. Also, there's a park inside the hospital area where students can relax or just hang out.

Admission: Communication from IPGMER remained prompt, guiding applicants through merit list announcements, counselling, verification, and registration with consistent clarity.
Academic: Our teachers are seriously good, like really world-class faculty here. Take Dr. DK Sarkar for example, he is our surgery professor and he's also the big boss, president, of all breast surgeons in Asia. Some doctors even get a big chance to work at SSKM Hospital. This is a super special government hospital that was made during British rule, and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru opened it officially. Learning from such famous doctors gives you so much experience and a good look into how top healthcare facilities are built.
Placement: For medical students, after you finish MBBS, there are no placements like in other fields. Instead, you have to do an internship. This internship can be done at your own college, or you can join another hospital as an extern. Honestly, a hospital won't work without interns; the whole system would break down super fast. So, you need to be very sincere and responsible here. The stipend they give isn't really enough for all the hard work you put in. But, once your internship is done from this college, you'll learn so much, things that other colleges just don't teach. This is a really top institution with super smart people from all over the world. It's a big chance to work with them, see how they handle patients, and listen to their experiences that made them reach such a great place in their careers.
Campus: In our college, the classrooms are very modern and have AC, so no complaints there. We also have a really big library where you can sit and read books anytime, day or night. For sports, our football ground is popular, and the student committee arranges intercollege matches for games like Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, and Badminton. The hostel rooms for first and second-year students are not that great, to be honest. But everyone waits for three years to get into the Main hostel, which is also called the Intern hostel. It's the best part because it's super good and costs just 12 rupees per month. From the terrace of this hostel, you can see famous spots like Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Race Course, and Taj Bengal. This view is seriously amazing and probably the best you can find in a big city like Kolkata.

Admission: System followed at IPGMER after NEET results appeared organized, with smooth state counselling, efficient seat allocation, thorough verification, helpful staff, and easy final reporting.
Academic: Our teachers here are really qualified and have lots of experience. They are super helpful too. Plus, they are very friendly and tell us about their own old experiences and even the mistakes they made. For our course, we have three internal exams, and we need to get 50% in them.
Placement: Our college has all the streams available after MBBS. For students in our course, almost 100% of them get placed in jobs. The average salary package offered here is quite good, around 30,000 rupees every month.
Campus: You won't have trouble with food here because our college has so many canteens. If you don't like one, you can just pick another one, simple. For students, all facilities are available. The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, which is super useful. We also have an e-library, a teleconsultation room, and even a morgue. The hostel is well-built with floor tiles and good quality stuff fitted inside.

Admission: Approach to IPGMER admission through NEET counselling felt supportive, featuring prompt date communication, efficient verification, quick registration after merit list confirmation, and a well-organized process.
Academic: Our teachers here are really nice and always help us. They are super qualified and know so much. They teach everything from the very beginning, then slowly move to tougher topics. You can talk to them easily, they are very friendly. Our course syllabus is very good because it prepares us to become strong doctors for society. The exams are not too hard, not too easy, just medium difficulty. There is one big final exam after the first year. Most students pass it, about 70 to 80 percent.
Placement: For MBBS students, doing an internship in the final year is compulsory for everyone. During this internship, all students receive a monthly salary of about Rs. 30,000. After completing the MBBS course, there are many job opportunities available. Some students opt to study further for specialization by taking the NEET PG exam, while others can directly join as house staff in a hospital.
Campus: From my experience, our college offers some really great modern facilities. The labs here have super good instruments for all sorts of tests, experiments, and research, like X-rays, MRI, and CT scans. We're actually now called a 'center of excellence' because of this. Our classes happen in lecture theatres that are fully air-conditioned, have plenty of space, and come with projectors for e-classes and speakers. Inside the academic building, there's a big central library filled with tons of medical books and journals, and right next to it, an e-library with lots of computers. Hostel facilities are also good; the girls hostel is inside the campus while the boys hostel is outside. Rooms are regularly cleaned and kept well. For food, the mess and hospital canteens serve good quality, hygienic meals with a huge variety of items. Plus, we have a big playground on the campus for sports like football, cricket, and badminton, and a common room where you can play table tennis and carrom board.

Academic: What I like most about our college is how helpful and qualified the teachers are. They all have really good degrees, which makes their teaching quality awesome. The college also has good facilities, so students can learn many things there easily. Semester exams are not too easy, not too hard, so you have to study properly to clear them. The pass percentage is around 50% for most students.
Placement: Our college has really good placements, like 90% of students get jobs after finishing. The salary packages are also good, but the amount can change for each person. A great thing is almost 100% of students get internships from the hospitals connected to us. After doing MBS, you can easily choose to do your MD or MS in your favorite subject. Being a doctor is a very important and respected job in our society.
Campus: The classrooms in our college are really good for studying. They have modern stuff like projectors, making it easy and comfy for students to attend classes, even for online ones. Also, the labs are well-equipped and look nice. For staying, hostel Wi-Fi is available, which is very useful. We have many libraries too; our undergraduate library is super comfortable and has lots of books.

Admission: Structure of IPGMER admissions after NEET PG counselling remained clear, with smooth verification, helpful staff during final steps, and slightly slower merit list communication balanced by overall organization.
Academic: In my experience, the teachers at our college are super helpful and know their stuff well; they are all qualified. Their teaching style is also awesome, always with good presentations that make things clear. The course content is really relevant to what we need to learn. For exams, the semester ones arent that hard, honestly, you can pass them easily. Even though these semester marks dont count towards your final grade, they really build up your confidence for the big final exam. To pass, you need to score 50%.
Placement: Our college offers different courses like MBBS, B.Sc. nursing, post-graduation, and BMLT. For MBBS students, there's no placement, you know. After finishing MBBS, you get your license and then you can start practicing medicine. Everyone must do a rotating internship after the third year here. The good thing is, they also pay a good salary during this internship.
Campus: Our campus has pretty much everything we need for students. We have Wi-Fi access all around. The labs here are really well-equipped, so doing experiments is easy. Lecture halls are big, can fit more than 200 students, and they come with AC, projectors, and whiteboards. Our library is also great with lots of books. Hostels are good too, and for MBBS students, boys and girls have separate hostels. The food in the canteens is also quite tasty. Plus, we have sports facilities available for everyone.

Admission: Journey into IPGMER stayed smooth, with a clear counselling schedule, fast verification, helpful registration staff, and an orientation that covered all necessary details.
Academic: Our teachers here are really good, they know a lot and help us out whenever we need. What's also great for learning is that so many patients come here. The study plan is actually the same all over India, set by NMC, to make sure we become good doctors. We have professional exams every year conducted by WBUHS. Plus, internal tests keep happening throughout the year to help us learn properly.
Placement: Our college is a really top place in Eastern India, so your degree will get good respect. Every year, many students get selected for NEET PG from here. Also, after you finish the 1-year compulsory internship, you can even join as a house-staff right in the college itself.
Campus: The facilities here are pretty good, you know. We have air-conditioned lecture theatres and a proper library for our studies. Also, the campus gives us free Wi-Fi everywhere, which is super useful. For sports, there's a big college ground and even gyms available for all students. Admission: Process for IPGMER admissions proved efficient, with clear communication across counselling, document verification, and final registration, timely merit list updates, and commendable staff assistance simplifying joining.
Academic: The course curriculum here is quite old, but luckily our juniors are getting the newer MCI syllabus, which is good. About the teachers, they are just average. Some do use PowerPoint to teach lessons properly. Our semester exams are also not that great. They need to ask more practical, intelligence-based questions instead of those old, outdated ones.
Placement: In our college, internships are compulsory for everyone. We get a good stipend of Rs. 20,000 every month for these internships.
Campus: My college hostel has really good facilities. They even have an elevator which is quite useful. Inside, you will find a fire control system, cameras everywhere for safety, 24x7 water supply, and a canteen to grab food. There's a good security guard who keeps an eye on things, and the washrooms are always clean. For games, we have two carrom boards and two table tennis boards. There is also a small playground where we can hang out.

Admission: Communication from IPGMER stood out, with advance details on counselling schedules and documents, regular website updates, clear seat allotment information, and an orientation that eased the transition.
Academic: The teachers here are quite experienced and friendly, which is great. For every subject we take each year, there's a WhatsApp group setup. Through these groups, our teachers let us know about classes and we can also message them directly if we need anything. They are seriously very helpful. Talking about exams, each year has its own semester exams, and then there's also a big main university exam at the end.
Placement: Becoming a doctor is a big dream for many students, and luckily, 200 students get a chance every year here. Once you complete your studies, you can definitely get a job in a government or private hospital. For freshers, the starting salary is usually between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 70,000 per month. If you decide to start your own clinic, how much you earn will totally depend on how good you are and how many patients trust you.
Campus: Our college has good facilities like air-conditioned classrooms and a library. In the canteen, the food is good and a meal costs just 45 rupees. Class timings are from 9 AM to 4 PM every day. The library is open for a long time, from 10 AM right up to 12 AM. For hostel students, rooms for boys usually have two people, and girls' rooms have three to four. There are four bathrooms available for every twenty students. The only downside is that there's no Wi-Fi in classrooms or the library area.

Academic: What I like most about our college is the teachers. They are all very helpful, super qualified, and know so much. You can ask them any doubts whenever, during college time or later on our WhatsApp group. They seriously put in all their effort to teach us. Plus, our course syllabus is very relevant, it really prepares us to deal with patients well.
Placement: When you study at IPGMER, which is a medical college, placement is not a big worry because doctors are basically self-employed. Our job future doesn't rely on the college to place us anywhere. Every year, 200 students join the MBBS course here. After finishing the fourth year of MBBS, almost all students move on to their internship. During this time, you get to work in different hospital wards as a junior doctor.
Campus: The MBBS degree here at IPGMER takes five and a half years to complete. We have three hostels for UG students and one for PG. For girls, the hostel is right in the academic building, which is super close, just a 5-minute walk to the lecture halls. Our classrooms are really nice, with good furniture, AC, and projectors too. There are six canteens here. You can get food at good prices for everyone, students and teachers. The main canteen is the best, and its food quality is also very good. Our campus also has a big ground that is always open for playing games and relaxing.
