Admission: The teachers here are super experienced and know their stuff. They don't just talk at us, they want us to chat back. They're always there to help out, even outside of class. The course material gets updated a lot to match what's happening in the real world. We learn about things that really matter today. They teach us through real-life stories, which helps us understand how things work in the business world. A lot of these stories come from top schools like Harvard and Ivey. Besides our regular teachers, we also get to learn from visiting professors from different countries. The college organizes cool events with industry folks to keep us in the loop about the latest trends and tech.
Placement: IMI Kolkata is top-notch when it comes to placements. In 2021, they had awesome placements, with the highest package being 20.7 LPA. The average package was 8.55 LPA. Most offers came from consulting and financial services. Big companies like JSW Steel, Deloitte, Amazon, Genpact, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank were there for final placements. Every year, the placement stats get better. IMI-K's placement committee works hard to make sure students are ready for the industry.
Campus: The campus at IMI-K is awesome! They take cleanliness seriously, especially now. The buildings are all air-conditioned and have everything we need. There's a library, meeting rooms, and an auditorium. The food in the canteen and hostel is really good. Plus, they have sports courts, a gym, and indoor games like carrom and table tennis. It's a great place to study and have fun too!

Admission: The teachers are really helpful here. Learning online has actually helped us understand everything better. We have loads of assignments, projects, and presentations which are great practice for speaking and using different software. It's been a good experience overall!
Placement: IMI Kolkata doesn't give 100% placements. They have companies like Coca-Cola, Grofers, Intel, IBM, HUL, ITC, and HCL for placements. But there are also Byjus, HDFC Life Insurance, SBI Life Insurance, ICICI Securities, Planet Spark, Tata Insurance, ICICI Prudential, HSBC, and IDFC. When we had to pick a specialization, the placements guy made us choose marketing so we'd end up in sales. Only 3 FMCG companies came Linc, Jockey, and Xiaomi and they only took 6-7 students. For sales, they rely on insurance and loan companies. They make us apply to all companies, even if we don't want to. There are mostly guys in the HR department, but none got HR jobs because they said companies don't want male HR candidates. When I asked about placements during admission, they said we'd get 100% placements in any field. But for internships, it's mostly magazine-selling companies. I ended up paying Rs. 2800 for an internship certificate. They mostly offer unpaid internships. I feel scammed by IMI Kolkata. They took my 12.30 lakh but didn't help me find a job. When I asked, they pushed me towards a Rs. 15,000 job or Byjus. The placements guy admitted they can't guarantee jobs and won't call more companies for us.
Campus: The campus is really nice. It's big and in Alipur with classrooms, IT labs, finance labs, and a library. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Due to COVID, we did our classes online.

Admission: The teachers really know their stuff. They use PowerPoints and projectors to teach us. We have classes and exams to check what we've learned. Plus, we can earn marks by joining in class activities.
Placement: The placement scene for my PGDM batch was pretty good. Most of us got placed, with the highest package being 22 LPA and the lowest at 3 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, PWC, Randstad, and JSW Steel were big recruiters. Almost everyone in the next batch got internships too, mostly in sales and marketing roles. It's a good sign for future placements here.
Campus: The Wi-Fi is always on, and the library is open from 9 AM to 10 PM. There are computer labs you can use during the day. The classrooms and dorms are clean. The food in the mess is okay, but it could be improved. The canteen closes at 10 PM. You can play sports like pool, badminton, volleyball, carrom, and chess on the hostel grounds.

Admission: The teachers are okay, but the courses don't really relate to what I want to learn. They rush through a bunch of subjects in just 2 years. I can't even remember all the subjects we covered. And there are way too many exams. It feels like time flies with all these tests.
Placement: I finally got a job through campus placements, but it took forever to start working. It's weird because once you land a job, you can't try for any other companies. It's kind of frustrating. Even though they say everyone gets placed, not everyone actually gets to start. A lot of folks end up quitting within just a few months of starting.
Campus: The college infrastructure is just okay. It's not really up to par for a PGDM college. Some other colleges have nicer campuses. The hostel, mess, and medical facilities are pretty average. Nothing too special. There are actually quite a few regular schools and grad colleges in Kolkata with better campuses. But the classrooms and library here are pretty good.

Admission: The professors really know their stuff and care about teaching. Whenever you need help with research or coursework, they're ready to lend a hand. They don't just teach in class, they also do case studies that help you learn how to solve real-life problems.
Placement: The placements in 2021 were really good. Almost everyone from our batch got placed after finishing our PGDM in 2019-21. Even with the pandemic, the campus had a great placements drive this year. Some top recruiting clubs came for hiring.
Campus: The campus has awesome facilities like digital classrooms with Wi-Fi, a library with tons of books and computers with internet. Sports lovers can enjoy volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and other games too.

Admission: IMI Kolkata has awesome faculty with lots of experience in their fields. They take us on industry visits often, which is super helpful. Exams can be easy or tough, depending on the semester. It's hard to predict how future exams will be.
Placement: Most students in our college land jobs through campus placements, with about 90% getting hired. The highest salary was 18 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Big companies like Deloitte, PWC, ICICI, EY, and Kantar come to hire us. Finance is the top domain for placements. And almost all of us get internships from college, mostly in marketing and sales.
Campus: The Wi-Fi is awesome and you can find any book in the library. The classrooms are really nice and the food in the hostel is amazing. The staff in the hostel are super friendly and always ready to help. Plus, there are lots of fun sports activities like table tennis and volleyball.

Campus: The campus at IMI Kolkata has awesome buildings and everything you need. The classrooms and hostels are super clean and tidy. They have a cool library where we can join online video meetings from anywhere using VPN. We can also access e-books, journals, and more. The classrooms have projectors and smart stuff, and the IT labs have all the latest software. The hostel rooms are top-notch with a study table, chair, and comfy bed. They keep everything really clean. The food in the mess is tasty with veg and non-veg options. Wi-Fi is on all the time. We can play games like pool, badminton, and chess. IMI Kolkata is doing a great job keeping us safe during these times. They're following all the safety rules to make sure the hostel is a fun and secure place to stay.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and always there when you need them. They make sure we're prepared for the industry with the course curriculum. We go on industrial visits regularly which is cool. We have 6 trimesters, and we have exams every trimester except for the internals. The exams are not too hard, I'd say they're moderate. You need at least a 40% to pass.
Placement: Almost everyone got a job after finishing college. The pay was good, between 4.5 to 22 LPA. Companies like JSW, Deloitte, PWC, and ICICI Bank hired a lot of us. Everyone also got internships at places like Amazon, Nephro Plus, Gocommet, and Outlook. Some of the jobs were team lead, risk and advisory, analyst, and tax consultant.
Campus: The facilities here are awesome! Classrooms have AC, hostel rooms get cleaned daily, and the food in the mess is tasty for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. There's a medical center and the sports facilities are top-notch, managed by a cool sports team. Plus, there are about 10 different sports to join in college.
