Admission: Overview of my admission at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management felt surprisingly clear. From the initial merit list display to document verification every step was well communicated. The counselling process helped a lot and registration was quick. Staff support during orientation made settling in easy.

Academic: In our college, we follow a trimester system. Every trimester, we learn new technologies. The faculty members are very good here. They help us understand all the concepts and also guide us to build good projects. The syllabus is advanced and meets industry standards. We also have to do projects every trimester, which helps a lot with our learning and looks good on our resume too.

Placement: Placements at K J Somaiya Institute of Management are actually very good, much better than many other colleges. Every year, all students from each course get placed, which is great. For this current year, about 50% of us are already placed. A lot of good companies come to our campus to hire. Usually, you can expect job roles like a project trainee or a software developer here.

Campus: The campus here is super big, and the college has really good facilities and infrastructure. Even with the pandemic, our online classes were almost as good as offline ones, which was nice. Plus, we get this online library where we can check out tons of books whenever we want.

Admission: Process at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management appeared well structured and transparent. After receiving my offer letter the document verification and registration steps were clearly communicated. The counselling staff were very supportive assisting with all queries efficiently. The subsequent orientation was smoothly conducted making the initial joining phase easy to navigate.

Academic: Teachers at K J Somaiya Institute of Management are really experienced, they've worked in the industry for many years. You can always find them on campus to help you out if you need guidance. They try their best to teach us practical things and make sure everyone understands the subject concepts well, even if it's not always super easy. These professors are more like mentors, not just teachers, helping us out during internships, after our courses, or whenever we need them. The whole course is divided into trimesters, which makes it easier to handle everything without getting too stressed. Also, we need to get at least 50% in every subject to pass, which is a tough bar but helps us learn things properly.

Placement: Let me tell you about the placements at our college. For summer placements, my batch had 600 students, and everyone got placed, so that's 100%. We saw a mix of big companies and also new startups coming in. The highest package for summer was 1.28 LPA, and the average was 60,000 LPA. There were lots of different roles available, covering all MBA specializations. Top recruiters like D. E. Shaw, Marsh, CISCO, Arcesium, and Jio Creative Labs came. You could get roles like Equity Research in Finance, Market Research in Marketing, Operations Internships, and Human Resource Consulting. Moving to final placements at KJ Somaiya, they start pretty early, in August. Students get so many choices for job profiles. The whole process can be tough, but the college makes it quite organized. They shortlist candidates by looking at your CV, live projects, relevant courses you did, and your internship roles. For the 2022-24 batch, the highest package went up to 28.3 LPA, and the median package was 15 LPA. The lowest package was 10.5 LPA, and 95% of the students got placed. Companies like ICICI, Jio Creative Labs, and HSBC even give PPOs if you perform well in your internship. Basically, K J Somaiya gives us many good chances to grow and grab the best opportunities.

Campus: college has really good facilities, right from the resources for our course. They have everything we need, like good buildings and helpful staff. The whole campus has Wi-Fi, even in study areas and the Amphitheatre. Our library is also cool, with lots of online stuff for assignments. You will find different labs on each floor, for subjects like Analytics and Python. The main academic building, Chanakya, even has AC, which is a big plus. About the hostel, rooms are double or triple sharing and come with attached washrooms. Some rooms face the garden, others the courtyard. The rooms do not have AC, which some people might find a bit tough, but for many, it is okay because Mumbai's weather is not always too extreme. The hostel mess serves four meals every day. Plus, there are medical facilities and an ambulance always ready on campus. The canteen also works well, giving us many options to pick from.

Admission: Organization of the KJ Somaiya admission process felt solid. The application process was smooth online and interview shortlisting was clearly communicated. Document verification went without a hitch and staff were helpful throughout registration. The orientation program was a good start.

Academic: The teaching quality at our college is very good, making the syllabus quite easy to understand. It's been smooth sailing so far. Our professors are really helpful and they always give us valuable information when we need it. Many of them have done their doctorates and have been teaching for almost a decade, so they have a super strong hold on their subjects.

Placement: Our placement cell is really dedicated to getting students placed in every possible way. Placements here are quite decent, actually. My senior batch currently has many opportunities from good companies. IBM, TCS, and Wipro are some of the big names that visit us. For freshers, the main roles are usually analyst or various field jobs.

Campus: You know, the college infrastructure is really impressive. It has everything we need, like 24-hour Wi-Fi everywhere which is super helpful. Labs are well-equipped, and we even have libraries specifically for each department. Classrooms are big too, and they have projectors so we can learn things better. Hostels are also well set up with internet access. The food served in the hostel is delicious, and medical facilities here are quite good.

Admission: Route into KJ Somaiya felt organized. Online application was intuitive. Post interview the merit list came promptly. Document verification and registration were efficient and staff supported fee payment queries well. Onboarding and orientation provided a clear welcome.

Academic: I like about SIMSR is how different our teachers are. Some are really good at teaching, while others are just okay. But a lot of them are super friendly and crack jokes during class. This really makes the classroom vibe good and fun. This is what sets SIMSR apart from other tier-2 colleges.

Placement: In my first year here, I've mostly seen how summer placements work. Around 90% of our batch managed to get summer internships, which is pretty good. There are still about 50 students who haven't gotten one, but I really hope they all get placed by February end. Our college is kind of strict about placements. It's fine sometimes, but honestly, it gets super strict too often, which is not cool. Usually, students get internships in their specialisation, but sometimes you have to settle for a different role than what you wanted. I think we should be allowed to explore all kinds of roles to learn maximum. Still, I'm happy overall with the summer placements. The highest stipend offered was around 1.2 to 1.3 lakhs per month, and on average, students got about 15,000-20,000 per month. Both small and big companies come for these internships. Companies like JPMC, L&T Finance, Citi Bank, Indospirit for operations, ATG Tires, Jana Small Finance Bank, and Piramal offer some really good stipends. For finance jobs, mostly you get sales or research roles. Proper core finance roles, like in NIIF or RBI, are there, but only a few very lucky students get them.

Campus: Our campus is located inside the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, which is really green and has awesome sports facilities. The classrooms here are well-equipped with AC, a mic, and a projector screen. We also get 200 Mbps Wi-Fi, which is super helpful because phone network is almost gone inside classrooms. For studies, the library has tons of books students can borrow, especially useful during exams. The crowd on campus is good, mostly you will find Gujarati students here. But the best part is the mess food, it is excellent! You can eat unlimited for just 53 rupees. This is a real help for students who come from far away and do not carry food; I eat there every single day.

Admission: Stream of admission at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management was quite streamlined. From filling the application form online to final document verification everything was clearly communicated. Staff were helpful with queries during registration making the selection journey stress free.

Academic: Our teachers are the best here, no doubt. Their teaching quality is also really good and helps students a lot. If we need help, we can call them any time and they will support us. Many students have started their own companies and found success, all thanks to these teachers.

Placement: In our course, many companies visited for placements. About 63% of the students from our course got jobs. The salaries offered ranged from 2 LPA as the lowest to 4 LPA as the highest package. It was good that around 45% of students also managed to get internships through our course.

Campus: From my experience here, the canteen facilities are actually really good, I liked them a lot. The sports facilities are also the best, they even make a proper schedule for students to play. Only thing is, students can use Wi-Fi just during the day. At night, they switch off the Wi-Fi.

Admission: Progress through KJ Somaiya admissions went quite smoothly. From the online application form to the GD PI rounds the process was clearly laid out. Receiving the offer letter was prompt. Document verification and subsequent registration steps were efficiently handled making joining hassle free.

Academic: I like is our faculty is super qualified. They have a lot of experience from working in companies. They don't just teach theory; they focus on practical stuff and activities, which is great. The course curriculum is also set up very well and helps us a lot for the industry.

Placement: What's really good at SIMSR is their placement record. They promise 100% placement for students, and it's true for both final jobs and summer internships too. Big companies like Infosys, ICICI, HDFC, and Nestle come to our campus. These companies offer pretty nice roles with good salary packages. For example, the average package here is around 10 LPA, and the highest someone got was 27 LPA.

Campus: At SIMSR, they really focus on helping students grow in every way, not just with studies. Our college has one of the biggest campuses in Mumbai, which is great. We get fully equipped labs, good classrooms, and a library with so many options. For sports, all kinds of games can be played right on campus with proper equipment. The hostel facility is also good here, it is not expensive, rooms are big, and the mess food comes from one of Mumbai's best caterers. Plus, they have 24/7 medical service and an ambulance inside the hostel area.

The counselling session clarified queries about course selection. Communication regarding the merit list and registration steps was timely and efficient. Joining felt smooth after orientation.

Academic: In my college, the teachers are really good, and many of them have PhDs. The way they teach is super effective, making sure students learn all the skills needed to be ready for jobs. Plus, it's not just about books; we also have guest lectures and workshops that add a lot to our overall knowledge.

Placement: Our college gives everyone really good chances for summer internships, with an average stipend of around 15000 per month. When it comes to final placements, they are also very strong here. Almost 99% of students get jobs in different kinds of companies, and the average salary package is about 9 LPA.

Campus: College's infrastructure is seriously good, one of the best in Mumbai, actually. All our classrooms come with AC, Wi-Fi, and projectors, just like any modern classroom should have. Students can use the multiple computer labs available. Plus, the library is super big, and the mess food is also pretty decent.

Admission: Path to KJ Somaiya felt organised. Once the merit list was out the subsequent counselling rounds were clearly scheduled. Document verification took some time but staff were supportive. Final registration and orientation went without confusion making the start easy.

Academic: The teachers here are quite helpful and really qualified. Our curriculum felt mostly relevant, but honestly, how useful it is depends a lot on the job you're aiming for. Exams each semester were a proper way to check what we learned and see how good we were. Only about 35-40% students passed, which shows they were not easy.

Placement: Placements here are really great, almost 100% of students got placed this year. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA, and the lowest was 5 LPA, with the average being 8 LPA. For marketing roles, most people landed sales jobs, followed by branding and marketing. Advertising and media management roles were not many, to be honest. Top companies like Viacom18, Mckinsey, Salesforce, GoDigit, and Axis Bank came for hiring. About 70-80% of students got internships, but many just opted out themselves.

Campus: Hostel life at Somaiya was a really good experience for me, helping me grow as a person and make good connections, which is super important for an MBA. The college always promotes sports and games a lot, so there are many chances to get involved in them. Labs and the library had enough resources for us. Wi-Fi was a bit slow sometimes but still usable. About the food, it was very inconsistent and often didn't taste that good, but the morning and evening snacks were always something we looked forward to. Medical facilities were just okay, but there were no emergency services available.

Admission: Experience at KJ Somaiya Institute of Management felt surprisingly clear from the start. Online registration and subsequent document verification went smoothly. Queries about the merit list and fee payment were answered promptly by the helpful staff. The entire counselling and onboarding journey felt very organized and hassle free.

Academic: I would rate this course around 7 out of 10. The college has a trimester system so we have exams almost every 2 to 2.5 months. Our teachers are mostly PhD holders and they have lots of experience. The course syllabus covers pretty much everything which is good. But sometimes I feel like there is not enough practical exposure and also very few field trips happen, which should be more. The exams are generally easy to moderate difficulty.

Placement: I haven't actually sat for them personally, but from what I've heard, they are quite satisfactory. The good thing is our college is in Mumbai, so lots of companies visit compared to colleges in smaller cities. We see big names like Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC bank, and Amazon coming for placements. The highest package offered was around 27 lakhs, and the average package comes to about 14 lakhs. Placement percentage is usually high, like 90%, but some students start their own businesses or go for higher studies abroad instead of taking placements. Internships start quite early, in the second semester itself. For example, I actually got an HR intern role with Primewise Consulting, a company that regularly works with our college for internships.

Campus: Campus is pretty lively and full of energy. The infrastructure here is amazing, like the best thing about KJ. Classrooms are nicely furnished with projectors and AC, which is great. They are even setting up Bloomberg terminals, which is cool. The library has tons of books, and we don't even need to buy many, since the college gives course book copies from there. But yeah, you have to walk a lot on campus, which can be tiring. Parking spots are also limited. Coming to the hostel, it's not that great, especially because there's no AC. Laundry and gym are there, but they are kinda separate facilities. Food is okay, but it gets boring because it's the same stuff often. Sports are really good here; they even play some indoor games outside.
