At the University of Madras, the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) was founded in 1981. It covers a vast range of programs to support learners to achieve their educational, career, and personal objectives. IDE thus marks more than 25 years of service in the distance education landscape with quality education in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses in a vast array of disciplines.
