Admission: Once I got selected for MKCG, the admission steps felt very efficient. The merit list and counselling dates were announced promptly, document verification went smoothly, and registration was completed quickly. From application to orientation, everything was well-managed without unnecessary delays.

Academic: Our teachers are good, they know a lot and are very helpful. They teach us well because they are highly qualified. Semester exams happen every six months in our college. If you study properly, it is quite easy to clear both the semester papers and the practical exams.

Placement: I decided to take up nursing because I think it's a good field for getting a job after college. Nowadays, healthcare is changing fast and needs more and more skilled people. So, I enrolled for the basic B.Sc. nursing course, and I'm looking forward to passing out in 2028.

Campus: Our college has good facilities. Both the boys and girls hostels come with Wi-Fi and 24/7 water supply, plus they are cleaned every day. For girls, the hostel is open to everyone, but if you are doing a post-basic course, you cannot stay there. For boys, there are not many seats in the hostel. Also, our lecture halls and practical labs are properly equipped, which is good for learning nursing well.

Admission: When I went through the admission process at MKCG, it felt quite competitive because of the limited 150 seats. The counselling process was organized, and seeing my name on the merit list was a big relief. Document verification took some time, but the staff were helpful throughout. Registration after orientation went smoothly, making the overall process manageable.

Academic: Our teachers are good here. They are well-qualified and know a lot about their subjects. The teaching quality is quite good, and they even use projectors in the classroom to make learning easier. We always have a practical class right after every theory class. This makes sure we understand everything properly and gain maximum knowledge. For subjects like biochemistry, our college has enough faculty members. Just know that the semester exams are very tough because OUHS conducts them.

Placement: For Basic B.Sc. nursing in Odisha, there are a total of 750 government seats available. Out of these, SCB, MKCG, and VIMSAR are known as the top 3 nursing colleges, and each of them has 150 seats for this course. The B.Sc. nursing program itself is for 4 years, which is split into 7 semesters, with exams happening every 6 months. Also, the last 6 months of this course are all about a practical internship. Our main goal in nursing is always to make patients our first priority.

Campus: My college, the College of Nursing Berhampur, is officially recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Our semester exams are managed by OUHS. We have pretty good facilities here, like 4 classrooms, one for each batch, and 2 practical labs for real practice. The library is also well-stocked with about 1500 to 2000 books that students can borrow to learn more. Plus, Wi-Fi is available in college, especially helpful for classroom lectures. For staying, the girls' hostel is quite big with 350 to 400 beds, though the boys' hostel only has 100 beds. In the mess, they serve fresh and properly cooked meals every day.
