Admission: The faculty here is top-notch! They have tons of experience that really sets them apart. The curriculum not only teaches you design skills but also how to be a better person. They evaluate us in a unique way that brings out our individual talents. If you want to succeed as a design student, this is the place to be.

Placement: This college is top-notch because lots of companies visit for placements. Design students are in high demand because there are always more companies coming each year while the number of students stays the same. It's a great place for getting hired after graduation.

Campus: The campus has great facilities like A/C and Wi-Fi everywhere. The building stays cool even in the hot Ahmedabad summer. It's perfect for design students studying for four years.

Admission: The teachers really know their stuff. Sometimes we get industry pros teaching us too. And we even have foreign teachers giving us their insights. They keep the courses up to date based on our feedback.

Placement: The job opportunities after studying animation film design at NID are pretty good. Companies like Samsung, Disney, and Cartoon Network come to recruit students. About 80% of students get hired during campus placements. Your chances depend on how well you can visualize and communicate your ideas.

Campus: The Heritage campus in Ahmedabad has great infrastructure. The classrooms and labs are updated and well-equipped, plus there's always fast internet. The medical facility is a bit slow, but overall the campus is beautiful with lots of greenery, birds, and fresh air.

Admission: The course at NID covers everything in detail, but it's a lot to absorb in just 2.5 years. Learning by doing is the key here. NID values handwork over machines, teaching us to appreciate the process and time. The faculty is experienced and connected to industries or crafts. They offer a wide range of courses that give different perspectives. It's a great place to learn and grow as a designer.

Placement: The placement cell at NID Paldi campus is okay, but it's not great for all courses. The problem is that placements and internships happen at the same time, so it's not taken too seriously. Also, not all interests are catered to. For example, students who like crafts have a hard time finding companies that match their interests. Most companies are more focused on industry work. Sometimes, employers aren't very professional. Salaries range from 8 to 36 lac. The education system is unique at NID. Students learn through hands-on, self-exploratory methods, which leads many to start their own businesses. They often work with traditional artisans to preserve crafts and add modern touches.

Campus: The campus is really well designed with different areas flowing nicely into each other. You can choose your own path around, no set routes. All the classrooms and studios now have AC. The library, or knowledge management centre, is super organized and full of helpful info. The staff are strict but really supportive. The whole campus has good Wi-Fi, and there's a gym, mess, canteen, and cool green spaces. The food is pretty good with lots of variety. I'm in the M.Des program and didn't stay in the hostel, but now there's a new one just for M.Des girls. Overall, it's a great place to study and live.

Admission: The teachers know their stuff because they've actually worked in the industry. They have a lot of experience and know what's up right now. The textile design classes are great  they teach us practical skills and the theory we need for real life.

Placement: Most students here land jobs through college placements, about 70%. The highest package is a whopping 80 Lacs per year, while the average is between 9 to 12 Lacs per year. Fab India is the top recruiter for textile design students, offering roles like surface designer for prints.

Campus: I stayed in the hostel at NID campus. It's super safe and cheap. Easy to get to classes on time. The mess nearby is not great. Food is oily and rotis are undercooked. The Wi-Fi is good though, with fast internet.

Some teachers might not be super energetic, but the guest teachers from the industry make up for it. What really counts is how much we learn in the end.
