Admission: The teachers here are really good they know their stuff and teach well. The Jury event is super helpful to get ready for the industry. Exams can be tough, but if you manage your time well, you'll do great.
Placement: Most students in our college get placed, around 85%. The highest salary package is 24 LPA. The lowest is Rs. 20,000 a month and the average is around Rs. 24,000 to Rs. 35,000 a month. Popular job roles include textile design, fashion design, accessory design, and digital work.
Campus: The Wi-Fi is pretty unreliable here, which can be a pain. But the course setup is great! The library is stocked with helpful research books and cool fashion magazines. Plus, there are plenty of computer labs around. The hostel is a bit cramped, though. They say rooms are for 2 people, but sometimes there's 3 squeezed in there.

Admission: The teachers here all have real-world experience in their field. They know their stuff and are passionate about what they teach. Many of them have worked both in the industry and outside of it. They can be tough with grading, but it's helped me push myself and improve. It's like they say, pressure makes diamonds!
Placement: I've seen a lot of seniors land jobs after studying here. The semester kicks off tough, but that pressure really gears you up for the industry. They've got this graduation program that's like semester 8, and it sets you up nicely for jobs and placements.
Campus: The college has really cool buildings with nice pictures on the walls. The food in the canteen is not a lot, but it tastes amazing. They serve different meals each day, and on Fridays, there's a special meal like ghee dosa or chicken. My favorite spots are the basketball court and the amphitheater where they have shows.

Admission: Most of the teachers at our college are from NIFT or other design schools. They have experience in the industry or have been teaching for a long time. Sometimes, guest teachers come from different places to give us new perspectives. The course is really big and cool. You have to work super hard and stay up late a lot. NIFT is like a cultural hub it's pretty awesome here!
Placement: Placements at the college are decent. Most students end up getting placed by companies, while others find good opportunities too. The top-notch companies don't come for placements on campus, but you can always try applying on your own. NIFT has a big reputation, so companies are interested in hiring NIFT students. The starting salary is around 3-4 LPA, but it can go up based on your skills and performance.
Campus: The NIFT campuses have awesome buildings. They're all about design, so they gotta look cool. The students paint the walls, so it's really creative. It's a great place to study because of the cool environment.

Admission: The faculty at NIFT Bangalore are awesome with lots of real-world experience. You can easily connect with them. The courses at NIFT are all about hands-on learning. They focus a lot on practical stuff which is great. In the 2nd year, we get to do a 2-week textile internship, followed by a 3-month apparel internship, and then a 3-4 month graduation project. Plus, we get to go on industry visits and attend guest lectures. One thing to improve is adding topics like Buying, Operations, Advanced Excel, Negotiation skills, and Business Development in the B.FTech courses.
Placement: I graduated from NIFT Bangalore in 2017. The campus placements were okay. Not everyone in my batch got placed through campus placements, but everyone ended up getting a job within 3 months. The highest domestic package was 9 LPA and the highest international package was 21 LPA. The average domestic package was 3.6 LPA, and the lowest was 2.4 LPA. The top recruiters included Landmark group, Uniqlo, Reliance Industries, PVH (Tommy Hilfiger Calvin Klein), Shahi Exports, and others. They offered roles like Buyer/Assistant Buyer, Retail Merchandiser, Product Merchandiser, Consultant, Auditor, Production Manager, and more.
Campus: NIFT Bangalore is in HSR Layout, right in the city center. It's a bit small compared to other colleges, but the campus layout and design are really nice. The canteen serves affordable North Indian meals, and there are lots of other food options nearby like Domino's and Chandu Dhaba. Wi-Fi works everywhere on campus. The classrooms and labs are well set up, with specific labs for things like garment construction and AutoCAD design. Girls can stay in the hostel, but there's no hostel for guys, so they have to find their own place to stay.

Admission: The college jury system might not be great because it can bring students with low self-esteem down. They say their feedback is to help us do better in the future, but sometimes they're too harsh or say things that hurt. So, we should think about using different ways to assess students instead of just relying on the jury system.
Placement: Companies come to our college for hiring. The top salary package is 6.5 LPA. If you have a CGPA of 8.5, you can apply for these job placements.
Campus: The facilities at our college are just okay. The Wi-Fi here isn't great and the classrooms are pretty old. They do have sports and games, but there's no playground. I think the college needs to make some improvements.

Admission: The teachers are really nice and approachable. It's more like self-study because we don't use textbooks. The textile design department teachers are super helpful and always there for us. They give fair grades to everyone.
Placement: The placement situation wasn't great. Because of a new policy, we could only pick 5 companies. Sadly, 4 of the companies I applied to didn't even come. The placement scene was better for FC students. Most of the companies were looking for UI/UX designers and store managers.
Campus: The hostel is okay, but they lock the gate at midnight. The food isn't great, so I usually eat at shops off-campus. Only first-year students get hostel rooms; after that, you have to find a PG or another hostel. The balcony has a nice view of cherry blossoms.

Admission: The course is designed for us to start working right after college, even without job experience. We get to go on industry visits and attend workshops as part of our studies. The teachers are great and always around when we need help.
Placement: The internships are mostly with clothing companies in Bangalore, Mysore, and other places. How well you do in your studies and your skills decide where you get placed. The clothing industry is tough, but NIFT students get real-world experience right from the beginning.
Campus: The campus has unlimited Wi-Fi, which is great. The hostel is just for girls. We have Mac labs and labs for making patterns and clothes. The library is open 6 days a week, and they have an online library too. The food in the mess is okay. Plus, we've got a basketball court, badminton court, and other sports. And a campus counselor comes twice a week.

Admission: The exams are kinda tough, but most students pass. Our teachers have industry experience and are really friendly. They know their stuff and make sure our courses match what companies want. The career center is super helpful with job placements.
Placement: I was really impressed by the job offers in our batch. The top companies like Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Arvind Mills, and Madurai Fashion & Lifestyle offered the highest package of 12 lakh rupees. Some companies offered as low as 6 lakh rupees. On average, we were looking at around 8 lakh rupees, which is not bad at all.
Campus: The college has everything we need for studying - classrooms, library, labs, and seminar hall. The hostel offers single and double rooms, and there's a common room with a TV and games. We have a mess serving both veg and non-veg food, plus a laundry service.

Admission: I've had some awesome teachers here. They really know how to run a class and give interesting lectures. But then there are some who don't get that this course is about design, not art history. They teach whatever they feel like, not what we need for the course. That's why NIFT feels more like a school than a college sometimes. The semester exams are tough, but I actually enjoy them.
Placement: Most students get placed after this course, with almost 80% finding jobs. The highest salary was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Nalli, and H&M hire students from NIFT Bengaluru. They really value the skills we learn, like photography, styling, and visual merchandising. It's great to see these skills in demand in the industry!
Campus: The Wi-Fi barely works here, and when it does, it's really slow. The classrooms don't have much technology. The tables are uncomfortable and have caused bruises. The hostel doesn't deliver what it promises, and the rooms need fixing up. The food in the dining hall is not that great.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful. They guide us in everything we need. The curriculum prepares us well for the industry. The workload depends on how much effort you put in. Sometimes we have to redo things, which can be tough, but it helps us learn and improve our work quality. Overall, it really gets us ready for the industry.
Placement: Most students got placed, around 90%. The highest salary is at least 9 lakhs per year, but it can be more. Big companies like Puma and Adidas come for placements. About 80% of students get internship opportunities. This college really prepares you for the industry, so you won't struggle once you start working. You just need to put in some effort, but everything else is good here.
Campus: The campus library has labs and expensive machine wifi everywhere. The mess and hostel are awesome. The hostel rooms have wifi too. Overall, the facilities are great and you can find a lot of things here. The campus is big on cultural activities, which is really cool. It's an amazing place to be.
