Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and know a lot. They can guide you with internships and getting ready for the GATE exam. We've got eight semesters with sixteen midsems in total. Each semester has two midsems, but only the better score counts.

Placement: The job placements this year were pretty good, especially for Mechanical and Metallurgy students. Everyone got placed, which is awesome! The top salary was 16 LPA, and lots of students got around 13.6 LPA working at Vedanta and JSW. JSW also hired a bunch of students for 9.6 LPA. Overall, the average salary for freshers in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering is around 9 to 10 LPA, which is great!

Campus: The campus buildings are okay, but they're kept clean. There are 7 hostels in total: 5 for guys and 2 for girls. Each year has its own guys' hostel, so there's not a lot of bullying. Every hostel has a big common area with a TV, ping pong, and lots of games. The 1st-year hostel has 4 sports fields, like badminton and volleyball. Wi-Fi is on all the time in the hostels. And there's a library where you can study or grab books.

Admission: The teachers at our college are awesome. They're always there to guide us during internships, clear doubts, or any activities. The courses are practical and have a focus on manufacturing technologies. The curriculum is spot on and prepares us for real-life scenarios.

Placement: Our college offers great placement opportunities with 100% placement rate. The highest package so far is 14 LPA, while the average is around 7-8 LPA. I'm in the new production and industrial engineering branch, and since we're the first batch, we're in our 3rd year. It's hard to say about our placement yet, but since we're part of mechanical engineering, we're hoping for similar placement opportunities as mechanical engineering students.

Campus: The college facilities are pretty good. We've got a library, computer lab, workshop, and various labs for different subjects. Our core branch facilities are top-notch in Asia. The hostel facilities are decent, with regular maintenance. The girls' hostel especially is well taken care of. We have a mess in the hostel, but there's no canteen on campus.

Admission: The teachers at this college really know their stuff and are super helpful. They give us notes for every subject, which is awesome. The courses teach us what we need to know for real-world tech jobs. I feel like I'm getting valuable skills here. The exams aren't too hard as long as you pay attention in class.

Placement: The Production and Industrial Engineering course is pretty new here. It's a 3-year program. Other departments have a 100% placement rate. The highest salary offered is 14LPA, while the lowest is 5LPA. On average, students get around 7-8 LPA. Everyone who goes for interviews ends up getting placed, which is awesome.

Campus: The college has great facilities. The library has all the books we need. Classrooms are spacious. Wi-Fi works everywhere on campus. Each subject has its own lab. We even have Asia's biggest Workshop! Hostel facilities are good and the mess food is better than other colleges. Unfortunately, there's no canteen.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff. They all have Ph.Ds and teach Metallurgy really well. It's great for understanding the basics for GATE. The summer internships help us get ready for working in the industry. The semester exams are tough, and you need at least a 33% to pass.

Placement: I'm a student in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, and I think the job opportunities here are pretty good for the year 2024. Big companies like Rashmi Metallics, JSW, National Bearing Company, MPM, MSP, and Ashok Leyland visit our campus to hire students. I'd say around 90% of us end up getting placed, which is awesome.

Campus: The classrooms and lecture halls are nice, and the Wi-Fi works well. The labs have everything we need, and the library has all the books. From the second year, we get our own room in the hostel. The food in the mess is okay. There are medical facilities on campus, but they're limited, so sometimes they send us elsewhere.

Admission: The college has 5 departments, each with its own Head. Dr. Ghanshyam Das heads Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Dr. G. Rajamohan is in charge of Manufacturing Engineering, Dr. Madhu Kumari leads Foundry and Forge Technology, and Prof. Anil Kumar heads Applied Science and Humanities. The Director of the college is Prof. Path Protim Chattopadhyay. The course curriculum is great for preparing for the GATE exam and also equips us for real-world challenges. Semester exams are fair and not stressful. The passing rate is high, around 95% or more. Overall, it's a solid college to study in.

Placement: This college is really good at helping students get jobs in core subjects. Last year, the average package was 7.4 LPA, with the highest being 15 LPA for international jobs and 13.95 LPA for domestic ones. Everyone from Metallurgy and Materials Engineering got placed this year. Companies like JSW, Vedanta, Cresent Foundry, NBC Bearings, Tata Steel Limited, and Hitachi hire from here. The Computer Engineering batch hasn't graduated yet, so we don't have their placement data.

Campus: The campus has everything we need. There's the admin building in the middle, and right across is the faculty building where we can go with questions. Plus, there's a cool multi-purpose building and a gym. There are 4 hostels - 3 for guys, 1 for girls. The HJB hostel is great for first-years, while second and third-years stay at JCB. Final-year students are in MV, and ADC/M.Tech students have Nirala. Girls stay at KCC hostel. It's all sorted out well!

Admission: The professors are great - they all have PhDs from places like IIT and foreign universities. Sometimes the semester exams are tough because the syllabus isn't fully covered. But if you do your homework and use the reference books in the library, you can manage.

Placement: The placement record is great nearly everyone got a job! The highest salary for mechanical engineering is 16 lakhs a year, and the lowest is 4 lakhs. On average, students make around 9.5 lakhs, which is higher than most NITs. JSW is the main company that hires here. Almost everyone gets internships at JSW Steel and Vedanta, where the average pay is 8 lakhs.

Campus: The hostel is nice and the mess serves good food for a healthy life. There's enough food to meet everyone's needs. The facilities are not as great as NIT, but they're good enough for a fun college experience. They have lots of programs and seminars every month.

Admission: The teachers here are pretty supportive, but some are great at teaching while others aren't so good. They really know their stuff, and the courses are up-to-date. It gets us ready for the real world. The exams can be tough, but most students pass without any issues around 85% make it through without any retakes.

Placement: The placements here are awesome! Almost everyone gets placed, which is great. The highest salary package is around 14 LPA, while the lowest is about 4 LPA. On average, it's between 7-8 LPA. Companies like Tata Metallics, JSW, Vedanta, MPM, and Ashok Leyland come for hiring. Just a heads up, you have to look for internships on your own; the college doesn't provide them.

Campus: The campus has good infrastructure with reliable Wi-Fi and well-kept labs. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. The library has most of the course-related books. The food in the mess can be hit or miss. Medical services are okay, but sports facilities could be better.

Admission: The mechanical course at this college is spot on! The faculty is great, blending theory and hands-on learning perfectly. Paying attention in class is key because the professors really know their stuff. Exams are fair and cover what we learn in lectures.

Placement: I heard that almost all seniors in metallurgy get jobs with an average salary of 9 LPA. For mechanical, it's around 7 LPA. The other branches are new, so we'll have to wait until 2026 for their placement data. Can't wait to see how they do!

Campus: Even though this college has been around since the 1960s, the buildings and facilities don't feel outdated. The hostel rooms are big, but the food in the mess isn't great. The medical services are decent, and they give you a health card for free check-ups.

Admission: The teachers here all have Ph.D. degrees from top universities like IITs, NITs, and even international schools. They're really helpful and teach in English, which is great for students from different parts of India. NIFFT is well-known for metallurgy and mechanical engineering, but they've also added computer engineering and production & industrial engineering recently. To get into the B.Tech. courses, you need to have good JEE Main Rankings given by the NTA.

Placement: NIFFT is great for placements, especially in core fields like metallurgy and manufacturing. They really focus on helping students get placed in core companies. Each student gets personal attention, which is why almost everyone lands a job. In 2023, the average package was 7 LPA. Companies like Tata Steel, Heavy Engineering Corporation, NML, IOCL, ONGC, Vedanta, JSW, and more hire from here.

Campus: The college campus is pretty big, covering 65 acres. But they've done a great job planning it out. Everything is well-maintained, from the labs to the classrooms. They've got all the modern stuff you need. There are four hostels for guys and one for girls. The hostels have cool stuff like 24/7 Wi-Fi, electricity, and nice common rooms. The rooms are comfy too. They've also got a mess and canteen with good, affordable food.

Admission: The professors here have Ph.D. degrees from IIT or NIT. Some teachers are great, but it depends on how well you connect with them. The courses are a bit old-fashioned, but they still work fine. The exams are not too hard just one mid-semester test and one end-of-semester exam. It's all good here!

Placement: I'm currently in my 3rd year, so our batch will graduate next year. But looking at the placements for the next batch, more than 70% of students have already been placed, and it's still going on. The highest salary offered is 8.5 LPA by Crestan Foundry, while the lowest is 4 LPA by L&T. It's a bit lower than last year's highest package of 13.95 LPA, with an average of 9 LPA. The main roles offered are shift in-charge, MTT, and GET.

Campus: The metallurgy facilities here are great, with awesome labs and workshops. It's a main branch of our college. The library has lots of books, but they're kinda old. The hostel is pretty good, with solo rooms starting from the second year. The food in the mess isn't that great, so we usually eat out. They have a health center for checkups, and a big ground for sports.
