Admission: The department has about 30 professors, most with Ph.D. degrees and lots of teaching experience. Our HOD, Sanjay, made it to the top 2% of scientists at Stanford University in 2023. The semester exams are decent, and nearly everyone in our batch passed.

Placement: Last year, most students in our course got jobs about 93%. The highest salary was 18 LPA, and the average was 9.3 LPA. Tata Motors and Aditya Birla Group are big companies that hire from our course. Around half to sixty percent of students do internships at Tata Motors and other places.

Campus: The campus at NIT Jamshedpur is super nice with great buildings. The hostels are also awesome. Wi-Fi and LAN are good for us students. The food in the mess is really tasty, with a great menu. Lots of sports to play here too. We have a cool sports fest called URJA, which everyone loves.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff. They're always there for us, whether we have questions about our classes or anything else. The teaching is good, but sometimes it feels a bit hard to understand. The course covers important topics like electrical machines, power systems, and electronics, which is great. They work with industries to make sure we're learning what we need for the real world. The mid-term exams are tougher than the finals, but there's no fixed passing score. We just need to pass each subject.

Placement: The electrical department in 2024 had a really high placement rate of almost 93%. The top companies that hired students were Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Infosys, and Tata Steel. The highest salary offered was 82 LPA, while the average was around 15 LPA. Most students also got internships, with companies like Alstom, Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, KPMG, and Adobe. They got roles like Software Development Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Data Analyst, and Project Engineer.

Campus: The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, even in classrooms, the library, and labs. There are cool labs for different subjects like Power Electronics and Microprocessors. The classrooms have AC, smart projectors, and working Wi-Fi. The library has a quiet reading area, lots of books, and even a book bank. The first-year hostel has a night canteen and sports area with volleyball and badminton courts. The food in the mess is pretty good, and there's always medical help available.

Admission: The teachers are super helpful and give great guidance throughout the course. The exams are organized well, and the curriculum covers all the important stuff a mechanical engineer needs. The exams are not too hard, but you do learn a lot of new useful things from them.

Placement: The Mechanical Engineering program at NIT Jamshedpur is top-notch. They have a great placement record with everyone getting a job and some even scoring a high package of 21 LPA. The average salary offered is around 9 LPA. Big companies like Tata Steel and JSW Steel come for placements and internships. It's a solid choice if you're into mechanical stuff!

Campus: I love my university! The academic buildings, library, and labs are in top shape. But the hostels could use some work. They're getting better, but still not the best. The food in the mess definitely needs an upgrade though.

Admission: The teachers at our college all have Ph.Ds from good colleges like IIT and NITs. The semester exam isn't too hard if you study a bit each day. It's cool because if you get a grade above 'P', you pass; but if it's 'F', you fail. It's a good system.

Placement: Almost everyone in my branch gets a job after college like over 90%! The top salary is 18 LPA, and most people make around 7 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. In CSE, the highest package is 80 LPA, and the average is 25 LPA. CSE students have a super high placement rate over 95% of them land jobs.

Campus: The new academic building is awesome. Every classroom has AC, which is great. Hostel facilities are good, but the food in the mess is just okay. The whole campus and hostel have Wi-Fi, and it's unlimited. So convenient!

Admission: The teachers and staff at NIT JSR are super helpful, which is awesome. But gotta be real, the curriculum here is known to be the toughest out of all NITs. It's definitely a challenge to get a 9 CGPA/SGPA without putting in some serious study time. But hey, it's worth it because CGPA matters a lot when it comes to getting placements. Oh, and just so you know, the pass rate at the college is around 96%.

Placement: NIT Jamshedpur is awesome for placements. They promise 100% placement, but it depends on how well you do in your program. Big companies like L&T Construction, TATA, ACC, BMW, Ford, and Maruti Suzuki hire from here. The highest package for Mechanical Engineering is 18 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA.

Campus: The hostels are great for seniors. As a freshman, you might end up in Hostel I, which is pretty old, but it has Wi-Fi and a lawn in every room. All hostels have mess facilities. There are plenty of hostels for all the students. Each department has its own labs, and the LHC is a cool spot that you'll go to often.

Admission: The faculty here are really helpful and give great advice for our future. They all have top qualifications and about 6-7 years of teaching experience. The course curriculum is cool because we get to have fun at club events while still studying. The semester exams are not too hard, with around 35 marks needed to pass each subject.

Placement: Last year, most of us got placed in our course - about 95% of us. The top salary offered was 83 LPA, while the lowest was 10 LPA. On average, we usually get around 17-20 LPA. Every year, big companies like Tata Steel, Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Zomato, and more come to hire us. Almost all of us end up in companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, and HPLI.

Campus: The college and hostels are okay, but they're building some cool new stuff. The library, classrooms, sports fields, and labs are top-notch. The food in the mess is tasty, and the canteen has healthy snacks. There's medical help if you need it, with doctors to take care of you. The sports facilities are awesome, with lots of games happening every year thanks to the sports club.

Admission: The teachers at NIT Jamshedpur really know their stuff. They make it easy to ask questions and understand things well. The lectures here are top-notch, just like you'd expect from an NI. Getting internships and training is a breeze. The exams can be tough, but if you show up to class, you'll be fine.

Placement: I'm in my first year of B.Tech studying electrical engineering. Last year, almost all students in electrical branch got jobs. Salaries ranged from 16 LPA to 84 LPA, with an average of 18 LPA. Big companies like Atlassian and Accenture hire students from our branch. The internships are really good too. About 60-70% of us get internships every year. The popular roles are data analyst, software engineer, and core jobs.

Campus: The facilities aren't always open, especially during exams. Wi-Fi can be spotty and the network isn't great. Some labs are really good, but others are just okay. The college is working on improving things, so it'll probably be awesome in the future.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff. They're experts in their fields. It's cool how students push each other to work harder. The semester tests are doable as long as you study. You just need to get at least 35% to pass each subject.

Placement: I'm really happy with the placement scene here. Most students get placed, around 85% every year. The highest pay package is 45 LPA, while the lowest is 5 LPA. Companies like Amdocs, Deloitte, and Genpact usually hire students for roles like SDE, Backend Developer, and ML Engineer. And about 35% of students land internships every year with these companies. It's great to see so many opportunities available for us here.

Campus: The hostel, lab, and library all have Wi-Fi, even in the rooms. Each room has a LAN port for fast internet. The food is just okay in the mess and canteen. Medical help is good. There's also a cafeteria on campus with decent food at average prices.

Admission: The professors here are great. They all got their Ph.Ds from top IITs. They really help us with our studies and activities. They also give good grades in exams. I usually end up with a decent CGPA. Last year, the highest CGPA was 9.3.

Placement: Placements this year have improved a lot despite the recession. In our electrical engineering batch, almost everyone got placed - around 98%. The average salary offered is 15 LPA, while the highest is 83 LPA. The lowest salary package is around 5-6 LPA.

Campus: I love the first-year hostel, it's really nice. They have everything you need there. The food is great and clean. We even have a big dinner every month. And there's a sports ground for volleyball and badminton too. It's awesome.

Admission: The teachers here are really great they know their stuff and are super friendly. They're always there to support you. The course content is up-to-date and matches what's happening in the real world. It gets you ready for your future job. The exams are a good mix of theory and hands-on skills, so they're not too easy but not impossible either.

Placement: Most students got jobs after college, which is great. The average salary is around 12 LPA, with the lowest being 4.2 LPA. Big companies like Amazon and Google hire students. But it's hard for MCA students to find internships. Jobs offered are mainly in Software Development and Data Analysis.

Campus: The department here has awesome Wi-Fi, labs are well-stocked for hands-on stuff, and classrooms are modern with smart boards. The library is huge with lots of books and journals. The hostels and food places are clean and comfy, plus the Wi-Fi is good. They've got basic medical stuff like a gym and basketball courts too.
