Admission: The professors here are super friendly and always willing to help you out. Even the Ph.D. students really know their stuff and are nice. What I love most about this college is that the classes aren't too hard, so you have plenty of time to work on other things besides just studying.
Placement: The percentage of students from my batch (2018-2022) who got placed is 82.6%. The highest salary offered is 18 LPA, and the average is 7.63 LPA. In my department (ECE), the average package is about 8 LPA. Companies like L&T Construction, Infosys, TCS, and Cognizant hire a lot of students. While most companies are from IT, some students also get placed in core companies.
Campus: The Wi-Fi in the hostels works fine. Labs have enough computers for all students. The classrooms don't have digital stuff, which is surprising for an NIT. The library is open for about 12 hours daily. It has tech and academic books, but no novels or biographies. Our B.Tech freshers' hostels are pretty good. The food quality is the worst part of college life. We get bread for breakfast four days a week. Lunch is not great either. But at least we have a canteen with decent food. The canteen food isn't amazing, but it's okay. A doctor visits once a week, and nurses are around the rest of the time. There's an ambulance on campus for emergencies. We have all the sports equipment we need, and we play lots of games like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, and indoor games.

Admission: The teachers here are not amazing, but they're okay. Some classes are taught by Ph.D. students, but the teaching is good. They take exams seriously; if you fail in the normal semester, you might have to do retests in the summer.
Placement: I've noticed that NIT Nagaland has been getting better with placements lately. The placement rate usually falls between 70% to 90%, but it can vary between departments. The highest salary offered is about INR 15-18 LPA, while the average salary is around INR 4-6 LPA.
Campus: The classrooms and labs are really nice. The library isn't huge, but it's got books for all the different subjects and a good study area. The hostel is awesome - super comfy and safe, perfect for focusing on studying.

Admission: The exams here are a breeze, you can pass them without much trouble. The teachers are awesome, coming from both the north and south, so it's easy to follow them no matter what language they speak. Just remember to put in some effort with self-study to make sure you pass. They're really supportive and know their stuff.
Placement: I'm really impressed with how the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at NIT Nagaland has been doing in terms of placements. In the latest placement season, around 14% of ECE students got job offers. The highest salary offered was 7 LPA, and the average was 5 LPA. Some big companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and IBM hire a lot of ECE grads from our college. It's great to see our department setting students up for success like this!
Campus: The campus is okay, but not amazing. I enjoy it overall, but there's no great space for chilling out. The Wi-Fi has some limits, which can be annoying. The dorms need better upkeep, and the food is just alright for meat-eaters. If you're vegetarian, you'll mostly end up with paneer dishes.

Admission: The teachers are really good here. They know their stuff and teach well. They even give us notes to help with studying. The exams are not too hard. If you study hard, you can get good grades.
Placement: Almost 90% of students in our course got jobs. The highest salary offered was 20 LPA, while the lowest was 4 LPA. On average, students got between 6 to 8 LPA. If you're good, you can land a job in a top company!
Campus: The food at the college is good, and the hostel rooms are even better.

Admission: The teachers here are really good because they all studied at a top research institute in the country. They come from all over India, which gives us a nice mix of teaching styles. The curriculum is up-to-date, and we get hands-on experience in the labs with the latest equipment. The difficulty of each semester really depends on the teacher, since they make the exam questions too.
Placement: There are good job options for engineering students here. Around 30-40% of students get placed every year. But if you're studying Physics or Chemistry, it's tough to find placements in other sectors besides IT.
Campus: The college has decent infrastructure, similar to other important colleges. Some departments are still growing, though. Everyone gets a hostel, and the food is okay. They serve four meals daily, both veg and non-veg. The hostels have fans, geysers, and shared bathrooms with toilets.

Admission: The teachers here are pretty good. I really enjoy the math teacher, even though he gives us lots of extra classes. The exam questions are okay, similar to what you'd find at any NIT. Just hope you don't fall behind, because they make it tough to pass. If you fail in the first semester, you could be stuck with backlogs until the sixth semester.
Placement: The placement isn't great, especially for civil engineeringit's only around INR 5 lpa. It's better in other branches, similar to other NITs. But things are getting better every year, so hopefully civil placements will improve too. Companies like Johnson and Infosys come for recruitment, which is a good sign.
Campus: The hostels here are really nice. The food in the mess is good too. They're always trying to make things better each year, which is cool. The libraries and classrooms could use some upgrades though. Right now, the civil departments have bamboo classrooms. But they're working on building more new ones for other departments.

Admission: Most of the professors got their Ph.D. from top schools. They really know their stuff and explain things well. The teaching is great. The courses are pretty standard for NITs, with the same topics in the first semester. But in the second semester, each branch gets a subject unique to them. The curriculum is good and makes sense. Exams are not too hard. They cover what you learn in class. With a bit of studying, you can get good grades easily.
Placement: EIE branch has awesome placement rates! Most students get around 8 LPA, and some even land 8-9 LPA gigs. Almost everyone gets placed, except for a few in 2024. Companies hire from both IT and non-IT backgrounds. Just need to improve skills for internships. Overall, I'd rate it 8.4/10.
Campus: The Wi-Fi on campus is pretty fast and works everywhere. It's around 200-300mbps on laptops and 35-120mbps on phones. The classrooms are decent and can fit all the students, but they're not super modern. We have sports facilities like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, and basketball. There's also a cricket practice net and table tennis. The hostel rooms are big and nice. The library has lots of books on different subjects.

Admission: The teachers here are really nice and easy to talk to. They help us a lot, so I got a CGPA above 8.5 with only 2-3 days of studying before exams. In each semester, we have a mid-semester test and a final exam. Right now, I'm in my first year doing B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. The course is made to be simple, so even if you're not great at academics, you can still do well. It's easy to get good grades and keep up a nice CGPA.
Placement: The placements here could be better if more students tried. COVID messed up past placements, but some smart students skip them to do M.Tech at IITs instead. Local students mostly aim for state government exams.
Campus: The hostels here are really good they're nice and well-kept. Right now, us first-year students are staying in a hostel off-campus because there's not enough space. But they're building a new hostel for us soon. The hostels for second, third, and fourth-year students are in great shape though.

Admission: The teachers at this college really know their stuff, and they make learning enjoyable. The semesters are not too tough compared to other places, so it's pretty easy to pass and do well. Each semester usually has a mid-semester test, a couple of quizzes, an end-semester exam, and some lab tests.
Placement: The placements here are pretty good. It all comes down to how good you are. Big companies like TCS, Wipro, Deloitte, Vedanta, and others come to our college for placements. If you work hard, you'll likely get placed. The average salary is usually around 7 to 8 lakhs per year. The top salary can go up to 12 to 15 lakhs per year for on-campus placements.
Campus: The college's infrastructure is awesome, especially compared to other colleges in the North East. The hostel is brand new and has Wi-Fi everywhere. In your first year, you'll stay in a hostel just outside the campus. The rooms are either shared by two or three people, and they're pretty spacious. The college's lab facilities are top-notch with all the equipment you need. They're also building new departmental buildings, which is cool.

Admission: The teachers at this college are super helpful and really know their stuff. They explain things well and are always there to clear up any confusion. The courses are practical and get us ready for the real world. The exams aren't too tough either, so passing is doable.
Placement: In the electrical engineering program, around half of the students find jobs here. The average salary is between 3 to 6 lakhs per year. Big companies like Wipro, Infosys, and Tata come for placements. I got to do an internship too. It's a good place for practical experience.
Campus: NIT Nagaland has great infrastructure for our course. The campus is big and has everything we need like Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, hostel, and sports facilities. The hostel food is good too. Overall, the facilities are top-notch and well-maintained.
