NIT Manipur Reviews & Ratings 2026 – Authentic Student Feedback

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and know their stuff. They're always there to help us out and clear up any confusion. A lot of them graduated from IITs. Their teaching is pretty good. The syllabus is a bit outdated, but that's normal for most colleges. It might not get you fully ready for the industry, but it can still be useful later on. The semester exams are not too tough - more on the moderate side. Around 80-85% of students pass without any backlogs.

Placement: The placement scene at NIT Manipur is pretty good. Around 70-80% of students land jobs. Amazon offered the highest package of 47 LPA in 2023. The average package that year was about 9.5 LPA. Companies like Discover and Edfora also gave out packages worth 27 LPA. Some big recruiters like Intellipat, Tata Elxsi, Reliance Jio, and L&T ECC hired a bunch of students with an average package of 7 to 8 LPA. Overall, the placements are solid here.

Campus: The campus is pretty big, but they're not using it to its full potential. The infrastructure is just okay, nothing special. Wi-Fi in the hostel works all the time. Classrooms are decent, not amazing, but they do have projectors. There's a library in the academics block where a bunch of us can study together. The atmosphere is nice and there are lots of books to help with our studies. The food is okay, not the best, but there are canteens in each hostel. They have an ambulance on standby 24/7 for medical emergencies. The playground is awesome for sports, it's big and well-maintained.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and really know their stuff. They make sure we get top-notch education. The faculty in our department is always there for us. The semester exams can be a bit tough, but if you get 40 out of 100, you'll pass.

Placement: All students in my course got placed, which is awesome. The highest pay package is 47 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. Top companies like Infosys, Google, Microsoft, Apple, TCS, and Teach Mahindra hire students from my course. Plus, everyone gets internships, so that's a big plus!

Campus: The facilities in our department are pretty average. We have free wifi, good labs, well-ventilated classrooms, and a library with lots of useful books. The hostel isn't great, but it's not terrible either. The food in the mess is just okay. There's also a canteen where you can grab a bite. The medical facilities are average, with an ambulance on standby. And we have a huge playground where we can play all sorts of games. Overall, it's a decent setup for us students.

Admission: The teachers at our college are hit or miss. Some know their stuff, but others are still working on their own degrees. The teaching isn't great overall. If we really dig into the course material and understand it, it can be super helpful for getting ready for the real world. But it's not all on the teachers  we've gotta put in our own work too.

Placement: Most students in my college have found placements, with about 60% landing jobs. The highest salary package offered in the past two years was 45 LPA, but only a few lucky ones scored that. On the flip side, some got the lowest package of 6 LPA. Most students end up with an average package between 10-15 LPA. Microsoft is a big name that recruits from our college. Almost everyone lands an internship, but not all of them pay well.

Campus: The college's infrastructure and facilities are really bad. It's the worst among all the NIT colleges. We don't have good labs or a library. The mess and canteen are terrible too. They don't have any sports facilities or clubs for us.

Admission: The teachers here are amazing! They teach really well and the exams are challenging with deep questions. The activities are interesting and help us learn more. It's great for getting us ready for the industry.

Placement: Most students here get placed in IT companies, around 60-70%. The courses are really good and about 80% of students manage to grab internships too.

Campus: The college has great infrastructure with all the facilities we need. The hostel is well-maintained, and the quality of facilities is good. The food in the mess and canteen is also good.

Admission: The teachers are pretty good here, some are really smart and helpful. But some don't seem to know what they're doing. Overall, they're nice and make things positive. Passing the semester is not too hard, but getting above an 8.5 CGPA can be tricky.

Placement: Placements are a big deal at NIT Manipur right now. They're pretty good. In Computer Science, you can get paid anywhere from INR 5 to INR 55 lakhs per year. The average salary for the 2023 CSE batch is around INR 12.5 lakhs per year. Companies like Samsung, BEL Infoedge, and PeopleStrong hire a lot of students from our college.

Campus: The campus at NIT Manipur is not the best because it's temporary. The hostels for 3rd and 4th year students are okay, but the ones for 1st and 2nd year B.Tech. students are pretty bad. The food in the mess is okay, and the Wi-Fi in all the hostels is fast.

Admission: The teachers here are really knowledgeable and helpful. Even though Manipuri is a local language, the lectures are all in English. If you're not good at English and struggle to speak it, don't worry! With time, you'll definitely improve.

Placement: The CSE and ECE departments here usually have 100% placement every year, but other departments might have fewer opportunities. The highest salary offered is about 47 lakhs. Big companies like LNT, Microsoft, and Amazon come for placements. This NIT is getting better every year, which is great.

Campus: The Wi-Fi in Hostel 1 and Hostel 2 works fine, but the roads are pretty bad. Forget about that, though. Let's talk about academics. There's a 24/7 medical facility, and lots of clubs to join like coding, dance, music, and cricket.

Admission: The teacher doesn't really know the subjects. They just show up, speak in the local language, and you can't even follow. Tests cover stuff we never learned. Only local students seem to get good grades. It feels like they just care about getting your money.

Placement: The placement scene here is pretty bad. Companies don't come for placements on-campus, so you gotta look for jobs off-campus. The college lacks facilities like hostels, and it's not that clean. There's also some shady stuff going on with corruption. The registrar even said they can't do much about placements because of money issues. It's not a great idea to come here if you're thinking about it.

Campus: The place lacks basic facilities and freedom. The classrooms are not good, and some students have to study in tin sheds. Labs are not up to the mark. The faculty is not great either. Wi-Fi is unreliable, and hostel bathrooms are not well-maintained.

Admission: The teachers at our college are awesome! They keep up with the latest tech stuff in our courses. Every semester, we have two tests for each subject - one in the middle and one at the end. You need at least 40 marks to pass each test.

Placement: I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering. Our branch has the best placement rate at 100%. The average salary is 10 LPA. Lots of students land internships in the 6th or 7th semester. The highest package last year was 47 LPA.

Campus: The college campus has really poor infrastructure. There aren't many buildings being used, and when it rains, the campus gets flooded. The food in the mess is not great. The hostel has Wi-Fi though, which is a plus.

Admission: The best thing about our college is definitely the faculty. All of them have Ph.Ds and they really know their stuff. They're so helpful and make sure we understand everything really well. You need at least 40% to pass a subject, but they make sure you get there.

Placement: The job opportunities at our college are really good. Almost all CSE and ECE students get placed, which is awesome. The average salary is around 7.2 LPA, and the top salary can go up to 42 LPA. Big companies like Amazon and Genpact come to hire students here.

Campus: The college's infrastructure isn't as good as some other colleges. The management is working on improving it, especially the food and buildings. They're planning to set up Wi-Fi in the campus and hostels soon.

Admission: The teachers here are hit or miss when it comes to their subjects, but there are some really good ones. Honestly, most people here care more about developing their skills than academics. That's why this college is great  you get a lot of free time to focus on what you love. As for the semester exams, they're not too hard. It's pretty easy to score well on them.

Placement: The placement rate at our college has gotten way better lately. In 2022, over 90% of students (157 out of 167) got jobs in big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Capgemini, Infosys, New Zera, and InfoEdge. It's awesome to see so many students landing great opportunities like these!

Campus: The college doesn't have fancy buildings or good roads, but the natural beauty here makes up for it. If you care more about academics than infrastructure, this college is still a good choice. The food in the mess was average, but it's gotten better lately. They offer all kinds of food for people from different regions. They serve non-veg 6 out of 7 days, which includes chicken, egg, and fish. There's a government hospital about 1 km away, so we can call an ambulance when needed. We don't have many official sports events, but we have a sports field and lots of sports equipment. Students often play sports unofficially, and everyone seems to enjoy it.
