The National Institute of Engineering, also known as NIE Mysore, was established in 1946 and stands today among the top engineering colleges in India. In The Week Survey 2025, the institute secured the 9th position among South India's private engineering colleges and 17th position among private engineering colleges across India. NIE Mysore Courses and Fees 2026

NIE College Mysore offers courses across two campuses in Mysuru, the North Campus and the South Campus, with programs distributed between them. The institute's major academic programs, including B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA, are affiliated with VTU. NIE Mysore Admission 2026

NIE Mysore admission is offered through multiple entry routes for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For B.E./B.Tech courses, admissions are mainly based on KCET and COMEDK UGET ranks, followed by the respective counselling processes. NIE Mysore also reserves a portion of seats under the Management Quota for eligible candidates who meet the institute's academic requirements and possess a valid KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Main rank.

 

For postgraduate courses, MCA admissions are conducted through Karnataka PGCET counselling, and M.Tech admissions give preference to candidates with valid GATE scores. Remaining M.Tech seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET merit.

  • Admission is offered through CET, COMEDK, and Management Quota.

  • CET Route: Apply via the KEA portal, appear for CET, participate in counselling, and report to NIE with documents.
  • COMEDK Route: Apply through the COMEDK portal, take the test, attend counselling, and complete admission at NIE.
  • Management Quota: Apply directly through NIE’s portal or office, attend counselling, submit documents, and pay the admission fee.
  • Minimum eligibility: 60% aggregate in PCM and a valid CET/COMEDK/JEE score.

  • Admission through PGCET (KEA), GATE, or Management Quota.
  • For M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech with at least 50% marks and valid GATE/PGCET score.
  • For MCA: Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level and minimum 50% marks.
  • Seats are allotted through KEA counselling or directly via Management quota.
