Admission: Getting into PIMS was a relatively easy process. Once my name appeared on the merit list, the subsequent counselling rounds were well-organized. Document verification required careful attention, but the staff were supportive. The final registration and orientation details were communicated clearly, making joining seamless.

Academic: Our batch had 100% results, seriously. This was mainly because our teachers were super qualified and knew everything. They really helped us get good marks. Exams could be a bit difficult sometimes, but it was easy to clear them on the first try with their help.

Placement: Our Nursing course had 60 students in my batch. It's nice because all of us got to do our internships at our own mother hospital. And for placements, about 65% of the students from our class got jobs right there, in the mother hospital itself. They mainly hire from there only.

Campus: All facilities in our college are quite good. We have labs for different departments, which is helpful. The classrooms are well-furnished and have comfortable chairs, so studying is easy. Our library is also good, it has enough books for reference. The hostel and mess facilities are nice too. Also, things like sports and medical care are available for students.

Admission: My admission at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences went smoothly. After NEET, the state counselling process was clear. Staff were really helpful during document verification and registration, answering all queries patiently. Fee payment was straightforward. The orientation program afterwards made settling in much easier.

Academic: Passing medical exams is quite hard, everyone knows that. Our teachers and seniors help a lot, without them it's almost impossible to clear. The teaching quality here was good, but I think they should give more internal marks. Because of less internal marks, we face problems in university exams. Still, the training we get here prepares us really well to work as medical officers.

Placement: Our batch has around 150 students. Right now, about half of them are working on COVID related stuff. There's no real 'recruitment' system for us, you see. Once you get registered with MCI, you can pretty much join any hospital you like or even open your own clinic to start working. Roughly 100 interns pass out from here every single year.

Campus: What's good about our college is that Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. They are also super supportive of sports here. The mess food is just average, but luckily, there are around four canteens available. Before COVID, some of these canteens used to offer a monthly menu that you could sign up for. We also had inter or intra sports events happening every two months before COVID times.

Admission: My admission at PIMS was quite smooth. The counselling process was well-guided, and the staff at the admissions office were very supportive during document verification. Registration was quick, and they clearly communicated all the necessary steps for joining. No major hurdles, which was a relief.

Academic: The MBBS course here is quite busy and has a lot to study. It runs for nine semesters, and after that, you get one year of internship. Our teachers are really hardworking and always ready to help you if you want to learn something. At the end of every semester, we have both practical and theory exams.

Placement: For jobs after college, our institute doesn't really give placements directly. But for internships, which are compulsory after 4.5 years of studying, they give us a good stipend. This money is around 17,000 rupees every month. The medical field always has good demand, so finding a job is not a problem at all. As an MBBS doctor, you can earn about 60,000 rupees a month if you work in a rural area. In big cities like Mumbai or Delhi, the pay is even better, like 80,000 to 90,000 rupees per month.

Campus: In our college, the labs are always open for students to use, which is something that really makes us different from other colleges. We also have a lot of sports facilities and a recreation room to hang out in.
