Admission: When I was studying coding and new tech, I noticed that the lecturers weren't super helpful. It was mostly about getting marks, doing internals, labs, and course projects. After finishing my degree, I realized that the environment should be more supportive for keeping up with the fast-paced IT industry.

Placement: The placements for our batch weren't great, especially when you compare them to colleges in Bangalore. But the good thing was we could participate in pool campus placements in Bangalore. Tech Mahindra, HP, and some other service companies were the top recruiters. Only around 20-30% of students got placed.

Campus: The college campus is nice. When I started in the first year, they were building new hostels. I think now everyone can stay on campus. But it's far from town, so you have to go 2 KM for supplies. The classrooms are good. The hostels are okay. The Wi-Fi in the hostel was really bad before, but I think it's better now.

Admission: There are about 19 teachers in our department who are really helpful and know their stuff. They are great at teaching. Our department even takes us on industrial visits. Passing exams is not hard because our teachers give us good study materials and teach us well. The pass rate is around 80%.

Placement: The placements for the 2024 batch were good with about 78% of students getting placed. The highest salary offered was 10 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Cadence came for placement drives and around 85% of students got internships. The roles offered were physical design engineer, verification engineer, and RTL engineer.

Campus: The lab in our department is top-notch. Every class, we get to do hands-on experiments. The library has all the books we need, with great content. Hostel students get tasty food. Plus, we have a hospital on campus with good care. The college also backs sports and other activities, which is awesome.

Admission: The teachers here are super helpful and know their stuff. They teach in a cool, modern way. Even though the VTU syllabus is kinda old, the teachers make sure we learn about the latest trends in our field through workshops. The college sticks to VTU's rules, which is good.

Placement: I heard that in 2021, around 90% of students got placed. The top salary was 10 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA. On average, students got 4.5 LPA. Computer science and engineering had the most placements, and then information science and engineering.

Campus: The hostels at SDM are pretty good. There are 2 hostels for guys and 2 for girls. They have separate mess halls for boys and girls. Guys can check in at 6:30 PM. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, lunch at 12:30 PM, snacks from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and dinner at 7:30 PM. It's a convenient setup for students living on campus.

Companies like Cadence, Dlithe, and TCS are coming to recruit from our college. They offer roles like physical design engineer, verification engineer, RTL engineer, and Python developer.

Campus: The college has great facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, clean classrooms, and a library with lots of books. The hostel is well-maintained with good food. They also have sports and medical facilities. The wardens are friendly too.

Admission: The teachers in the CSE department at our college really know their stuff. They teach us everything we need to know and make sure we're up to date with what's happening in the industry. Most of them have PhDs, and the others are working towards it. They're great at preparing us for the real world!

Placement: Around 60-70% of CSE students in my batch got placed last year. The highest salary was 9 LPA from Byju's, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Byju's, OneBill Software, DXC Technology, and others recruited students from our college.

Campus: The college has good infrastructure and well-equipped labs with helpful instructors. The library has lots of books and journals. The hostel is awesome, with spacious rooms and nice furniture. The food in the mess and canteen is all vegetarian. They serve a variety of dishes in the mess each week, but the food is not too spicy. Great place overall!

Admission: The teachers in my mechanical engineering course were awesome. They were really smart and knew their stuff. Plus, they were super nice and made learning easy. There were 28 teachers in our department, which was the most. In our 3rd year, we got to visit BEML on an industrial trip. It's a big deal because BEML is part of the government's ministry of defence. It was a cool experience!

Placement: The placements at our college were pretty good for our batch. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Global Edge, HP, Alpha Marine, CMSIT, Suprabha, and more came for recruitment. Most students from CS, IS, and EC got selected with an average salary of 3.25 LPA. Placements are better for EC, CS, and IS compared to mechanical and civil branches. I'm in mechanical and got a job at Alpha Marine with a salary of 4.50 LPA. In the previous batch, many CS, IS, and EC students were hired by Tech Mahindra, a big IT company.

Campus: Our college is surrounded by nature, which makes it look really nice. The building is beautiful, and it's known for having the best facilities. Each department used to have its own floor, but now they have separate blocks. The library is huge with lots of books, and the classrooms have everything we need - projectors, fans, benches, and lights. The labs are also kept in good condition. We have a cool canteen where we can get both south and north Indian food. There's even an Axis Bank ATM next to the canteen. The whole campus has Wi-Fi, which is great. If we need medical help, there's a hospital nearby. Our college has separate hostels for guys and girls, and they're some of the best in the area. They offer different room options - some with attached bathrooms and some without. The prices are reasonable too. The mess food is tasty and clean, and we pay around Rs. 2,500-2,700 per month for it. The hostel facilities at SDMIT are top-notch, and they really take care of us well.

Admission: The teachers here are awesome! They really push us during exams, but they make sure we're ready. A few of them are top-notch and make us super happy.

Placement: Most students get placed each year, around 70-80%. The highest salary offered is about 15 lakhs per year. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, and HCL come for placements. And about 60-70% of students land internships too.

Campus: The College classrooms are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi for projectors. There's a library, seminar room, and big auditorium for 750 people. The campus is friendly for differently-abled students with ramps and special washrooms. They have facilities for students with different needs. The hostel is strict but good, and the mess is okay. Not many sports options at our college.

Admission: The lecturers here are awesome and super friendly. They're always there to support us no matter what. They're really great when it comes to projects and they know their stuff. This course gets us ready for the industry, but not all the subjects are super useful. Theory classes might not be that helpful, but the hands-on experiments in the labs are really beneficial for real-world work.

Placement: I took a course where about 40% of us landed jobs. Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Infosys are the top companies hiring from our college. The highest salary offered was 4 LPA. Many of us got internships at SMEC. The most common job we get is an analyst. I think our college gives good training for job-hunting, but not many companies come here. Most of us get jobs through pool drives, so it's a bit tough to get placed.

Campus: The facilities for my course are great. We have all the labs and equipment we need for our experiments. The classrooms are nice, and the library is beautiful and quiet. They even have a digital library. The hostel serves clean food, and the canteen is top-notch too.

Admission: The teachers here know their stuff and have lots of experience. The classes are great preparation for working in the real world. The exams aren't too tough, most students pass with flying colors. Just focus on 3 modules and you'll breeze through your exams.

Placement: Around half to two-thirds of students in our college find jobs after graduating. The highest salary offered is 10 LPA while the lowest is 3 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Byjus, and Wipro come to hire students. About a third of students get internships at Digi-Tech. The main job roles for our course are software developer and data analyst.

Campus: Our college has everything we need - labs, an auditorium, a sports ground, and a spot for cultural events. There are lots of books and computers available. The classrooms have projectors and smartboards, which is awesome. Overall, the facilities here are top-notch.
