SRCC Hostel 2026: Fees, Eligibility, Facilities & Rules

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, provides separate hostel accommodation for male and female students through its Boys’ Hostel and Shri Ram Memorial Girls’ Hostel. The hostels are located on the college campus and primarily cater to outstation students. Hostel admission is separate from college admission, and securing admission to SRCC does not guarantee a hostel seat. Allocation is subject to eligibility, merit, category norms and availability. SRCC released its 2026-27 hostel admission notices and prospectuses in July 2026, with subsequent admission and vacancy notices issued during July and August.

SRCC Hostel Overview

SRCC has separate residential facilities for boys and girls. The Boys’ Hostel provides accommodation for male students, while the Shri Ram Memorial Girls’ Hostel (SRMGH) provides accommodation for female students. Both hostels are located within the college campus.

The Girls’ Hostel has 126 seats distributed across different courses and semesters. It has 62 furnished rooms, with rooms generally allotted on a twin-sharing basis. The hostel is intended primarily for outstation female students, and reservation norms approved by the University of Delhi are followed.

The latest SRCC announcements show that hostel admissions for the 2026-27 academic session were conducted through separate admission notices, application forms, prospectuses and merit lists for boys and girls. Vacancy-based admission notices were also issued for the Boys’ Hostel.

SRCC Hostel Fees 2026-27

The SRCC Boys’ Hostel Prospectus 2026-27 prescribes an admission-time total of INR 57,850, comprising annual hostel charges and security/advance components. The official fee structure includes charges for utensils and furniture, maintenance, development, room rent, security, housekeeping, establishment, student activities, electricity, water, caution money, mess security and mess advance.

SRCC Boys' Hostel Fee Structure 2026-27

The INR 57,850 figure is the amount specified in the latest available SRCC Boys’ Hostel fee structure. Students should refer to the prospectus for the relevant academic year before making payment because hostel charges may be revised.

For the Girls’ Hostel, SRCC states that residents pay prescribed annual charges and security amounts at admission, while electricity, water and mess charges are payable separately on an actual basis. The college directs students to refer to the prospectus for the concerned academic year for the complete fee structure.

SRCC Hostel Eligibility and Rules

Hostel admission at SRCC is primarily intended for eligible outstation students. Admission to the college alone does not guarantee hostel accommodation.

Girls' Hostel Eligibility

For first-year UG and PG students, admission to the Girls’ Hostel is based on merit in the qualifying examination under the relevant category and the criteria used for admission to the course. The applicant's parents should not reside or have a job assignment in Delhi NCR. SRCC specifically includes areas such as Faridabad, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Sonipat, Bahadurgarh, Bagpat and Palwal within the NCR consideration for hostel eligibility.

For students beyond the first year, the Girls’ Hostel requires applicants to have progressed to the second or third year of UG or second year of PG, secured at least 60% aggregate marks in the previous examination (55% for SC, ST and PwD categories), cleared all previous papers and maintained at least 75% attendance in the previous year.

Students are also required to have a local guardian in Delhi. Hostel admission is not a matter of right and depends on the applicable rules and available seats.

Important Hostel Rules

SRCC maintains strict discipline in its hostels. The Girls’ Hostel follows a zero-tolerance policy towards smoking, liquor, drugs, gambling and intoxicants. Daily roll call is conducted at 8:30 PM, and residents must comply with notified hostel timings. Leave requires prior approval from the Warden.

The Boys’ Hostel also requires residents to carry their hostel identity cards, record entry and exit in the prescribed register and follow visitor and security regulations. Ragging is strictly prohibited.

SRCC Hostel Facilities, Mess & Student Life

SRCC hostels provide furnished accommodation and facilities intended to support academic work, recreation and daily living.

The Shri Ram Memorial Girls’ Hostel provides twin-sharing furnished rooms, daily housekeeping, separate washrooms, a fully air-conditioned mess and a fully air-conditioned common room. Residents have access to Wi-Fi throughout the hostel and can use in-campus outsourced laundry services.

The Girls’ Hostel mess operates on a resident-managed model under the supervision of the Warden. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, with the menu decided by the residents’ council.

SRCC Hostel Admission and Application Process

Hostel admission is conducted separately from the regular college admission process. SRCC publishes hostel-specific notices, application forms, prospectuses and merit/admission lists through its official website.

For the 2026-27 academic session, SRCC published the Boys’ Hostel prospectus and admission schedule in July 2026. The Girls’ Hostel prospectus, application form and admission notice were also published in July 2026, followed by revised admission lists and subsequent notices.

SRCC Hostel Application Process

1. Secure admission to the relevant SRCC UG or PG programme.
2. Check the hostel admission notification released by SRCC.
3. Read the hostel prospectus and eligibility requirements carefully.
4. Complete the prescribed hostel application form within the notified deadline.
5. Submit the required academic, residence and category documents.
6. Wait for the hostel merit/admission list.
7. Complete hostel admission formalities if selected.
8. Pay the prescribed hostel fee and applicable security/advance amount.
9. Complete room allotment and reporting formalities.
10. Follow hostel rules and submit leave/other forms whenever required.

Documents Required

The Girls’ Hostel specifies documents including proof of present/permanent residence, marksheet of the last qualifying examination, Class 10 certificate and marksheet, category certificate where applicable and the college admission fee slip. Anti-ragging undertakings from the student and parent are also required in the prescribed format.

SRCC Hostel Cancellation and Fee Refund

SRCC allows hostel residents to withdraw their hostel admission, subject to the applicable refund rules.

For the Girls’ Hostel, if the room is vacated up to August 31 of the year of admission, INR 5,000 is deducted from the annual charges. If the room is vacated after August 31, annual charges are not refunded. Mess charges are recovered on an actual basis, while actual electricity and water charges for the month are also recovered.

For the Boys’ Hostel, the latest published information states that if the room is vacated within 10 days of admission, INR 5,000 is deducted from the annual charges. After 10 days, annual charges are not refunded. Mess charges are recovered on actual basis, while actual electricity and water charges for the month are also payable.
