Sir M.V. School of Architecture (SMVSA) is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and the Government of Karnataka. SMVSA offers 3 full time UG programs, including a 5 year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), which is its flagship course, along with 4 year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Planning (B.Plan).

 

Admission to B.Arch is based on performance in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), with seat allocation through CET, COMED-K and Management Quota in line with COA and VTU norms. B.Plan has an intake of 30 students annually, to get admission, candidates should need to pass class 12th with Maths as a compulsory subject and selection based on a valid KCET score or on the performance college level aptitude test. Admission to B.Des is also conducted through the college level aptitude test.

Admission to the 3 courses offered is based on merit in entrance exams and academic qualifications.

  • B.Arch: Apply through CET, COMED-K, Management Quota or based on a valid NATA score.
  • B.Plan and B.Des: Apply through the college level Aptitude Test. B.Plan also accepts KCET scores. Following the exam, participate in the COMED-K counselling process and give preference for choice of college, for seat allotment.
