Sophia College Reviews & Ratings 2026 – Authentic Student Feedback

Admission: I really like the course curriculum. It's good for future career opportunities. The semester exams aren't too hard, but they get more challenging as you progress. The focus is on gaining practical experience, like social work hours. Most teachers are helpful, but there are a few who don't seem qualified to teach. It feels like they're just going through the motions.

Placement: Around 13-15 students got placed this year, but not in IT. The highest package was 4 LPA, snagged by a girl in marketing. Most placements were for sales or marketing. The teachers also talk about job opportunities in other colleges and companies, so we can try our luck there too.

Campus: The college as a whole is awesome, but the IT department needs improvement. They only have 2 classrooms, but really it's just 1 big room split in two. The lab can only fit about 30-35 students. Thankfully, there are other labs in the main IT building that all departments can use. The gym is top-notch, and the canteen has good food. The hostel is decent, and the meals are okay.

Admission: I love the teachers at Sophia B.M.M.! They're awesome. Learning from them is a real blessing. The course is great - it covers both theory and hands-on stuff. The projects and assignments are like a sneak peek into working life. They're challenging but in a good way.

Placement: The placement cell is new this year. It's still getting set up, so I can't say much about it yet. But I'm hopeful they'll bring in some great companies for placements. They're asking us about the companies we want to work for, which is cool. Everyone seems excited about the chances of landing good jobs.

Campus: The college has awesome facilities like libraries and labs for both Computer and Science. They even have a gym and support sports like cricket and basketball. There are cool talks and seminars to learn new things or share ideas. The B.M.M. department screens movies every Friday from different countries. On Saturdays, experts like media professionals come to speak with students. It's a great place to learn and have fun!

Admission: The faculty at our college is great, and the courses are interesting. But, it's tough to get good grades because the exams are all about applying what you've learned. You have to go to class and study regularly to pass. Only the top students move on to the next year because the college wants high-quality graduates. If you fail, chances are you'll keep failing until you become a top student. Attendance is super important too. You need a high percentage to even take the exams. If you don't, you fail and have to repeat the year. The college is strict about attendance.

Placement: The college has a new placement cell that gives out lots of internships and volunteer gigs. They offer roles like content writer, HR, and social media marketing in different companies, including some top ones. It's a great way to get experience and build your skills.

Campus: The campus here is so pretty, and the canteen is awesome! It's probably the best one in Mumbai. You'll never be bored because there's always cool events happening. The library is huge with tons of different books, even some rare ones. It's perfect for assignments and projects. Plus, there are lots of sports to play. You can chill with friends in lots of spots like the central lawn, marble steps, terrace, and of course, the canteen. The college has a lot of greenery, fresh air, and a really chill vibe.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff and are super nice to us students. A lot of students pass their classes, which is great. They offer helpful skill-building courses every year. But it's super competitive here and the college can put a lot of pressure on us.

Placement: I love how Sophia College helps students find jobs and internships through their placement cell. They even offer workshops to improve our resumes for better chances. It's cool that they work with big companies both in India and abroad.

Campus: The college is in a converted palace and the architecture is so pretty. It's hard to believe such a nice campus is in the middle of the city. They have everything you need on campus, like a canteen and counseling center.

Admission: The teachers in Arts, B.M.M, and Science are really good and they care a lot about us. Since the college is autonomous, the syllabus is a bit different from what Mumbai University suggests. It's cool because we get both theory and hands-on learning.

Placement: The placement cell at Sophia College helps students get internships in different fields like digital marketing and HR. Big companies and NGOs come to our campus for placements. Many grads have landed paid internships through the college. The placement cell works hard and keeps in touch with students about their progress.

Campus: The college has all the latest tech stuff. The library is huge with books for all subjects. The teachers are cool too. Classrooms are clean and big, some have digital boards. To get into the hostel, they look at your grades for the whole year. But there aren't many spots in the hostel, so it's first-come, first-served.

Admission: The teachers in BSc and BMM are really helpful and know their stuff. They teach well. I'm not sure if they prepare us for the industry, though. The college can change the course subjects a lot because they're autonomous. The semester exams can be tough depending on the subjects.

Placement: The college offers good courses like B.M.M., B.A. in hotel management, and B.Sc. There's a placement cell that brings companies like Jio, Capgemini, and T.C.S. for placements. The highest salary package given to B.M.M. and B.Sc I.T. students is 5.5 LPA.

Campus: The labs are okay, not the best. The classrooms are nice and have good ventilation. The library is huge and has great books. Food quality is good and there are lots of sports and games to choose from. Plus, there's a gym on campus which is cool.

Admission: The college has 2 separate buildings for Arts and Science students. Each stream has its own faculty. The teachers are really good  they know their stuff, they're friendly, and they help us out. They give us lots of chances to learn and grow in interesting ways. The teachers are cool and easy to talk to. Our Principal, Dr. Ananda Amrithmahal, teaches English Lit to Arts students. She's awesome and talented. She always pushes us to join events and get involved. The teachers here aren't just about teaching and tests  they support us when we need it.

Placement: The college doesn't have its own placement office, but recruiters come from outside to do interviews and hire students. They also post notices and job openings on a board in the canteen. It's helpful to see all the placement opportunities in one place.

Campus: The college has a gym, a big library, medical facilities, a game room for sports, and a large garden. It's in a really peaceful location. The college is pretty old, but it's great for supporting women's education and growth. People there are super friendly. The canteen serves all kinds of food and it's clean. There's a book center with lots of books in the library. They have a good computer center, auditorium, and audio-visual rooms. Two places to make copies and a book center where you can buy used books and get half your money back at the end of the year, which is awesome. The gym has top-notch equipment. There's also a big garden with lots of plants. The Science building has a lab, and everyone on campus, even the staff, is friendly and helpful. There's a medical room for emergencies. The bathrooms are clean and the classrooms are really nice.

Admission: The professors at this college are really smart and helpful. They show us how what we learn in class applies to real life. They make sure we pay attention to what's happening in the world. Plus, they're always there to help if you're confused about something.

Placement: During my B.A. in history, there were around 30 students in our class. You needed a B grade to get in. After the course, some of us went into museum work, some became teachers, and many went on to do postgraduate studies.

Campus: The college has nice classrooms with projectors. The library has all the books we need. The hostel and canteen are great too. The hostel is really nice and the canteen has lots of food choices. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers in our department know their stuff and teach in a way that's easy to understand. They've been around for a while, with more than 20 years of experience in their fields. Our course focuses on trending topics like AI, app-making languages, and data science. Exams were tough, but the teachers made us think and write in our own words, not just regurgitate from books. We had two semesters with internal assessments.

Placement: I studied Bachelor of Science in IT, a popular course nowadays. Many students are into laptops, creating apps, and learning new languages. Data science, AI, and IT are all the rage. My classmates landed jobs at J.P. Morgan, Wipro, and other high-tech companies with great pay.

Campus: The hostel at our college is awesome! My friend from Kashmir joined for IT. The rooms are nice, food is available, and the washrooms are clean. They really keep everything super clean. Our computer-based course is great. We have labs with good laptops and everyone has their own computer. The software is easy to use and the lab is always tidy. The food in the hostel is different from the canteen, but it's good and hygienic.
