Admission: The teachers at our college have all finished postgrad programs. Some even have doctorate and Ph.D. degrees. They're really experienced and know their stuff. Plus, they're super supportive and encouraging to us students.
Placement: I went to Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC) in Pondicherry. The college had great companies come for placements like Infosys, Hexaware Technologies, Lucas TVS, L&T, Tata Elxsi, CTS, TCS, and Wipro. A lot of students got placed in the 2023 placements, which was awesome.
Campus: The library at our college had a huge collection of 60,000 books and plenty of space to study. They also had magazines and newsletters to read. It was convenient to get around Pondicherry with 60 buses available for transportation to different places.

Admission: The faculty to student ratio is 1:9, which is cool. The teachers are really nice and easy to talk to. In my electrical department, I really like Mridusmita ma'am and Priyakshini ma'am. There's also a strict math teacher called Pranab sir, but I don't dislike anyone. We have 3 class tests and one final exam for each subject, plus lab exams.
Placement: The placement season starts in November and goes on till February every year. Students in the circuital branch have more opportunities in placements compared to other branches. On average, the package is around 24 lakhs per year. Companies like Google offer 1.2 lakhs stipend, BNY Mellon - 75,000, Arceusium - 1.18 lakhs, Move in Sync - 60,000, Pattern - 50,000, and Tata Steel - 40,000. We also get chances for research internships in top institutes across the country.
Campus: My college is really big on cultural festivals. It's almost a kilometer from the entrance, but the library is stocked up well with books, which is great. The tech stuff is top-notch too. We focus a lot on extracurricular activities, although we don't have any clubs or social groups yet. It's pretty cool overall.

Admission: The courses cover a lot of different topics, like web development, android development, flutter, and machine learning. But for job placements, you only really need to be good at one thing. That's why the curriculum isn't that great. The teaching methods aren't the best either. They just show you a PowerPoint and then leave without much interaction.
Placement: During the final semester, we had placement opportunities with over 150 companies visiting our college. The average package offered was around 7LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Accenture, and TCS were among the service-based ones that came for recruitment. The highest package offered was 25LPA, which one of my friends got from JP Morgan. The placement rate ranged from 30% to 40%, despite the college advertising 100% placement, which isn't entirely true.
Campus: I think the hostel here deserves a one-star rating. The rooms are too small for two people to stay comfortably. Plus, there's no AC included in the fee. If you want AC, you have to pay an extra 75,000 per year, which is crazy expensive. The food at the hostel mess isn't great either. There have been bugs in the food multiple times, and even after complaining, nothing has been done. For 200,000, I don't think it's worth staying in this hostel. It's better to find an apartment outside of the college.

Admission: The teachers at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College were really helpful and easy to approach. They knew their stuff well and had practical experience too, which was great for learning. They didn't just teach in class but also helped us with projects and career advice. The teaching was good, balancing theory and real-world application. They used cool stuff like projectors to make learning fun. Sometimes, though, some teachers were better than others. The curriculum was updated regularly to keep up with industry trends. We learned all the important stuff, but we also had to do some self-learning to stay updated. Doing internships and projects helped us get ready for jobs. The exams were a bit challenging but focused on understanding, not just memorizing. If you attended classes and studied well, you could do fine. Most students passed the exams, with about 85-90% passing rates. So, exams were tough but doable with good prep.
Placement: Most students here get jobs after graduation, around 85-90%. The highest salary is 10 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, and Accenture come for hiring. About half of us get internships too. They offer roles like Developer, Data Analyst, and Network Engineer. It's a good place for getting started in the job market.
Campus: The campus facilities for my department were pretty good. We had reliable Wi-Fi everywhere, which made it easy to do assignments and research. The labs had all the tools we needed for hands-on learning. They kept everything up-to-date with the latest technology. Our classrooms were big, air-conditioned, and had projectors. It was a good environment for learning and discussions. The library had a lot of books and digital resources for our courses. During exams, we could use it for longer hours. The hostels were nice with clean rooms, electricity, and water all the time. You could have a room to yourself or share with someone. The food in the mess was okay, but clean. They served both North and South Indian dishes. The canteen had better snacks and was a popular hangout. There was a medical center on campus for basic needs and emergencies. We had sports grounds for cricket, football, and basketball. Inside, we could play table tennis and chess. They organized sports events regularly. The college had everything we needed for both studies and fun activities.

Admission: The teachers here are really experienced, with around 5 years of experience. Each teacher has their own way of teaching, but they all do a good job. The curriculum is always up-to-date with what's needed in the industry. The semester exams can be tough, but manageable. Most students pass with about an 80% average.
Placement: In my course, around 15 students get placed. The main companies that hire are TCS, Wipro, and a few others. They mostly want freshers. The college gives training for placements and jobs. The highest salary is 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA.
Campus: The college has nice buildings for different subjects like engineering, arts, and law. The labs are okay, but the equipment is old. Classrooms are basic without projectors. The library doesn't let you take all the books, which is a hassle. The hostels are separate for boys and girls, but the food is not great. It's better to eat outside. Girls' hostels are at medical colleges, while boys have two buildings. The campus is peaceful and good for studying.

Admission: The teachers here are amazing! They really help us learn and grow. They know their stuff and care about us. They make class fun and easy to understand. The teachers are always there to help and make sure we're ready for whatever comes next. I feel lucky to have such great teachers guiding me through college.
Placement: In my department, about 65% of students landed jobs after graduation. The courses really prepared us for the workforce. Salaries range from 3 to 9 Lacs per year. Companies like TCS, ACCENTURE, and CTS hire a lot of our graduates. Around 30% of students in my department also get internships. We learn a lot about software development and design.
Campus: The college has awesome facilities that make studying and living here super comfy. The dorms are great with big rooms and all the stuff you need like beds and desks. The bathrooms are clean, water and power are always on, and there's even backup power in case of outages. Plus, there are cool common areas with TVs, games, and a gym to keep us healthy. The Wi-Fi is fast, which is a big help for schoolwork and just chilling. And they take safety seriously with CCTV cameras around. It's a good setup overall for a smooth college life.

Admission: I started with Indian defense but switched to NIMCET to do MCA at NIT. It's great because I get the same chances as B.Tech. students who cleared JEE. The academics focus on placements, which is cool for skill-building. Exams are manageable, so there's time to learn new things.
Placement: In the 5th semester, we get a shot at placements. Big names like Microsoft, Cisco, and KLA come to hire students. The top package is 52 LPA, and the average is around 15 LPA. Over 80 percent of students land a job. It's pretty cool.
Campus: The hostel at college is pretty good. The rooms are nice, the food is great, and the registration process is easy. I didn't feel like the hostel needed any major improvements. Plus, it's affordable too. Overall, it's a good place to stay.

Admission: The teachers at our college were really supportive, experienced, and smart. They put in a lot of effort to help us. The subjects we studied were practical and helpful for getting a job. The exams we had were fair and made sense.
Placement: The placement scene at our college is pretty good. Around 60-70% of students manage to land a job. The highest package offered was 17 LPA, while the lowest was 2 LPA. On average, most students were getting offers in the range of 2-5 LPA. Some of the top companies that recruited from our course were Icon, Elite Elevators, HCL, and a few others.
Campus: The college has great facilities like high-speed Wi-Fi, labs, a library, and spacious classrooms. Everything is well-maintained and developed. I liked the quality of the facilities they offer. Unfortunately, they don't have hostel facilities, but they do have sports and medical amenities available.

Admission: The mech faculty teachers weren't that great at guiding us, especially the HOD of the mech department. They weren't very helpful with our project submission. The exams were easy, and going over the syllabus helped us get ready for the industry. But it didn't really help us with building a strong foundation in our courses.
Placement: I was happy to see that 75% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary is 8 Lacs a year, while the lowest is 3 Lacs. Tata Motors and Rolls Royce are the top companies hiring from our college. Around 60% of us also got internships, which was great.
Campus: The college had lots of cool stuff like Wi-Fi for us. The classrooms and labs were top-notch comfy chairs and everything well-organized. We got to do lots of hands-on learning, which was awesome. I didn't stay in the hostel 'cause I live off-campus.

Admission: The teachers at this college are awesome! They are really helpful, motivating, and know their stuff. The semester exams are tough, so you gotta work hard to pass. But the faculty always makes sure we get hands-on experience in practical classes.
Placement: I really like how this college helps students with placements. They organize both online and on-campus placements. Last year, over 50 companies came to our college for placements. And guess what? Around 70% of students got placed through these opportunities. It's pretty cool!
Campus: The college has amazing facilities and a great infrastructure. It's just for engineering students. The labs are well-maintained and have air conditioning. The library is digitalized and has everything you need.
