Admission: Entry into SRM Institute of Hotel Management felt straightforward since the online form was simple and merit list updates arrived on time. Document verification was efficiently handled by staff, and the registration process made joining easy.

Academic: From my experience, our college prepares us really well for the industry. We do a lot of practicals and also get good internships. The teachers here are quite good and helpful too. The college often sends us to different hotels across Chennai to get real-life experience and learn new things during our study days. The best part is, we even get paid for this, and it doesn't affect our attendance at all.

Placement: Placements at our college are quite good, with 90% of students getting placed. I dont have much idea about salary packages, but big names like Taj, Oberoi, and ITC came for recruitment. For internships, it was even better, as 100% of students secured them. Companies like Marriott, Hyatt, ITC, Leela, and Oberoi took our students for internships. So, there's a really good opportunity to get into these top companies from here.

Campus: From my experience, the college infrastructure is pretty decent. We have labs, classrooms, a library, and a kitchen too. The hostels are good because they have all kinds of sports and games available for us. Plus, there are good canteens and medical facilities in the hostels. The university has a really big hospital that gives free medical services to all students staying in the hostel. Only thing is, the mess food is below average.

Admission: Application experience for SRM IHM was smooth, as online registration was easy and the counselling session clarified all details. Staff assisted well during document verification, making the overall admission process well-organized and hassle-free.

Academic: Our teachers are really friendly and super well educated. They always help us out by clearing all our doubts. Also, we get to do practical classes regularly. The college makes sure to conduct exams on time always.

Placement: From our college, many students got placed in big hotels. Like, ITC and Grand Chola were some of them. It's quite good.

Campus: For accommodation at our college, there are separate hostels for boys and girls. They are quite secure, especially for girls, so it feels very safe. These hostels are also very close to the college building. Inside, the hostel facilities are good, and the food they serve us is always clean and hygienic. Plus, the whole college campus has Wi-Fi access.

Admission: Selection process here felt seamless since the online application was easy and updates on merit list and counselling were frequent. Document verification was thorough yet quick, and staff guided fee payment and final registration well.

Academic: From my experience, the teachers here are super helpful. They have good knowledge about hotel management and lots of experience in our subjects. They always use practical methods to make sure we understand everything easily. For training, we had industry exposure in our 2nd year, 4th semester. And then, in the 3rd year, either 5th or 6th semester, we got on-the-job training, based on each student's talent.

Placement: When it comes to placements, seriously, you don't need to worry at all. We got placed in some really top hotels like Le Meridien, Taj (fish cove), Taj (Coramandal), Hyaat, and ITC (Grand Chola). All these big, star-rated hotels came right to our campus for hiring. They guarantee placements, but you just have to focus on your studies; that's what will help you the most. The starting salary they offered was usually between 12,000 to 17,000 rupees per month.

Campus: At SRM, the whole campus has Wi-Fi, so you don't need to worry about internet ever. The classrooms are really nice and modern, which makes you feel good to study in. We have our own department library in our building, and there's also a main university library which is quite big. The food in the canteen and hostel is super good, it tastes just like home-cooked food and even smells great. Also, we never had any infrastructure problems, even when there were heavy floods.

Admission: Admission at SRM Institute of Hotel Management was quite organised, with clear communication from application filling to online counselling. Document verification went smoothly with staff support, registration was quick, and the entire process felt efficient and stress-free.

Academic: Our teachers here are super kind and always help us students. When it comes to semester exams, honestly, there's no need to take tension. It's quite easy to clear them because you just need to get 40 out of 100 marks to pass. Also, the teachers are always there to help you pass, so exams are not a big worry. Because of this support, we get good chances to really grow our knowledge.

Placement: For placements, you really don't need to worry much at our college. Many students from my batch got jobs in good hotels, and some even went abroad for work. Like, some of our seniors are now working at the Taj property in the United Kingdom as management trainees.

Campus: Our college has separate labs for every main subject and we do practicals three times each week which is really helpful. The hostel stay is quite nice and the food there is also good. Medical facilities are not an issue here at all. The only thing is that there arent many sports activities organized for the whole year except sometimes our own department might arrange something small.

Admission: Experience while applying showed that SRM Institute of Hotel Management had clearly defined admission steps. Online registration, merit list updates, counselling, and document verification were timely, and the provisional admission letter came quickly before orientation.

Academic: Students here really have fun with each other. The labs are quite big and managed by people who know their stuff well. Our faculty members are super helpful whenever we need them. Plus, the kitchen staff is good, and the security system around campus is also very strong.

Placement: For us students, the hospitality industry companies mainly hire us based on our educational qualification. Big companies like Hayat, Taj, ITC, Oberoi, KFC, Indigo, Spice Jet, and IHG come here for placements. Also, lots of people from different tourism companies visit our campus for hiring. The college provides really good facilities to help us with all these placement drives.

Campus: What I like about our college is that the teachers are very good and have lots of experience working in hotels. We have advanced labs and modern classes. Students also get opportunities for foreign campusing. The library here is really good, with enough books, magazines, daily newspapers, and even old exam papers. Our hostel rooms are quite spacious and good. The only thing is, hostel food is just okay.

Admission: Process of getting admission in SRM Institute of Hotel Management went smoothly, with organized online application and counselling sessions. Staff at document verification guided us properly, and communication about merit list and dates stayed clear.

Academic: The teachers here are quite experienced and know a lot. Even if sometimes the teaching style isn't the best, the faculty members themselves are really good. The course content is very useful, and it prepares students well for jobs. Because of this, students can look forward to a bright future. I personally think I got a very good education from this program.

Placement: Hotel management is a really good course here, and I think it has a very bright future. Many big companies like ITC, Taj, and other resorts come to our campus to hire students. About 98% of students get internships with top places like ITC, Taj, Intercontinental Resort, and Lila Palace. Initially, the salary is around Rs.1,500 per month, but it goes up as you gain more experience.

Campus: In our college, we have some really good facilities. There's a big playground, good labs, and a nice library. Actually, our library is known as the second best one on campus! Students get free lunch every day. Plus, the whole campus has free Wi-Fi, which is super helpful. All our classes are smart classes, and the classrooms are fully air-conditioned too. The food in the hostel is tasty and healthy, so that's a big relief.

Admission: Enrollment into SRM Institute of Hotel Management felt seamless because the online application was user-friendly and counselling explained every step clearly. Document verification was quick, and staff support made the final registration smooth.

Academic: Our faculty members are very helpful, especially when it comes to getting jobs and internships. They also guide us super well during practical sessions. The teaching quality here is really good. The course syllabus is made in a way that it makes us ready for the industry. But yeah, we had some tough semester exams when Covid was around.

Placement: When it comes to jobs, nearly all students from our course get placed, like 99% of us. Because of this high placement rate, there are so many opportunities for everyone. Big companies like Accor Groups and ITC come here to hire. Students get a wide range of roles too, from things like production to the engineering side, with almost 100% getting some good role.

Campus: The campus at our college has good infrastructure. We have a hospital on campus, and hostels are also available for students. Wi-Fi is there everywhere, which is quite useful. The labs here are all well-equipped. Plus, for the library, there's a separate building dedicated to it.

Admission: Confirmation of admission went smoothly, as online registration and counselling rounds were clear. Merit list confirmation brought relief, document verification was swift, and the process up to orientation was well-managed.

Academic: Our college has really good teachers. They are senior and know a lot, and they always help us out with our studies. Their teaching is also very nice. The course we study here is very useful for our future careers. We have the SRM hotel close by, which helps us get real industry experience. For every 20 students, there is 1 teacher, so we get good attention. Our university also has students from many other branches, making it diverse. We also have two big fests and lots of extra activities for everyone to take part in.

Placement: From my experience, the job placements here are super good. Around 80% of students get placed every year. Big 5-star hotels like Trident, ITC, Fortune, and Novotel, plus all other major hotel groups, come to our campus for hiring. They pick students from each department, which is nice. For chefs, though, they usually ask for a food trail before offering a job. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 15,000 per month, and the lowest was Rs. 8,000 per month.

Campus: In my college, all the labs are really good and well-maintained. The canteen food is also very nice, made by senior chefs, and the hostel facility here is quite good too. But, we don't have any Wi-Fi, and the classrooms are just okay. There are no sports or games facilities at all. On the bright side, the medical support is good. I personally didn't face any problems with the college's infrastructure.

Admission: Registration at SRM Institute of Hotel Management was smooth because the steps for registration and document verification were clearly explained. Staff answered queries during counselling, and timely communication made joining hassle-free.

Academic: The course curriculum here is relevant, that's okay. But honestly, it's too easy, so it doesn't really prepare students well for the industry. I feel they should add more in-depth stuff, like about wines and different food topics. Talking about teachers, only a few are actually well-qualified and know their subjects. Mostly, the teaching quality means they just want to finish the syllabus, doesn't matter if students are in class or not; they don't care. Also, this course mostly just gets you ready for a job, you won't learn anything about how a business works.

Placement: In our college, placements are quite strong. About 98% of students from our course manage to get placed. Many big companies like Taj Hotel, Oberoi, ITC, IHG, Novotel, Starbucks, Domino's, KFC, Rebel food, and McDonald's visit our campus for hiring. Students usually get offered Management Trainee positions. The highest salary package was 5 LPA, with an average of 2.5 LPA, and the lowest was 1.7 LPA. Also, nearly 99% of students did their internships in well-known 5-star hotels.

Campus: Our college's building and other facilities are way better than what you find in other IHM colleges. The medical facilities here are top-notch, really good. But there's no Wi-Fi in the main college building, only in the hostel rooms. Honestly, the labs are just for show; we don't get proper chances to actually learn or work much in them. And the food they serve? It's really bad, totally a waste. Also, us hotel management students don't get good sports facilities compared to what other departments in our college have.

Admission: Path of applying for SRM Institute of Hotel Management was clear, starting with a user-friendly application portal. After merit list selection, counselling and verification were well-managed, registration was quick, and orientation helped ease joining.

Academic: The course here is made really well for us to understand everything easily. Our teachers are super good at what they do, and their teaching quality is the best. They teach at a perfect speed so no one gets left behind. Plus, they only focus on teaching us things that will actually help us in jobs later.

Placement: Our college placements are pretty decent. Top companies like Taj, Park, and Oberoi, which are the biggest brands in hotel sector, came for hiring. Many students, almost 60% of us, got placed in these good hotel chains. The main roles offered were management trainee, which is a good starting point. My only complaint would be that the placement manager was not very good at his job.

Campus: Talking about our college, the infrastructure felt quite old, and we really didn't have enough facilities overall. We did have a hostel option, plus a library and a few labs for our studies. However, the food quality was not up to the mark at all. Also, there were hardly any medical facilities available for us. But yeah, sports facilities could be found and used at the SRM campus.
