St. Stephen’s College is a premier constituent college of the University of Delhi, located in the North Campus, Delhi. Established in 1881, it is recognized by the UGC and accredited with NAAC A++. The college enrolls around 1,200–1,400 students annually and offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in arts and sciences. St. Stephens's College Admission Deadlines

St. Stephen’s College typically opens its admission portal for undergraduate programs in April–May each year, with the application window closing by mid-June. For the 2025 cycle, UG applications are expected between April–June 2025. PG and PhD admissions generally follow the University of Delhi’s schedule, with forms available in May–June and interviews/tests in June–July. The application process is online, and candidates must also register on the Delhi University CSAS portal and appear for the CUET (UG/PG) as applicable.

 

St. Stephens's College UG Admission

St. Stephen’s College admits students to its undergraduate programs through the CUET-UG conducted by NTA, followed by a college-specific interview and, for some courses, a written test. The college offers about 400–450 UG seats annually across BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), and BA Programme. The typical cutoff for popular programs like BA (Hons) Economics and English ranges from 98–99 percentile in CUET-UG. The annual fee for most UG courses is around INR 45,000–55,000. Christian minority applicants have a dedicated quota of 50% of total seats.

 

St. Stephens's College PG Admission

St. Stephen’s College offers postgraduate courses in select disciplines, including MA Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit and MSc Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. PG admissions are through the CUET-PG (NTA) and a subsequent interview. The typical intake is ~10–20 seats per program. St. Stephens's College PhD Admission

PhD admissions are governed by DU norms and typically require a valid UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or DUET score. The application period is usually in May–June, with interviews in June–July. Intake is highly limited, with 2–5 seats per department per cycle. Annual fees for PhD programs are around INR 10,000–12,000.

 

St. Stephens's College Application Process

St. Stephen’s College requires candidates to complete both the Delhi University CSAS portal registration and a separate college application. The process includes uploading academic documents, CUET scorecards, and, for Christian applicants, relevant certificates. The application fee is typically INR 250–500 per program. Shortlisted candidates are called for a 30-minute written test (for some programs) and an interview. Final selection is based on a composite score: 85% CUET + 15% interview/written.
