St. Thomas' College, Thrissur, is a government aided college located in Thrissur, Kerala, India. It was founded by Mar Adolph Medlycott in 1889. It is the oldest college in the Erstwhile Princely State of Cochin and present day Thrissur district. It is the second private college to be recognised as a first-grade college under the University of Madras. It is the first Catholic college in Kerala and conducted by the Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur.The college is affiliated with the University of Calicut. The college has Autonomous status in 2014 and was recognised as College with Potential for Excellence by University Grants Commission in 2016. Admission and Eligibility The eligibility criteria for admission to these UG courses is to pass in a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized institute or university. Selection of candidates for the UG programs is done based on the merit of 10+2 marks from Maharashtra or any other recognized board. KJSAC offers two courses at the Postgraduate level, namely, M.A and M.Com. Master of Arts (M.A) is being offered in six specializations, namely, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Marathi, Sociology and English. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to a postgraduate program is a Bachelor's degree in the respective discipline from a recognized institute (or university) with 50% marks. Selection of candidates for the PG courses is done based on merit, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria specified for the program.
