Admission: I really liked the mass communication course at SCMC. It covers everything we need to know, and the teachers are great. Some might have trouble explaining stuff, but most of them are good. They use powerpoint and videos to teach, which is cool. We also have to do internships after each semester for industry experience.

Placement: The placements are pretty good for advertising and PR students. Google even recruited some of us from our batch. But for journalism and audio-visual communication folks, the placements aren't as great. Some students did manage to get placed with Times of India and The Hindu, but they had to find those opportunities themselves.

Campus: SCMC has awesome facilities! The classrooms have projectors and PA systems. The screening rooms have amazing surround sound. They've got top-notch equipment and software in the photography studio, sound studio, shooting floor, and editing suite. Plus, the canteen serves good food and the hostel rooms are really nice.

Admission: The teachers were qualified, but not very helpful. There were too many students for the number of faculty members. They didn't give much support, and the college felt strict like an army school. The director wasn't very helpful for students who were struggling. They even gave detention for missing classes as a punishment.

Placement: The placements were okay for everyone, but a lot of students chose to go for further studies instead. There weren't many choices for placements, only a few companies came for hiring. In media, starting pay isn't great, but as you gain more experience, your salary goes up.

Campus: The labs and classrooms are pretty good, but the library space is lacking. The college isn't very big for the number of students. The area doesn't have many facilities. There's only one elevator to get to the college floor. There were around 150 students split into three batches.

Admission: The classes at our college are top-notch. We learn AdWords from industry pros, do creative stuff like visual communication, and study subjects like world history, math, literature, and corporate etiquette. On top of that, we also get to dive into journalism, editing, film, photography, public relations, and copywriting. It's a really enriching experience, but I won't lie - it can get pretty tiring sometimes.

Placement: The college has awesome placement opportunities. We got a lot of industry experience from our internships, so we already had good connections. Companies like Redifussion and Rickshaw advertising agency were interested in us. Even Google came to campus to recruit students. It was a great chance to kickstart our careers!

Campus: The campus is a bit small with just two floors, but they've got everything we need for film classes. There are cool video rooms, labs with DSLR cameras, Mac computers for editing, and cozy classrooms with great sound. Maybe another elevator would be nice, but the daily race for a spot in the lift is kind of fun in its own way.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff. They teach well and give us practical assignments. You gotta maintain a decent CGPA to move on to the next year. Exams aren't too hard if you attend classes regularly. Since this is a media college, you gotta be good at writing. But don't worry if you're not, they offer a course to help you learn. Overall, it's pretty easy to do well if you put in the effort.

Placement: I'm part of the first batch of the B.A. in mass media course from 2024-2028 at this college. Before, they offered B.A. and BBA in media as one course, but now they split it. The highest package offered so far is 10 LPA. The college started offering this course from this year, and it's been great so far!

Campus: The Wi-Fi here is awesome it's fast and works everywhere on campus and in the hostel. The library has a bunch of books on different stuff like movies, directors, economics, and fiction. Hostel food is pretty good, we get four meals a day. And there are cool games like pool, carrom, chess, badminton, basketball, and table tennis to keep us entertained.

Admission: The pass rate is about 40%. Exams aren't too hard. They focus on real-world skills, so if you understand the material, you can do well. It's a chance to show what you've learned during the semester.

Placement: I love studying Journalism because it opens up doors to roles like Journalist, Editor, and Copywriter. Our college has great ties with companies like The Glitch, NDTV, Times Now, Filtercopy, Zomato, SportsTiger, and Indigo. They offer lots of internships, which is awesome because it helps us gain real-world experience. The connections with these companies are really strong, so we get good opportunities for placements.

Campus: Our college has a bunch of sports options. There's a huge ground and indoor spots like table tennis and badminton. The food in the mess and canteen is really good, with a ton of choices. Lots of different foods to pick from!

Admission: We had a mix of teachers from the college and outside experts who shared their experiences with us on campus. They used projectors and case studies for teaching. Sometimes, they showed us videos about certain topics. We had a lot of subjects, but I'm happy we did because it makes working in the industry easier now. Thanks to learning about different subjects, I feel more prepared.

Placement: I think the college could improve in getting companies for on-campus placements. It was great that Google came for our batch, but not all batches had that chance. To get internships, we had to meet a specific requirement. If you did, you could get an internship.

Campus: The college had great facilities like classrooms, outdoor spaces, and medical services. We had access to the library, computer lab, and professional studios. The canteen was clean and had lots of food options. I didn't have any issues with the facilities at all.

Admission: The teachers were really knowledgeable and had tons of experience. They taught us using theories and hands-on stuff, which was cool. Even though some modules weren't exactly related to our major, they were included to give us industry skills. The internships and projects were super helpful in showing us how things work in the real world.

Placement: The placements were okay in terms of salary, but there weren't many companies visiting the campus for recruitment. The placement coordinators set up interviews and even covered the travel costs. Luckily, almost everyone who applied for placements ended up getting a job.

Campus: The campus looks great inside and out. They've got everything you need studios, computer labs, air-conditioned classrooms, and projectors. Sports facilities are good too. The food is nice in college and hostel. Hostel rooms are awesome, better than other places. I had a great three years there.

Admission: The teachers and guest speakers at this college are really experienced and know their stuff. They've worked in the industry, so what they teach is super helpful when we graduate. The courses cover everything we need to know in our chosen field, and we also learn a lot about other areas of mass communication.

Placement: The college has good placement opportunities. Big companies like Google and Glitch come for advertising and public relations roles. Journalism students land jobs in top media houses like Times of India, Times Now, Republic TV, NDTV, and Outlook. Audio-visual students get placed in production houses like Excel and YouTube channels such as Filter Copy and Film Companion.

Campus: The college has awesome facilities like soundproof screening rooms, computer labs, audio-graphics labs, and editing cubes for film projects. You can get hands-on experience with expensive cameras and lenses for photography and videography. It's a great way to learn about the technical stuff you need for the industry.

Admission: The teachers were really helpful and always there for us when we needed guidance. They used projectors for teaching theory and shared case studies with us. Guest faculty also came to campus to share their experiences. The curriculum was busy but really helpful.

Placement: By the end of our course, everyone found a job. Even though not many companies visited our campus, the college arranged interviews off-campus and helped us get placed. Some students got job offers before graduating, while others used their own connections. We had a total of five internships 2 at NGOs, 1 in CSR, and the last 2 in different industries.

Campus: The college had everything we needed - photography studio, editing suite, computer lab, screening rooms, sports facilities, gym, medical room, and more. Everything was kept in good shape, so I had no issues with that. Food in the hostel and college was pretty decent too.

Placement: Most of us in our batch got jobs after college. The highest salary was 5.25 LPA, average was 3 LPA, and the lowest was 1.5 LPA. Big companies like Google, Leo Burnett, TBWA, and Grey Advertising hired students. Popular roles were advertising executive and associate content strategist. Nearly everyone landed internships at places like MullenLowe Lintas and Ogilvy.
