Academic: Teachers are really helpful and they know their subjects well. They also make sure we get good practical knowledge, not just book stuff. What's cool is that the curriculum is very modern, always updated with what companies are looking for now. We don't learn any old, useless things. But yeah, semester exams are a bit hard, so you can't just study last minute. You have to put in effort.

Placement: Last year, our college placements were really strong. About 90% of students from the previous batch got good job offers, and most of them landed SDE (Software Development Engineer) roles. Top companies like Apple, Brain, BlackRock, and Deloitte came for hiring. These companies usually pick fewer students, but the ones they do select get really good salary packages.

Campus: At Thapar University, the architecture is really top-notch, you know. Our hostels are like, the best, and the classrooms are always super clean and well maintained. What's also great is the campus usually stays calm and peaceful, even with all the different fests and events happening throughout the year.

Academic: The teachers here are really good, very professional and they always help us out. We do have labs and practical classes that are super helpful; they really make us understand the course material deeply. Sometimes, the syllabus feels a bit old-fashioned, not totally updated for what's needed now. But no worries, by the time we finish, everyone is pretty much ready for the industry. Semester exams are usually okay, sometimes a bit tough.

Placement: For job placements, our college does pretty well. More than half the students in our course find jobs. We see many big companies visiting, like Wipro, IBM, Samsung, DE Shaw & Co, Oracle, Microsoft, and Siemens, which is great. The highest salary someone got was 39 LPA, while the lowest was 16 LPA. On average, students got around 19 LPA. Plus, lots of students got internships with stipends over Rs. 25,000, and sometimes, the stipend went as high as 1.5 Lacs, which is really good. It seems like these numbers are increasing every year.

Campus: Our college has a lot of good facilities for students. There are 16 hostels and most of them have AC, which is really nice. The mess food is pretty good there, and you also get laundry, cleaning services, a gym, and even a night canteen in the hostels. For studying, the classrooms are good and mostly air-conditioned. We also get free wi-fi in all the academic areas and inside the hostels. The Nalanda Central Library is super big, like five floors, and it's fully air-conditioned with modern tech. For research, our college has world-class labs like the antenna research lab, intelligent sensors lab, MEMS research lab, optical fibre communication research lab, smart autonomous electric vehicle lab, Thapsat research lab, and wireless communication lab. Plus, there is a proper health centre on campus with a doctor available all the time.

Admission: Support during the Thapar admission journey stood out, as pre admission queries were handled promptly, orientation details were informative, and guidance from application to enrolment stayed consistent.

Academic: Our college has a really good curriculum which helps students keep their study load balanced. Because of this, we don't have to compromise on our college life and can enjoy it properly. Plus, they give us enough time both before and after exams. So, students don't feel super stressed out. Everyone feels pretty content with the time given, making it easy to study.

Placement: From my experience, the campus placements are quite decent. The average salary package is around 15 LPA. Getting a campus placement isn't too hard if you have good skills and get the right advice. Plus, our good faculty really help out; their mentorship can get you good referrals and recommendations, which makes finding a job much, much simpler.

Campus: About our college hostels and mess, everything is quite good. Sodexo manages the mess services, and they do a great job. Hostels are also well-maintained. The rooms are just the right size, not too small or big. Staff cleans them regularly. Plus, the food in the mess is very hygienic and tastes good too, they dont compromise on that.

Academic: I like about our college is how good the teachers are. They really help a lot with project work. But yeah, it's on you to reach out to them if you need their guidance. The course content is super relevant; if you study all topics in detail, you'll definitely be ready for the industry. Speaking of exams, the semester ones are generally medium level, sometimes they can be hard too.

Placement: I'm in my second year right now, studying AIML, and my batch of 120 students will finish in 2028. Many companies come for campus hiring, like Nvidia, Google, Apple, and Microsoft, along with others. The placements are quite strong, with nearly 90% of students getting placed. Some even get a really high package, up to 3 crore per annum, while the lowest is still good, around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. For us second-year students, getting a summer internship is a big thing, and most of us actually manage to do one. After graduation, top roles like data scientist and ML engineering are common for our branch.

Campus: My college has really good infrastructure overall. The library is very big and looks nice. We get good Wi-Fi everywhere on campus too. Labs also have excellent facilities. The hostels are great, no complaints there. But honestly, the mess food is not that great. On the bright side, medical facilities are top-notch; you can get an emergency ambulance whenever it's needed.

Academic: Course curriculum is super relevant for the industry, so it will definitely help in future. When it comes to teachers, they are quite knowledgeable and well qualified, but a few of them could improve their teaching style. Semester exams are not too hard; studying just one or two hours daily is enough to get really good marks. You just need 35% to pass.

Placement: From what I see, our college gets good companies, especially from the VLSI field. They often hire for design engineer jobs, and some also get roles like testing engineer or basic engineer. The pay for top companies is pretty good, like 16 to 18 LPA. My specific course, though, hasn't seen any placements yet since our batch is the very first one to pass out.

Campus: From my experience, the facilities here are really great, probably one of the best if you compare with other colleges. We have fully AC classrooms and even the biggest library in India, which is awesome. Wi-Fi is there in every single block. Hostels are also top-notch, they provide really good facilities. For food, the mess is quite reasonable, and if you need medical help, it's just a call away. There's a gym available too for everyone to use.

Academic: Our teachers are mostly quite knowledgeable and really good at what they teach. Though, some teachers have teaching methods that are not that great, so we students often have to look for other resources to understand things better. The course for the first year covers all subjects, and after that, the syllabus is very well planned to help us get high-paying jobs. It's a bit tough, no doubt. Exams here are graded using a percentile system, which means it's relative grading. With so many students, the pass/fail rate varies, but a lot of students end up with over 7.5 CGPA on average.

Placement: About placements in my Computer Science Engineering course, it's quite good. For the 24-25 batch, even in the first year, about 450 students already got placed. The biggest salary was 52 LPA, with the average package being 18 LPA and median 5.94 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amex, Expedia, Texas Instruments, Apple, Infosys, and TCS came to hire. They offered various jobs like SDE, analyst, consulting, and data analysis. If we look at the whole computer engineering branch, 818 students found internships and 462 students secured placements.

Campus: Our classrooms are pretty good, super spacious with proper AC. The Wi-Fi works well all over the campus. The library is also amazing, it's really big and has all sorts of books with comfy places to sit and study quietly. You need your library card to get in, and they have strict rules, like no eating inside, which keeps it peaceful for everyone. Hostels are nice too, but facilities change a bit depending on which hostel you get. Each hostel has its own mess that serves good quality food. You can find rooms with or without AC. Plus, there's a small canteen inside the mess for evening snacks. For chilling, hostels also have chess, table tennis, and carrom. The rooms are always well-maintained, and you can pick between 2, 3, or 4 person sharing options based on the hostel.

Academic: Thapar has a very modern curriculum and they update the syllabus as needed, which is good. For semester exams, it's not too hard to pass or even get a good score. If you study just a week before, you can easily get above 8 CGPA, and the pass percentage is actually pretty high. Most of our professors are really qualified. But, a few of the PhD teachers struggle to explain things clearly. So, sometimes we end up mostly studying from the PPTs they give us, regardless of how good the professor is otherwise.

Placement: About placements at our college, we have some really good companies visiting us. Big names like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, IBM, JP Morgan Chase, L&T, Cisco, Samsung, Reliance, Zomato, and Edelweiss recruit from Thapar. The highest package went up to 45 LPA, which is quite impressive. For an average student, the package is around 15 LPA, and even the lowest for COE students is 8 LPA. About 70% of students usually get placed here. Also, for internships, 40% of us get on-campus opportunities.

Campus: What I really like about Thapar is its amazing sports culture. We have so many sports here like basketball, cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, swimming, yoga, chess, and athletics, and they give coaches for each one. Plus, the library is super big and looks very beautiful, with all kinds of books for B.Tech, law, or even civil services studies. Campus Wi-Fi is super good everywhere, even in the hostels. Our labs are great with all new machines. Hostels are nice too, with AC and joint washrooms, and the mess food is quite tasty. And if anyone needs medical help, there's a free healthcare center with good doctors, and an ambulance is always there 24x7.

Academic: Semester exams here are actually not that tough. Honestly, if you just study like 3-4 days before, you can clear them easily, since passing only needs 34%. Our college teaching quality is pretty good, I think it's better than what you find in other places. Now, about the teachers, some are really helpful and nice, but yeah, some can be a bit rude sometimes. The course stuff they teach is relevant to studies, but for interviews, it doesn't really match up, which is a bit of a problem.

Placement: Almost all students here, like 98% of us, manage to get internships. Many students actually get their internships off-campus, with companies such as Jacobs, Emphasis, and Taxes. When it comes to placements, about 40% of the students get placed. The highest salary someone got was 25 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Big companies like Google and TCS come for hiring here. Most of the time, the main role offered is a software developer.

Campus: Our college has really good facilities, which I think is the best part. We have the Nava Nalanda library, which is counted among the top 3 libraries in India. You also get super-fast 5G+ Wi-Fi network all over the campus. The hostel food here is the best in Thapar, so you don't even need to visit the canteen. For medical emergencies, there is a big hospital right within the campus. Also, there are many playgrounds dedicated to different games.

Academic: Our teachers are really good and they make sure we get practical knowledge. The semester exams are quite difficult here though, so I think you need to work both hard and smart to handle them.

Placement: My course is Computer Science Engineering, and everyone says it's the best branch. For placements, the highest package went up to 55 LPA, with good companies coming to recruit. From what seniors told us, the competition is pretty tough here, so we really need to become experts in our field and also focus on our overall development.

Campus: Our college infrastructure is really good, it's very clean and properly maintained. You'll find Wi-Fi available throughout the whole building, which is super convenient. The library here is great, looks very beautiful, and our labs are always well-kept with all the equipment we need. For health stuff, we have all medical facilities available. And talking about food, the mess food is always delicious and they make sure to keep it hygienic. For games, we have everything you can imagine, from table tennis right up to swimming. It's a solid campus!

Academic: Course I'm doing has a really good mix of electrical and computer subjects. This balance is super helpful for interviews and getting us ready for industry jobs. Our teachers here teach quite well, and they are always available to help us with doubts about our subjects, though not late at night. Exams can be tough, but we get old question papers on the Thapar site to practice from. Also, everyone has to maintain 75% attendance here.

Placement: Our college has pretty good placements, with the highest package reaching 20 LPA and the average salary being 8 LPA. JP Morgan is one of the top recruiters here. For internships, around 70% of students from my course get them, even from big tech companies like Microsoft. In my course, there are 250 students, which makes up about 8-9% of all students in the college.

Campus: Our labs are really good and have all the stuff we need for projects and experiments. Every classroom in my college also gets Wi-Fi and AC. When it comes to hostels, students can pick from many choices like 4-seater, 3-seater, 2-seater, or even single rooms. The mess food is from Sodexo, a company from France, and they give good and clean food. Medical help is also good here, with an ambulance always there 24/7. And we also have a big sports event every year.
