Tripura University offers fully computerized, internet-enabled hostel facilities to its students across all countries and backgrounds, unbiased. Currently, there are two hostels — one for women with a capacity of 60 seats and one for men with 110 seats. Additionally, two more hostel buildings with separate rooms and attached bathrooms, each accommodating 50 research scholars, are available.

In the academic year 2025-26, the university hostel fees for applicants from India include a caution money of INR 2,000 for all categories of students. Applicants for the UG/PG hostel will pay hostel fees of INR 3,000 for the UR/Others category, and INR 2,000 for the SC/ST category. Ph.D. hostel applicants will pay INR 2,400 for the UR/Others category and INR 1,800 for the SC/ST category. In addition to the hostel fees, there is a mess fee of INR 12,000 per semester, and all boarders will pay INR 500 for electricity.
