Admission: Applying to UCET felt organized from the start. Merit list access was simple, counselling rounds were smooth, and document verification was handled patiently by staff. Registration was quick, and orientation covered all the basics nicely.

Academic: I really like about this college is the amazing teaching staff. They are super smart, know their stuff, and always help us students. You can easily talk to them about any issue, and they will help you find a solution. Our course structure is also very well planned. It really prepares us to be ready for the industry. Exams for each semester happen on time, and they are not too easy, usually medium to hard. About 35% of students pass these exams every time.

Placement: Most students here have to work hard to find jobs because our college's placement department is not very strong. They don't bring many companies to campus for placements, so getting a job through college is quite difficult. Because of this, students mainly focus on competitive exams or finding jobs off-campus. Roughly 30 to 35 students get placed outside the campus every year. The average salary package you can expect is 6 lakh rupees from companies like TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini.

Campus: You look at our college, the facilities and infrastructure are really not up to the mark. Only the library is fine, but for most other things, we feel they are missing. The main building itself is not kept well, and inside, the classrooms and labs lack basic amenities. It's a big problem that there's no Wi-Fi anywhere on campus. Even our only student club, the Relish Club, is shut down because of some issues and no funds. This means no fun activities or sports happen here at all. For food, we don't have a canteen in our college building, but students can use the canteen at the main campus of Vinoba Bhave University.

Admission: From the beginning, UCET�s admission steps felt clear. The online application was smooth, verification at the college didn�t cause issues, and staff were approachable for any registration-related questions. Communication around counselling dates helped a lot.

Academic: Our teachers are very experienced and know their subjects well. They are also super helpful and always there if you need support. The college uses the latest technology for teaching, which prepares us well for the job market. Semester exams are pretty easy, but you still have to study hard to pass and score a good CGPA.

Placement: Talking about placements, it's a bit tough for computer science students because not many tech companies come here to hire. But for other branches, things are quite good; around 90% of students get placed. Companies like Tata Steel often hire from our college. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest one was 3 LPA.

Campus: The facilities here are quite good, I must say. The labs are really well set up, with all the latest technology. For the syllabus, it's pretty much the same as what you'd find in other engineering colleges. Girls have a hostel right inside the campus, which is good. But for boys, there's no hostel on campus itself, though you can easily find many other hostels and flats outside.

Admission: My admission at UCET was pretty straightforward. After checking the merit list, the counselling process was clear. Document verification happened smoothly, and the staff were helpful during registration. The initial orientation session was also informative.

Academic: I really like is how good our college teachers are. Some of them come from the state government, and some are from the university. The college also brings in teachers, and then there are others from TEQIP, which is a program from the central government.

Placement: The teachers at our college are really good, many of them have PhD and M.Tech degrees, and some even came from IITs or NITs. These faculty members work hard to make sure students are ready for the best companies and big institutions. That's why this college is great for students who want to prepare for government exams, get good jobs, or learn extra skills. Preparing for the GATE exam is also a top priority here. Our college has always been good at helping students grow and build a good future for themselves over the years.

Campus: Our college campus has really good infrastructure, which kind of shows its standing. The girl's hostel is super nice, very remarkable. But, the boy's hostel is a bit of a worry, as most boys end up in private hostels. Inside the hostels, you get many facilities like geysers, fridges, fans, and a study desk for every student. Security is also very good here; we always have security guards around, so no issues there. Plus, the whole campus is well-equipped with grounds, canteens, parks, and even a pond.

Admission: Joining UCET felt efficient. The merit list announcement was timely, counselling sessions were structured, verification staff explained everything patiently, and final registration didn�t take much time.

Academic: The permanent teachers at our college, honestly, they don't know much. If you ask them even basic electronics questions, they just try to avoid answering. It's the TEQIP faculty who are actually good; they are making things better for the college and handling academics very well. Our course syllabus is just like other engineering colleges, with way more theory than practical stuff. It really needs to be updated, not just for us, but for all colleges across India.

Placement: From my batch, 2017-2021, the placements were not that great actually. Less than 40% of students even got placed. The companies offered very low salary packages, mostly around 2.5-3 LPA. This low package was a big reason why most of us didn't even bother to register for placements. The highest someone got was 3.2 LPA, with the lowest being 1.8 LPA, and the average was just 2.2 LPA. You know, it was lockdown time back then, so all the IT companies were hiring online only. The main company that came was Pelican Pvt. Limited, which is in Rajasthan. We also tried for off-campus jobs at Wipro, Infosys, and TCS because we thought they would give us better exposure. One surprising thing was none of my friends from the batch did any internships. Many were busy with different competitions, while others were thinking of getting internships at places like IIMs or IITs. As an ECE student, most of the jobs offered were for sales manager or technician roles, which was not really what we wanted.

Campus: Even though our college facilities are said to be improving every year, honestly, they are still not up to the mark. When you enter, it kind of feels like a school; my old Kendriya Vidyalaya was almost three times bigger than this place. They do raise funds for infrastructure yearly, but still, we see slow progress. For example, Wi-Fi is available, but after you log in, you can only use 32 Mb, which isn't much. Lifts are also there, but guess what, they are still under construction. I remember in 2017, during my first year, we were told a 7-storey building would be ready in a year. Later, I found out students from the 2015 batch heard the same promise. Our campus only has girls hostels, no boys hostel inside. But outside, very close to VBU main GATE, there are plenty of affordable lodges and PGs with average facilities, and most offer mess food. We don't have our own college canteen; everyone uses Aahar, which is the common VBU canteen. And if you get sick, the college sick room only has bandages and paracetamol to help. We also don't have our own playground, so we use the university ground. Still, students who play sports like basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, and badminton do visit other colleges for championships. Like, we represented our college playing basketball at Vajra in BIT Mesra.

Admission: My UCET admission journey was fairly smooth. Counselling after the merit list was clear, verification was systematic, and staff support during registration made things easy. Orientation added helpful clarity.

Academic: At our college, the teachers are really good. They're qualified and teach students very well, so you can totally trust them for your studies. But, honestly, the placement cell is still quite bad and pathetic.

Placement: Talking about placements, honestly, very few companies actually visit our college through the placement cell. That's why you won't find any super great or 'fairy' type job offers here. Our teachers really need to discuss with the management what all things are required to make students ready for jobs. Hopefully, if they do that, some good companies might start coming to our college.

Campus: What I feel about this college is that the infrastructure is really bad. Our college should use the money from the government for us students and to improve the campus. The management is also very poor at giving good facilities to students. I think the government needs to take some big steps to make this institution better.

Admission: Starting the admission process at UCET felt less stressful than I expected. The online application was easy to navigate, counselling steps were clearly explained, and although verification took a bit of time, the staff support made it manageable. Final registration went smoothly.

Academic: Our teachers are definitely qualified and they try to help us. But the teaching quality overall is not up to the mark at all. We barely get any practical knowledge here, which is a big problem because the college doesn't really prepare students for jobs in the industry. Also, the number of papers is too much. Each semester we have 6 papers to clear, and then in the 7th and 8th semesters, it's 5 papers each, which is not good for us students.

Placement: Our college doesn't bring any companies directly for placements. Students have to join off-campus drives to get jobs. Only around 10% of students got placed like this. For internships also, the college never gives any help. Students do their internships by themselves. Even then, a high number of students found placements.

Campus: In my experience, the college really needs to improve its facilities. First off, there's no Wi-Fi on campus, which is a big problem. For electronics students like us, we only get two labs, and there are no special labs for things like optical fiber, microwave, or communication. Another thing is the girls' hostels are quite few, and they're shared among all departments, whether you're from law or a PG course.

Admission: Overall, UCET handled admissions in an organized way. From online form filling to counselling, verification, and registration, each step was communicated clearly and managed well by the staff.

Academic: From my experience, learning at this college is very good, and it helps you get clear ideas for your future. This is because all the teachers here are excellent. You will find highly qualified and trained professors, and even Teqip faculty are present. Besides studies, you also get chances to learn extra things in different areas like games, science, and technology.

Placement: In this college, you get many opportunities for your career. You can choose between offline interviews or online ones. From my experience, going for online campus selection is the best way to land a higher salary package. The college also lets you intern with many companies, which helps a lot to get a better package. Plus, we even get to go on industrial tours here.

Campus: In our college, there is no boys' hostel facility so most guys have to find PGs or rented rooms nearby. For girls, a hostel is available, but it has very few rooms and beds. Because of this, many students end up living outside the campus area.

Admission: Although waiting for the merit list felt long, once counselling started, everything at UCET moved efficiently. Verification and registration were guided well, and the final admission letter came without delay.

Academic: What I like about this college is that nobody faces any discrimination here; students from different backgrounds get to use all college facilities equally. The CSE department has a pretty balanced 1:1 gender ratio, though it drops a bit in IT, ECE, and mechanical branches. Lots of workshops happen all year, some are free and some you have to pay for. Also, students themselves run all the cultural and other activity clubs. They also have TFW (tuition fee waiver) admissions and give E-Kalyan scholarships, which are more than Rs. 35,000 per year. You can get this if you have a low-income certificate and meet other rules. For general students, the fees are Rs. 25,000 per semester. Plus, there's an extra Rs. 2,550 for the exam form each semester. For the first semester, it comes to about Rs. 34,000, which includes security money and other small charges. This security money comes back to you after you finish your engineering degree.

Placement: Mostly, students here get jobs through off-campus drives. But companies also visit our college every year for on-campus placements, which is a good thing. The salary package you can expect from on-campus jobs is about 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA on average. For internships, the college does not provide them all the time. However, if you manage to do an internship at an IIT or NIT, the college will help with your financial costs. Plus, if you clear the NPTEL exam, the exam fee gets reimbursed to you.

Campus: Here, the infrastructure is quite good.

Admission: The admission process for UCET was quite organized. After checking the merit list, the online registration was straightforward. Document verification at the campus went smoothly, and the staff were cooperative during the counselling phase, clearing doubts about the fee submission. Overall, a clear onboarding experience.

Academic: There are no super strict rules for attendance at our college, which is quite nice. Also, the college gives good preparation for the GATE exam. When it comes to teachers, they are generally good and well-qualified. But the Teqip III teachers are truly excellent.

Placement: The placements at our college are a big letdown, honestly. Big companies just don't visit for hiring, and the placement cell itself is really lazy, not doing much. They also don't value sports or sportspersons. Can you believe I failed a subject while playing cricket for the college, and even after telling them, they did nothing to help? It feels like they just want to hand out degrees. So, you pretty much have to work super hard on your own to get off-campus jobs.

Campus: What I notice here is, our college is mostly just about studying and giving exams. They don't really help us learn new skills which is a big miss. Also, we don't have Wi-Fi facility on campus, and there's no playground either. For boys, there's no hostel inside the college campus. And getting around by train is tough because there's no railway station connection within the city.

Admission: What stood out during my UCET admission was the clarity. Counselling was well-organized, verification was smooth, staff helped during registration, and orientation made the next steps very clear.

Academic: At our college, we get to learn important programming languages like C language, C+, Java, and Python. Our teachers are very helpful to all students and they guide us for our future plans. They are well-qualified, and their way of teaching is quite good too. You just need a 6-8 CGPA, and the exams here are generally easy.

Placement: For local students, University College of Engineering and Technology, Vinoba, is a nice college. About 62% of students get placed here. When it comes to salary, the highest package is like 5-8 LPA, and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. The companies that visit for jobs are also not bad.

Campus: Honestly, the college infrastructure is just okay, not really like what you expect from a big engineering college. But on the good side, we have excellent facilities like a great library, proper classrooms, and well-equipped labs. Wi-Fi is also there. The college canteen is pretty good too, serving decent food. For any health issues, medical facilities are available right on campus. Also, they make sure to conduct sports and games regularly for students.
