University of Science and Technology Admission Deadlines

USTM typically follows an annual admission cycle, with most programs opening applications in March–April and closing by June–July for the academic year starting in August. Exact dates vary by program and are announced on the university website each year. For the 2024–25 session, UG and PG applications were accepted from March 15 to June 30, 2024, with late applications considered on a case-by-case basis. The application fee ranges from INR 800 to 1,200, depending on the program. Merit-based scholarships, including fee waivers up to 50% for top performers in entrance tests or board exams, are regularly offered. Candidates are advised to check the official portal for program-specific deadlines, as some professional courses (e.g., law, pharmacy) may have staggered schedules.

University of Science and Technology UG Admission

USTM offers a diverse array of undergraduate programs, including B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, BA, B.Com, B.Pharm, B.Ed, LLB, and allied health sciences. Admission to most UG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent), though engineering (B.Tech) and some professional programs require scores from national or state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, NEET, or CUET. For B.Tech, typical JEE Main cutoffs have ranged between 70–85 percentile in recent years, though direct admission is also possible for high board scorers. The total intake across UG programs is estimated at 1,200–1,500 seats annually, with B.Tech accounting for about 300–400 seats.
