Academic: In VIT Vellore, we have this FFCS, which means Fully Flexible Credit System. This system is great because you can actually choose your own class timings and even pick which teachers you want. They have two main schedules here. One is for morning theory classes, so theory happens in the morning and labs are in the evening. The other schedule is for evening theory, where both theory classes and labs are in the evening. Students can just pick whatever schedule works for them, which is nice.

Placement: VIT Vellore offers pretty good placements. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the highest package went up to 1.2 crore, which is amazing. But let's be real, not everyone will get a 1 crore package. You need to keep your CGPA above 9 and have really strong skills to land a decent salary. The only downside is that VIT gets really overcrowded, so you have to figure things out and manage on your own there.

Campus: At VIT Vellore, we have seven academic blocks with really nice buildings. It's cool that one of them, PRP, is even the biggest academic block in all of India. About the hostels, VIT Vellore gives four types of rooms: AC, Non-AC, Deluxe, and Apartment. The fees for your hostel depend on which type of room you choose.

Academic: Course curriculum here is really good, it's what the industry actually looks for. Talking about our teachers, they are very qualified and know their stuff well. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to understand what they are saying, but they are always ready to help. Exams are usually okay, not too tough, not too easy. Most of us pass easily, like around 85-90% of students in our batch clear the exams.

Placement: Placements here are quite impressive. This year, someone got a huge package of around 1 crore per year, and the minimum package was about 5 LPA. Many big tech companies like Google, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys come for campus placements. Not just from India, but from other countries too. About 70% of students who have a CGPA of 9 or more and good coding skills manage to get internships. Most of us end up in technical roles, which is what we study for anyway.

Campus: I like about VIT is that the Computer Science department is super big, one of the largest here. Because of this, they have really good facilities. For example, our classrooms are big and spacious, and they have SMART boards and internet, which is very helpful. The library is also huge with tons of books on every topic you can think of. They even have these self-service machines to find books easily. And for staying, the hostel is well-equipped with good Wi-Fi and nice food. You can choose between AC and non-AC rooms too. Plus, there are canteens and sports areas available on campus.

Placement: My experience at VIT Vellore has been good, especially with placements. A lot of students are interested in our course because it is in high demand. We have a good placement rate, over 85 percent of students get jobs. I got placed in Techmojo with 11 LPA. For our course, the salaries are pretty good, going from 9 LPA at the lowest to 88 LPA as the highest. Big companies like Zomato, PhonePe, Google, and Amazon come to recruit from us.

Campus: Campus here is really nice, full of green trees so you get fresh air all the time. Our college infrastructure is good, and even the hostels on campus are good. Inside, every floor in the hostel has fast Wi-Fi. Also, the classrooms are kept very clean and neat. And the best part is hostel food, it's healthy and tastes good, they maintain it well.

Academic: From my experience, the teachers here are really helpful and good, and many of them work super hard for students. The course curriculum is also quite relevant and feels good for our studies. Our exams are known to be very strict, which is good because it makes us ready for the industry. But honestly, semester exams are easy to clear if you just study a little bit sometimes. The passing mark is 50%.

Placement: There are many kinds of jobs you can get after studying here. Like, you can be a Data analyst, Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer. Other options include Data Engineer, SD Engineer, R&D, BI Developer, and Quantitative analyst. They also have roles for Analytics engineer, Cyber security, Big data Engineer, NLP Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, Statistician, Data Science intern, and even ML Oops Engineer.

Campus: Our college fees are quite affordable, and the overall infrastructure is good. The food in our hostel is also really good, way better than what you get in other hostels. We have good Wi-Fi connectivity here too. All the hostel facilities are well-maintained and good, actually better than many other places. The mess food and overall budget for the hostel are somewhat better. Also, we have good options for sports and games.

CAT 2 lets you use books, but don't be fooled, the questions are still quite hard.

Placement: When it comes to getting jobs, our college is really good, almost everyone gets placed, like more than 99% of students. The average salary people get is 9.9 LPA, which is quite nice, and someone even got a huge offer of 1 crore per year! Even the starting salaries are good, usually between 3.3 to 4 LPA. Many big companies come here to hire, like Google, Microsoft, Deloitte, and Apple. Students from my course can get jobs as software engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and even in HR roles.

Campus: Our college has really good facilities for students. The library here is packed with many books. For Wi-Fi, it is decent but you can only get it in the library and in the hostels. They have both AC and non-AC rooms, and the kind of room you get depends on your CGPA or your roommate's CGPA. The food is sometimes good and sometimes not so good, it really depends on which mess you pick. We also have a lot of sports stuff like a gym, a swimming pool, courts for volleyball and basketball, table tennis, and a big ground for playing football and cricket.

Placement: College claims 100% placements, but this year I feel like maybe 90% got placed. The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA, and the lowest was 8 LPA. Top companies like Nvidea and Seimens come for our course. Most students from my course get roles in HR and management. Honestly, I don't have much idea about internships.

Campus: For our course and department, the facilities and infrastructure are really good. We get decent WiFi too, usually around 2 Mbps speed. The classrooms are nice, but they are non-AC. The library is excellent, though it can get pretty crowded sometimes. Food quality here is good, and it's nice that they have a night mess also. Medical facilities are good for students, and for sports, you can find all kinds of stuff there.

Campus: The hostel here is good, and the food they give is also very nice. They even give first preference to health in the hostel. Wi-Fi connection is available in the hostel and also in the library, which is very helpful for studies. The labs and classrooms have good infrastructure too. Plus, if you're interested in sports, there's always a chance for you to play.

Placement: Last year, for my course, about 75-80% of students got placed, which is pretty good. The highest salary someone got was around 85 to 90 LPA, and the average was honestly about 8.9 LPA. Even the lowest package was decent, between 3.5 to 3.9 LPA. Many big service IT companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and Cognizant came for recruitment. Also, about 62-65% of students got internships from major companies like TCS, HCL, and Infosys. They offered roles like data analyst, software developer, and more.

Campus: Honestly, for the high fees we pay, the college facilities and infrastructure really need a lot of improvement. The hostel rooms are quite bad, and the mess food is also not good at all. They seriously need to improve the quality of food provided.

Academic: Our college has teachers from different countries, and some PhD students also teach here. We have a good number of teachers for students, like one teacher for every 15 students.

Placement: Right now, I'm in my third year of the integrated M.Tech course for software engineering at VIT. Our batch hasn't had placements yet since we're only in the third year. But I can tell you about our seniors' placements. Around 80 to 90% of students from their batch got placed. The highest salary was really good, between 40 LPA to 50 LPA. The average package was 8 to 10 LPA, and even the lowest package was decent, around 4 to 5 LPA. Many big companies came to recruit, like Amazon, PayPal, Zoho, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Also, a good 80% of students from our course managed to get internships. They got roles like full-stack developer, data analyst, business analyst, and software development engineer.

Campus: At our institute, the facilities are quite good. The campus is really huge; I've even heard that a big part of Vellore city is actually VIT itself. Our library is massive and has all the academic books you could need. Classrooms here can fit 70 students each. We also have labs, a seminar hall, an auditorium, and a conference hall, and all of them are top quality. For any medical emergency, there's a center with an ambulance and doctors available for every building block. Security is also tight, with guards placed every 50 meters. The college has many hostel blocks, and I've heard the mess food is very good, though I'm a day scholar so I don't have personal experience with the hostels.

Also, the passing results can really depend on who is teaching that subject. For exams, we have three parts in each semester: CAT 1, CAT 2, and the final exam. CAT 1 and CAT 2 are basically like our mid-semester tests, and the final is the big exam for the whole semester.

Placement: In my course, placements are really good, with almost 99% of students getting placed every year. Even the Tata group hires a lot of people from our college. For internships, we get chances from many external companies. I don't remember all the names, but major ones like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, and Mahindra visit our campus. So, you can see many prominent companies come here.

Campus: My college has really good facilities, and the infrastructure here is quite amazing. The library is actually the biggest attraction on our campus, it's super nice. Labs are also good. Talking about Wi-Fi, it's only available in the hostels for about 18 hours. The food served is good. Overall, you can expect pretty decent facilities. We also have a hospital on campus, but its services are a bit expensive.
