IP-IIT- Merit Cum Means Scholarship

The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is designed to support academically accomplished students who require financial assistance. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in the UG program or 2-year M.Sc program. To qualify, a student must have a minimum SPI/CPI of 6.50 and an annual family income not exceeding INR 4,50,000. Successful applicants receive a monthly stipend of INR 1,000 for two semesters and are also exempted from tuition fees.

IP-IIT- Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students

This scholarship is intended to promote quality education among Scheduled Caste students by providing financial support. Each year, IIT Patna offers 12 scholarships to SC students with an annual family income of less than INR 6,00,000. Recipients are exempted from full tuition fees and also receive additional benefits such as an annual allowance of INR 3,000 for books and stationery, a monthly stipend of INR 2,200 for living expenses, and a latest computer or laptop worth INR 45,000.

IP-IIT- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students

Funded by the MHRD, Department of Higher Education, this scholarship is available for UG students. Eligible students must have scored above the 80th percentile in 10+2 and have a parental income of less than INR 8,00,000. The scholarship, which is renewable, is awarded to students who maintain a minimum of 50% marks in their exams and a 75% attendance record. UG students are awarded INR 10,000 while PG students receive INR 20,000.

IP-IIT- Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF

This scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Railways to UG students at IIT Patna. The scheme is available to two wards per family, and students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their 10+2. Male students receive a monthly award of INR 2,000, while female students receive INR 2,250. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in professional degree courses such as BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, B.Ed, BBS, BCA, MCA, B.Pharma, etc.

IP-IIT- Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship for Minority Communities

The Ministry of Minority Affairs offers this scholarship to both UG and PG students from minority communities who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their 12th standard or previous final examinations and whose annual family income does not exceed INR 2,50,000. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee and provides a maintenance allowance of INR 1,000 for ten consecutive months in an academic year. It can be availed by students enrolled in any technical and professional program at UG or PG level at IIT Patna.

IP-IIT- Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities

This scholarship, funded by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, is designed to support students with disabilities. Eligible students must have a minimum disability of 40% and a parental annual income of INR 6,00,000 or less. The scholarship covers tuition fees up to INR 2,00,000 per annum, a monthly maintenance allowance of INR 3,000, a special allowance of INR 2,000 per month, and reimbursement for the purchase of a computer worth INR 30,000 and assistive devices up to INR 30,000 related to the specific disability.
