IIT Tirupati Placement Policies for the 2024–25 academic session, here is a structured overview of the key guidelines and procedures:

  1. Registration

  • Mandatory Registration: Eligible students must register on the CalyxPod platform to participate in the placement process.

  1. Eligibility

  • Who Can Apply: Final-year regular students of IIT Tirupati with a minimum CGPA of 5 and no more than 10 backlog credits at the time of registration.
  • Ineligible Categories: Sponsored students, project staff, part-time students, and post-doctoral fellows are not eligible.
  • Deferral Provision: Students who had previously deferred placements by submitting the 'Deferral Form' on time are also eligible, provided they meet the above criteria.

  1. Resume Guidelines

  • Template Usage: Students must use the institute's resume template for the on-campus recruitment process.
  • Accuracy: All information provided in the resume should be genuine. Any discrepancies can lead to deregistration from the placement process.
  • Submission: Resumes must be uploaded on CalyxPod, and students should register for individual companies by the specified deadlines. No extensions will be granted.

  1. Pre-Placement Talk (PPT)

  • Attendance: Students must attend the PPTs of companies they are interested in. If unable to attend, they should inform the CDC at least 12 hours in advance.
  • Dress Code: Formal attire is mandatory for all interactions with companies, both in-person and online. Prohibited attire includes:

  • Clarifications: Students are responsible for seeking clarifications regarding salary breakup, job profile, etc., during the PPT.

  • Resume Updates: Students should keep their resumes updated and regularly check for announcements on CalyxPod.
  • Slot Allocation: Placement slots are decided and allotted by the companies to the CDC.
  • Multiple Processes: Students can attend multiple processes during a particular slot as per their convenience.
  • Punctuality: Students must log in at least 30 minutes before the reporting/test time. Latecomers may be barred from participating in that company's selection process.
  • Offer Acceptance: If a student receives multiple offers simultaneously, they must accept one, and the other offers will be canceled.
  • Spot Offers: Companies can roll out spot offers during interviews. If a student accepts such an offer, they will be excluded from other ongoing processes.
  • Dream Company Provision: After receiving a job offer, a student is out of the regular placement process but is allowed to participate in the selection process of exactly one Dream company, provided they are eligible.
